What you were saying about torque wrenches is my EXACT thought. Been wanting to grab the snap on digital for a long time. I run both 3/8 icon torque wrenches, one from 40-200inlbs that I absolutely love, and the other 3/8 from 20-100ftlbs. The bigger one I don’t trust, gives different reading a lot. I’m an auto tech and the snap on digital is extremely nice, I also think that bikes will introduce angle torque soon, meaning +90 degrees on some fasteners. That’s when I’m gonna jump and grab the snap on. Definitely a great investment! Also great video. EDIT** I would also HIGHLY recommend grabbing a set of Knipex Twin grip pliers. They are seriously impressive and hands down the best set of pliers I own. They make removing stripped bolts a breeze. One of those tools I don’t know how I did without before.
I feel the same about the 3/8 drive Icon; it can vary and it scares me sometimes. Noted on the pliers - I honestly don't have a really good set and will look into those! Thanks!
The impact driver made me smile. I've owned one since I was 10 (I'm 58) and scrounged up a Yamaha DT 60 (much to my parent's chagrin) that didn't run. It was my first bike. Hey, what did my parents expect? After seeing On Any Sunday, I couldn't think of anything else besides bikes. It's really their fault. So, I got some tools, learned how to work on engines, electrical, brakes, and suspension with that old Yammie. One of our neighbors who built choppers showed me how to lay down the shocks by welding in new mounts, which probably was the start of my fabrication interest. Today, I have a metric shit-ton of tools, welding, cutting, and machine equipment. I love to build things. That's all I want to do. I have to agree, the shop sink is a game changer. I really want to get a stainless one with a drainboard. Maybe like a used restaurant equipment piece. Also, I like your lighting setup. I've seen those lights before in another video and I thought they were scene lights for shooting video, not work lights. Currently, I have a lot of LED with areas divided as perimeter (over workbench areas) and floor. You almost cannot have too much lighting. One of the best things I did was to install a sub panel in the garage and divide off the feeds into lights, outlets split between east and west sides with breakers for each, separate 220s for welding, plasma, and machines, and one for a hard-wired compressor. I've also added roof ventilation to pull the heat out in the Summer. We are probably going to move from So Cal when I retire in a couple of years. I told my wife I would like to buy a big shop with a little house attached. That's 'the dream.
I had that same vise and removing a bearing from a kxf250 linkage broke one side in half. Had to go and buy a 10 ton press and a new vise. Luckily no one got hurt.
That’s an epic shop set up! Those tool box widgets look super helpful. I’ll order some up! Big props to you for seamlessly disclosing freebie/affiliate stuff! Anyhow, we need to link up and ride this summer! Either MT (maybe with Sam Schultz) or here in Bellingham. Cheers!
With mini splits, just make sure you service it regularly. Keep the filter clean and it will be a great addition. But they are high maintenance and make a ton of water. Those hexagon lights a legit and can’t wait to add a set to my garage.
Icon has a 3/8” electronic torque wrench for less then snap on and usually snap on trucks have a way to test your wrench to see if it’s within spec and will also send it off for you to get it calibrated just food for thought
Just set up my workshop in northern Wisconsin. Please tell me what kind of small space heater you used prior to getting the mini-split? Electric is quite costly here and kerosene has a nasty smell for such a small space (16 X 30). Any suggestions to get me through the first couple years as I save for the mini-split option would be greatly appreciated!
Look great dude but could you please tell me what the ink pen thing is called that you used in the cr250 giveaway build when you were doing the sides of the motor on the Honda engravings you put red ink or something in the Honda engraving
Looks good man! If you need a good quality torque wrench, precision instruments and CDI both OEM snap on wrenches for half the price. I run precision split beams and CDI electronic torque wrenches, can't go wrong. Keep up the good work 👍
I have a Ducati Monster I've done a decent bit of work on. I replaced timing belts last season. I also need to check valves and am also intimidated, but I think I'm going to do it this spring. One step at a time and attention to detail!
Hello i like the video but i was wondering im 13 and tall for my age and ive never had a dirtbike before where can i find a cheap one for under like 1000$
Hey I have a dirt bike that was caught on fire and I only have the motor and the frame and the motor is taking apart their are parts missing. Can you help me rebuild it
They're kinda hard to find anymore. Having your workshop well organized really helps with putting out quality work. Well done.
Finally an updated setup vid!!! I remember that older vid of you doing those cabinets and parts of this build out. I’d kill to have a garage 😂
Haha appreciate your support over the years!

I'll second knipex. I have a lot of their stuff. Its worth it.

As someone who owns the knipex ones, get the icon copy, they have less slop and cost significantly less
@@KincadePavichyou’re welcome! Also sweet shop set up. That mini split is going to be a life saver.
Your videos are so good keep up the good work🤘

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like quite the shop you've got! Appreciate hearing the story as well.
Man your setup is awesome and organized well. Im about to rebuild/revive a 98 Kx 250 and your channel has really helped me! Thank you for your videos.
lots of good ideas ... do not think i would do much different in my dream garage ... of which i am slowly working on ...

Appreciate it man! Still haven't ridden in Bellingham and probably need to make that happen!
Sick setup dude I’m working on my bike right now and I wish I had a setup like that to work on mine
Proper motorcycle tools,nice!!

Thanks a ton I'll keep that in mind with the mini split!

Interesting, I will look into them! Thanks!
this was absolutly cool and informative! thank you very much for sharing your toolery
Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you ever work on sport bikes? I have to do a valve adjust or hopefully just a check on my 2016 cbr1000rr and im terrified to do it.

PIN THIS! Biggest tip for exhaust springs is paracoard! Works wonders and even better then a stiff spring tool for those hard too reach springs.
Care to elaborate further? Can't say I've ever had an issue with the spring puller but would like to hear more about how you use paracord!
Hello i like the video but i was wondering im 13 and tall for my age and ive never had a dirtbike before where can i find a cheap one for under like 1000$
Great setup
Everything is perfect except the fire extinguisher is hard to reach in an emergency
I got on question if some brought you a bike like a kdx200 where would you start besides taking it apart?
Depends what it needs!
Great info! Which vacuum brake bleeder do you use
It's the Tusk one from Rocky Mtn
I see the Mikaela on the bike poster 😏
You need a shop press.
What website and or program do you use on your computer to access all of your service manuals?
It varies a lot; I buy some PDFs on eBay or wherever I can find them
Hey I have a dirt bike that was caught on fire and I only have the motor and the frame and the motor is taking apart their are parts missing. Can you help me rebuild it
Only thing missing is a stereo sound system !
Have a Bluetooth speaker system in the ceiling actually 🤘🏻
I am rebuilding my 2014 wr450 i was wondering what is the best piston to change it with
Wiseco!
Remember when you got your exhaust pipe repair tool from by chance?
He said before he bought it on ebay
