Hi Tomi,am new to your page, this very informative thanks for sharing, please where did you buy your insulated bags. Wow i never thought you can travel with cooked food to Canada because of the distance, and they also allowed you to travel with it..nice one thanks.
Thank you so much 😍🥰. I got some from thrift markets in Lagos - all those who sell Lunch bags etc. I had some from way back from all these UK grocery stores like ASDA, ALDI etc
Thank you so much Sis. Sea Cargo takes about 4 months 😁, I shipped them in July, so latest by August, they should be here. Sea Cargo is for anything that isn’t urgent . If it is urgent , just do Air Freight ( that takes about 5 days)
Thank you so much. You can get the bags from thrift markets . I got a few from Lagos thrift markets. I also had a couple I got from some UK grocery stores - ASDA, ALDI etc
Thank you for this video, this is my first time seeing a video on cooked food packed to Canada. I was very shocked and exicted, from what I have learnt from this video, I have that our few weeks after landing will be settled. Thank you thank you
And secondly, my flight plus layover is a little above 40hours, however, i also want to cook, freeze and come along with it. I'm a little anxious that the food may thaw due to the duration of the journey. What are your thoughts on that please?
People, listen to Tomi; she's the real deal. My journey was over 40 hours and yet my cooked food (stews and soups made it). Thank you so much. Will come back to render proper thanks ❤
Did you put it in your checking luggage by clothes or in food🧳 or in your hand luggage and I just want to make sure how many days did you keep the food in the freezer . Sorry my dear you said it all but I just want to find out more . Thank you a lot for video
Wow 😮 You carried an entire coldroom and restaurant freezer food 😂😂 That's a lot of food but it will serve your family of 5 a long time. This video is helpful for those moving to Canada.
@tomiadenuga I have been your videos since morning, just came across it today. And some reasons I am just having anxiety. Relocating is a lot, I must say. Thanks for posting all this. I have really learnt a lot.
Very informative video, well done ma'am. But I thought they used to say that one is not allowed to take chicken into Canada, please, can you explain how you managed to take it ? Or is it now allowed? Then, can foods like jollof rice and fried rice be carried too, provided it's freezed?
I have heard some people carry it in the past. I made sure it was cooked thoroughly and when I was asked, I said I had cooked food for our consumption. They were free to check my bags but they weren’t checked. The bags were all scanned and allowed to go through and yes, you can very well carry Jollof Rice etc provided they are frozen.
What kind of flight itinerary would you advice? If you have more than 5 hrs stop over or delays, how many hours are we looking at maximum and your frozen foods will still be ok?
you are the winner, you should start consulting on relocation packing for families 🙌

I don’t particularly consume Groundnut Oil, but there are loads of other cooking oil abroad so there is absolutely no need to take that along.
