Great video, May I ask at the start of my journey, what grease is preferable for the O'rings on the back of the case and also for the pushers? I assume not all silicone is created equally and terrified of using the wrong one on My G-Shock mud master.....Thank you I have subscribed.
I love your approach on how to ease into the craft without breaking the bank. Keep the videos coming. I am looking forward to seeing the detailed video on oiling.
Looking forward to the future videos, oiling seems to be a bit of a dark art, so guidance on the correct type and amount will be great. It's worth mentioning that you can buy some of the oils cheaper on ebay from people who have split larger bottles into smaller 1 or 2 ml containers which is ample for beginners, especially as many of the oils have a shelf life.
Whilst i can not cover every aspect of oiling i will go over some of the main points for sure. Its true you can find some sellers offering smaller amounts of the lubes mentioned, they are quite hard to decant into smaller tubes but if you can find them cheaper then go for them.
@@welwynwatches5976 Thanks Mike, appreciate that it's not a simple matter to compress years of experience at the bench into a xx minute long video, but all expert advice will be welcomed by me and many others I'm sure. I for one will only be trying things out on an 'ebay special' for practice/experience. Cheers.
great video. i recently starting getting in to fixing watches but something i have not seen too much information on is how to clean the movements if your just starting out and do not have one of the expensive cleaning machines.
What I would have liked to see is more on oil cups. In particular, how do you add oil to a cup with minimum waste when all you have is 2ml of 9010, for example? How long can you leave oil in cups? Things like that.
Thank you, sir, looking forward to the detailed videos soon!
