Geläut der Gloriosa zu"Mariä Himmelfahrt" (15.8.2021)

Am 15.8. Läutete die Gloriosa gegen 10:55 Uhr anlässlich des Feiertages "Mariä Himmelfahrt" der auch der Gedenktag des Patrons ist dem der Dom geweiht wurde. Die Gloriosa wurde 1497 von Gerhard van Wou gegossen. Sie hat den Schlagton e⁰ . sie ist 11,45 Tonnen schwer. Sie zählt zu den klangschönsten Glocken der Welt. Daher wird sie gelegentlich auch "Königin aller Glocken" genannt.

Yes this bell is one of the beautiful sounding bells on earth. It's the "Queen of all bells".

@@SmaugAltair I believe it can be heard all over Erfurt. But with modern technology growing and motor vehicle sounds being loud, the sound today might not be as loud as it was first installed i.e the 16th century. it is in fact still loud. but with machine sounds increasing, not so much anymore.

@@EngPheniks I think in the middle ages you could hear the Gloriosa all over Erfurt . But now it is impossible to hear that bell . ;-) The Bell was casted in 1497. This year was the 525th Birthday of the cast .

ja finde ich auch. Die Gloriosa wird ja nicht umsonst "Königin aller Glocken " genannt. Sie ist Erfurts coolster Klangkörper
