Hello, i just wanted to ask if you have experience working within japanese industry. Im currently interested in studying to become a navy officer and i also want to master a 3rd language (english and spanish) but i dont have it clear about studying japanese or german if i want to have more job opportunities.
Question - When you talk of salaries per month is it paid all through the year including the time when you are on shore?
I want to join in this job....but mg my qualifications are degree discontinued. I am eligible for this job?

When we are off duty that means we are on holidays, are those leaves paid leaves or unpaid leaves? Like, we are on holiday for at least 2-3 months depending upon the time we served on a particular ship. Do we get any salary during our holidays or its just unpaid leave?

Most companies no salary on leave. This is because each sailing is a contract for 6-9 months. Even if there is a company pays you on leave; they take part of your salary and pay you the amount on leave.

Hi!!Karan my son is in std 12 .he has chosen neet, nda and merchant navy for his career options. I too, do like adventurous high profile job for my son. He is physically fit his eye sight is bit of a problem but he can see without specs also. His is cylindrical type. I'm in dilemma as next year by now we have to decide. Is it a good option to join merchant navy if he passes entrance. Please reply as I'm anxious.And bdy you resemble Siddharth Malhotra,bollyhood actor pretty much take it as complement 😀

Karan,during your journey when you arrive at your specific destination,for how much days you stay over their?

But don't think you go to a hotel to stay. You still stay on board the ship and quite likely never will go out. There's a lot more work at ports, minimum 12 hrs and quite likely 18 hrs.
due to huge supply of junior officers these days, will we see a high competition at senior officers level down the line when theese junior officers rise through ranks?
Yes and one thing is if you don't have any backup you are screwed colleges are churning out so many cadets when ships are less the jobs will also be less and the applicants will be many and you can't become rich instantly it requires at least 10 years tho reach at a senior level considering present scenario better graduate in Engg or medical or any other field and find a good job on land intially you would be earning less but your graph will rise steadily and you won't have to give exams for your lifetime

And i heard oppurtunies will be even less for upcoming years bcoz of covid,what are your views and suggestions.

Hey, how modern is your average merchant ship ? I wanna do something like this because the life experience you get sounds like none other and I love nature. However, I feel guilty to say I'm a technology geek so I wouldn't see myself stay on a ship for 5-6 months without doing a sport or having access to youtube or tv or something technological, entertainment-wise anyways.

After spending 1 year at college you have to sail for 18 months and you will get salary
