Fast question relating to Guernsey, when you purchaced your boat did it come with the moaring from the previous owner and transfered over or did you have to apply. Im looking at the possibiity of getting a boat (maybe from UK depending on whats around) but I am unsure on how you would moar the boat before you have been assigned a moaring.
Hi MrAshleyw100, good question! The boat came with a mooring in the QE2 marina, but that is not supposed to happen. Technically individuals cannot guarantee their mooring to the next owner. When you relinquish control of a mooring it's supposed to go back to the harbour office and they assign it to the next person in the waiting list. There are options for mooring outside of the marinas but obviously you're more exposed to the elements. Let me research the options and get back to you. Perhaps I'll do a video on that at some point.
