    I am a beginner with plants. I tend to kill them, so I researched and found out these are easy plants for beginners. I have ordered 2 and am expecting them in a few days! Thanks for the tips!

      Awesome! I feel like for plant parents that love too much a moisture meter is a most. It helped me in the beginning to stop the over watering. Either way I'm sure you will do great. Good luck! 💚🌱

      @@lizbetcuevas1496 I used to in the beginning but I have honestly not mist them in a long while. I don't feel like it needs it. I do wash the leaves every 2 weeks to a month with lemon juice & water or soapy water and they love that.

      @@vintageintentions oh okay I'll do that . also what can I do to make them look more fuller ?

    • @vintageintentions
      @vintageintentions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lizbetcuevas1496 what I do and suggest is to get some cuttings from the mother plant. Cut them abt half an inch from the node. Dip them in rooting hormone and then place them in water. In abt 2 weeks you will see new roots developing. Wait for them to be abt 2in before you place them back in the soil. Then water the plant and will look much fuller and happier :)

    Hi, I’m also love heartleaf philodendron in fact I got 3 of them, my newest one was Brazil Philadendron and Pink , and green heartleaf, girl I love it. Here I’m your new subscribers to your channel. Thanks for sharing and I’m about to get stick so it will climb.

    Once a week is probably too much. That's why leaves come out small when things are too wet or not enough indirect light. All of the philodendron like moist with bright light to reach to. Think of a jungle in Brazil 🇧🇷

    I definitely need some help with my heart leaf ! I’ve had mine for maybe 3 months now and I’m noticing that they are drooping and don’t look as alive as it was when I first got it. The stems seem like they are very loose and not in the soil (idk if that makes sense lolol).
    I’ve used the marphyl soil enhancer from Amazon last month and ever since they didn’t look too great. I’m really hoping to get some tips to help it come alive again 😩

      Hello Siska! I'm very sorry to hear what is happening to your Heartleaf Philodendron. They are beautiful and normally easy plants.
      After reading everything I wanted ask you a couple things. You mentioned you had the plant for 3mo. Has it been repotted? If not, I would suggest checking on the roots to see it there is root rot or burned roots from over fertilizing. Plants have different fertilizer needs. I've made that mistake in the past and I lost a plant because of it. Now I make it a point to repot the plant as soon as is acclimated to my home. I would also highly suggest to plant in terracotta to avoid over watering and look at the leaf tip vend/curl before watering it. The one I have in terracotta I water once a week or every 10 days.
      You got this. Good luck!
      Feel free to find me on Instagram and send a photo of the plant in case you have any other questions. Hope this helps new planty friend!

    Hi Misha! Just discovered you! Great info! Can u tell me how to propagate in soil? Like how often to water? Does it need direct Sun? Thanks so much?

    • @vintageintentions
      @vintageintentions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Cindy! Was wondering which plant were you planning to propagate? I rarely do propagations in soil. I tend to use mostly water or sphagnum. The times I have done it in soil I tend to keep them in higher humidity for a few weeks & medium lighting & water as I normallyw would. But again, depends on the species. If you are new to plants please consider water propagation. I tend to add rooting hormone to the cutting, place it in medium lighting and in a week or 2 you will see roots. After a couple inches simply transfer to soil. Hope this helps and thanks for watching planty friend 💚

    I have one but 1 leaf turned yellow which is a sign of overwatering, right? I water them once a week.

    • @vintageintentions
      @vintageintentions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Riri, if only one leaf turned yellow it could just be an older leaf. If it's several leaves than it might be. I would highly suggest a terracotta pot to avoid over watering. Hope this helps :)
