I think Imu's Power is related to the constellation Draco. Some images show the tongue of Draco looking exactly like that which stabbed Cobra and Sabo. Not to mention, Draco, in Phoenician/Canaanite traditions, was believed to have been slain by a Sun-God. It would also make sense that Imu is THE Celestial Dragon, literally a Dragon in the Stars. The One Piece is Lillys sword, which was enhanced with JoyBoys Haki, which is the only weapon strong enough to kill Imu. It is only capable of being wielded by someone with the D. I believe Imu is the king 'St Imu' who found first original devil fruit, the devil of the sea and ate it in either curiosity or search of power. It took over his mind, consciousness and personality and then absorbed / merged with all of the other kings and queens of the void century which is why Imu always refers to itself in the third person as 'Mu will tell you' or 'Mu wants to test the mother flame' as well as why its voice sounds like multiple distorted voices at the same time.

The Gorosei are not all based on Yokai. Warcury is based off a chinese boar legend and Ju Peter is based on the western sandworm. So technically Imu does not have to be limited to just a Yokai transformation. Imu backwards is not Umi, Japanese does not work like that. I-Mu backwards = Mui, nothing to do with the sea. Imu being in Lili's body would be weird considering Lili looks like Vivi and Cobra never reacted to anything to do with that. Imu didn't destroy Lulusia to kill Sabo, cmon Ohara lol.

I just had a thought about a theory, tho it's very light and unfounded. Well, IF Imu is the sea devil and somehow has a connection with devil fruits, that could explain why people die after consuming more than one devil fruit. Could be that Imu is somewhat connected to all devil fruits, and when two devils get in the body of a person, Imu's strength is raised over that person, making it possible for him to kill them. With this theory, it could be that Black Beard either works for Imu and that's why he isn't affected, or that he found a way to dodge Imu's powers over devil fruits. Or it could be something else, like the two devils ( devil fruit consciousness/powers ) clashing when eaten and destroying the person, like your antibodies fighting a disease, and accidentally, attacking your own cells. Or it could be some sort of fail safe put in place by whoever created the devil fruits, so no greedy person or ruler can go around devouring all devil fruits.

What if the ringed eyes are actually "eyes within eyes", in other words: there is a person inside the person we see, only visible in the eyes. Mihawk having the vampire theming actually kind of fits with this as well since vampires are immortal in real-world-lore, which might imply that Imu & Mihawk both switched bodies with someone who had the eternal youth surgery performed on them. Also Zou has ringed eyes, and has also been walking the world since the void century.
i have a wild theory that the most supreme form of haki is the ability to manifest creatures or other thing with it due to the fact that when shanks killed kid a phoneix appeared in glowing light and when garp used the galaxy impact a galaxy appeared before him this made me think that its possible that you can create manifestations of your haki's form my best evidence however is just imu making that weird frog looking thing to block sabo that was coated in haki suggesting that maybe that was a supreme form of haki that was used but its also a stretch

Also Imu is wearing a traditional Victorian mourning dress which have dark black veils. So Imu is mourning Lily by wearing a funeral dress in her body.

Either something an elder Star has done or will do is because of Lilly or Imu will have to fight Lilly's will while fighting Luffy in their first fight. Something like that. Imu is in Lilly and Lilly's will will strike again. Lilly the next host of Imu had no better opinion than scattering the poneglyphs and maybe erasing her memory. She might have a strong enough will to somewhat live on and help in the final fight or the fight before the final fight, final push for the Strawhats. If Imu is Lilly it will definitely come at a cost. Lilly would have done a Kuma but a few hundred years longer to fulfill.

It would definitely makes sense if Imu is one of the original kings. There are lots of parallels to the real world. A citizen could be sentenced by a noble and a noble could be sentenced by a royal and a royal could be sentenced by the King/Queen. It's the same with the Celestial Dragons. There are the Kings of the countries, they are under the celestial dragons and they are under Imu. And then there are the seven warlords who are like the guard of the royals and the Gorosei act like a Council for Imu. People like Doflamingo, who lost their status would be like illegitimate childs from royals. Still powerful because he has noble or royal blood but not as much as an official royal member. And the Warlords would simply be the Kings that are rulers from different countries.

I think Imu's Power is related to the constellation Draco. Some images show the tongue of Draco looking exactly like that which stabbed Cobra and Sabo. I just had a thought about a theory, tho it's very light and unfounded.
Well, IF Imu is the sea devil and somehow has a connection with devil fruits, that could explain why people die after consuming more than one devil fruit.
Could be that Imu is somewhat connected to all devil fruits, and when two devils get in the body of a person, Imu's strength is raised over that person, making it possible for him to kill them. With this theory, it could be that Black Beard either works for Imu and that's why he isn't affected, or that he found a way to dodge Imu's powers over devil fruits.
Or it could be something else, like the two devils ( devil fruit consciousness/powers ) clashing when eaten and destroying the person, like your antibodies fighting a disease, and accidentally, attacking your own cells.
Or it could be some sort of fail safe put in place by whoever created the devil fruits, so no greedy person or ruler can go around devouring all devil fruits.

What if the ringed eyes are actually "eyes within eyes", in other words: there is a person inside the person we see, only visible in the eyes. Lilly the next host of Imu had no better opinion than scattering the poneglyphs and maybe erasing her memory. She might have a strong enough will to somewhat live on and help in the final fight or the fight before the final fight, final push for the Strawhats.
If Imu is Lilly it will definitely come at a cost. Lilly would have done a Kuma but a few hundred years longer to fulfill.

Okey, my idea. Imu is actually lilly. But she had her mind put in the body of an old weak ruler ( imu). Lilly was joyboy nakama and betrayed him, one of his nakama had the ope ope no me and as a last effort swap lily body with imu. Since her body died out but her mind got stuck in imu body, she has always been trying to get her body back and waited until some one very similar to her come to live. That is where vivi got in. Many many loopholes but would be fun.

I think the eyes mean something. Imu and mihawk have the same eyes but everyone forgets that zunesha also has the same eyes. Maybe there is a connection like the “colors” of haki. Imu being conquerors, mihawk being observation, and zunesha being armament?
Mihawl has the same pattern and colour. Zunesha has different colour.
Anyone else think that the florian triangle monsters might be related to Imu? Might just be me but the silhouette of the monsters in the mist resemble Imu but much larger(complete with the trademark red eyes), so maybe they're a fully matured entity from whatever species/race Imu may be and Imu is still technically a child by comparison?

If Imu is the Sea Devil, then for all we know they can be behind the Devil Fruit weakness to the Sea & those fruit eaters in contracts with Imu may be able to swim & use powers in Sea Prism Stone.
personally, highly doubt Imu is using another person's name. Because their very existence itself is already a huge secret known only to five people (and POSSIBLY doflamingo). Them also using a fake name on top of that would be redundant and make no sense.

It would definitely makes sense if Imu is one of the original kings. There are lots of parallels to the real world.
A citizen could be sentenced by a noble and a noble could be sentenced by a royal and a royal could be sentenced by the King/Queen.
It's the same with the Celestial Dragons. There are the Kings of the countries, they are under the celestial dragons and they are under Imu. And then there are the seven warlords who are like the guard of the royals and the Gorosei act like a Council for Imu. People like Doflamingo, who lost their status would be like illegitimate childs from royals. Still powerful because he has noble or royal blood but not as much as an official royal member. And the Warlords would simply be the Kings that are rulers from different countries.
Naw Lili can't be Imu because we directly see him lose his mind and kill a guy when she was mentioned to him. First scene he speaks in, it's all there.
