- All of the best Victorious episodes share quite a few things in common, even with other Nickelodeon shows. Victorious is one of the more memorable shows from the era of the network and its actually unsurprising as to why, when you go back and watch the show. While it may not have been the best show on TV by any stretch of the imagination. It did try to do things differently within its three seasons of episodes. Victoria Justice and Victorious are hard to forget, and this is why.

The episode I remember the most vividly is the one where they get stuck in a van and they end up drinking from a really dirty fish tank.
And Cat reenacting the pottery scene from Ghost with a random frat boy she met on the beach.
And Jade kept talking about how she couldn't sweat lmao

It was fun. It was something different from Icarly. Every character was special and rememberable. The series has the best songs aside from Big time rush. I mean the second most viewed Nightcore song is from Victorious
Speaking of Icarly, they even did a collab! One of the best episodes in the entire series. Personally the show felt more of a teens show more than for elementary school kids but I still enjoyed it. Best Nickelodeon show for shipping. Who would have ever guessed Ariana Grande would become so famous after watching this show am I the only one?

I guess it has to do with how marketable you are, Tori Vega was a boring character in a show full on interesting people so Victoria Justice music career did not skyrocket the way they wanted. While Cat was interesting and Ariana was marketed as the next Mariah Carey. And Selena Gomez was known to be Alex Russo and a wizard then she dated Justin Bieber so people were looking at her. If they gave Victoria Justice a more interesting character and a way to get her looked at then she would’ve been successful in the music industry

Trxps she is a great singer, the music industry doesn’t really have much to do with your ability to sing lets be honest. Victoria Justice just wasn’t able to differentiate herself from Tori Vega. And there was this guy (Ariana’s manager) I forgot his name (I think it was like Scooter Braun), but he seemed against everyone who isn’t Ariana. I remember seeing a video about Taylor Swift talking about him trying to sabotage her and even Ariana fired him. He did something that I forgot to try to make only Ariana musically famous. I think Victoria Justice did nothing about it so she just focused on acting while Taylor kinda fought for herself to be in the music industry

If Ariana Grande had been cast as Tori, Jade, Trina or literally any other character on any Nick show she wouldn’t have found the success that she did. Cat Valentine‘s personality and style was a sensation amongst middle school girls and everyone wanted to replicate her. Ariana incorporated the character into her solo career early on and even though she’s obviously found much more success after moving on, Ariana 100% needed that character to catapult her career. Cat walked so Ariana could run.
I still remember because well I love they actually made characters important and likeable, like adorable cat, mean with attitude jade, beck who's a badass, robbie, a nerdy but a light hearted man, Andre, musical partner and swell friend, and tori, a talented popular person

I think it’s popular because of the idea that every person could be an artist. A lot of people wonder why Tori was so “bland” in comparison to other characters, but it think her normality is the reason she was chosen as the lead. The idea that you could be normal, geeky, a model, childish, mean, etc and still be successful. The show thrived in diversity and subversion of the tropes to explore how everyone deserves a shot in their dreams
Another reason why everyone wanted to live in this fantasy was that everything was so luxurious. They drove nice cars, they were always so well dressed and styled and the phones and computers at the school looked like something, apple would come out with in in 2032

Caleb Mayfield you know what’s shocking? They actually were. During its run from 2007-2009 NBB was the number 1 viewed show on Nick. More than Zoey 101, Drake and Josh, Ned’s Declassified, etc. and had songs on the chart. The only reason why the show ended was because it was getting so popular that Nick wanted to expand it to more episodes a season. The band used to only film for episodes in the summer and Nick wanted them to film episodes while they were in school too but Nat and Alex Wolff’s mom said no because she wanted them to focus during school and only film the show in the summer. When she said no that’s when Nick decided to cancel the show. It was very popular during it’s era and the only reason why it’s not considered popular now like the other shows from its era is because the new generation doesn’t know it due to Nick never syndicating it after it ended like the other shows.

What's weird is that I remember Tori being so dislikable. I liked most of the other characters more than I liked her lol

I think it was less that she was dislikable and that more compared to literally every character in that show she was just kind of plain and had no interesting quirks like the rest of them.
I remember hating Tori's sister more than Tori herself. In one episode, Tori made a big musical performance for her sister's birthday, but she didn't like it. Even when I first saw that episode, I was annoyed by it.
in a world where every character commits major rights and wrongs in their relations and there are no heroes or villains we tend to like the more interesting characters rather then the more grounded ones. We will rarely find Jade, Cat or even Beck alikes in real life, but I can certainly see myself in Tori's position. Its really ironic, but she usually gets out-shined by her friends. I do like her tho, more than I like Robbie or Andre tbh

I think another reason this show is so memorable is the cast themselves. After rewatching the show recently, I noticed one major thing about this cast compared to all of Dan Schneider's other shows. They were all great actors and very talented people in general. Sure, the scripts weren't always perfect, but the talent in that cast was just insane to me. It was the first time in a long time where I felt that the comedy wasn't just "let's be loud!" At times, yes of course. It's still a Nickelodeon show, but they still found other, calmer ways to make the joke. I would also say to look at all other Dan Schneider cast members. How many of them do you still hear about today? How many have careers that are still lasting? It seriously comes down to Keenan Thompson, Josh Peck, Yvette Nicole Brown (who's a side character in most of the shows), and the entire leading 6 character cast of Victorious, including Sikowitz. The show was enjoyable to watch not only because it was pandered towards us, but because that cast did their jobs and made the show entertaining.

When this show premiered I was 12 and just starting to really get into teen dramas (i.e. ABC Family, CW). The shows I had been watching on Disney and Nick were close to their ends and I wasn’t too keen on watching the newer shows premiering on those networks, but I did watch Victorious when it premiered and I honestly still love it to this day and find myself watching re-runs often

This is one of those shows that just never got to end. It’s almost as though they weren’t given time to give it a proper ending. That’s why we will always want more

It also revolved around a group of 6 friends and an older sister. Rather than the typical a girl, her girl best friend, boy best friend, and little brother. It gave it more opportunities for different scenarios, multiple levels of friendship/relationships, and more character variation in general.
I remember it because it was on when I was in my teens
And it had lots of innuendos so it felt mature but stupidly fun

Victorious is still one of my favorite shows from Nickelodeon, but icarly will forever be my first favorite show 😂💯
