    I just LOVE your tutorials, Susan. Although I am new to creating art of any kind, I have learned so much from you. I am an extrovert and truly have missed seeing people in person during the pandemic. I've always had a creative flare, but never tried to paint until September of 2020. I have fallen in love with your style and enjoy each and every tutorial you create for us. I became a patron because I want to soak up all you have to offer. I thoroughly loved painting this beach scene and I feel that you have taught me that even though I am staying home more often now, I can still travel to many places through my artistic creation. You have been a Godsend in my life when I needed it most.

    Wow, that painting is fabulous. I was really skeptical about the blue sand and pink sky, but it worked out great. Made the painting come alive. And the underpainting with a different medium, first time I've seen that. it worked great. It negated the glare of the white paper. Thank you for this great tutorial.

    Susan, I am saying prayers for your family and your mother in-law. Thank you for continuing to paint and post during this time. I have a question that may have already been answered, have you tried Liquitex Mediums to fix your paintings? According to their website Gloss Medium, Matte Medium and Slo-Dri can be used with one part distilled water and used with an atomizer or airbrush to fix pastel, graphite, or chalk. I am just wondering if you have tried it, and if it darkened your colors and if you like it. Thank you for your time! Hugs and peace and light to you and your family.

    • @monetcafe
      @monetcafe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for your prayers sweetheart and also for that interesting information about Liquitex mediums. I’ve never tried this technique but I will certainly give it a go. I’ve pretty much noticed though that anything you spray on the pastel painting tends to darken it. But I’m definitely up for experimenting! Thanks again!
