The Range UK - Gemmy Knockoff Singing & Dancing Santa (5ft) 2019

- This is another Gemmy knockoff item as the audio is the same as the old 2005 - 2007 dancing Santas. This item was produced by the company Winter Wonderland I believe as that's all the info on the box and sold in The Range stores. This was bought in 2019 although in previous years these Santa's have been sold although there are slight differences between them. SO I'm not sure if it's the 2019 model or whatever.
There's a slight issue with mine, the audio cuts out slightly from time to time and also the volume can be turned up quite loud but can get distorted. I already returned a Santa as it was even worse, but I have seen other videos on TH-cam with no problems, so our store must have gotten a bad batch. Hoping to get the new Santa out this year but it's currently out of stock as it appears to be a much better model and sounds and looks so much better. There are already videos on TH-cam of it.

Wow the arms seem to move really good on this one compared to most! I will be reviewing the 2020 range santa soon, he is a massive improvement from past models, the sound cutting out has been fixed on him as well as some changes in the sycronisation, he also dances a bit quicker and the arms move really well. I think that is all the differences 😂

@@jordansheaffer Yeah I seen, I love the Santa band I've kept a lookout for either that one or the gemmy one for ages 😂 the home bargains santa is good too, I think I prefer the range one over it tho
@@HauntedSkull I also have a UK Gemmy Santa from 2005 on the way! £60 at auction. Not sure if everything works but all I know is that it does, so hopefully it swings and it’s head and mouth moves!

@@jordansheaffer That's awesome! they are easy to repair most of the time luckily as the issues they can either get are either split gears or broken rubber belt. I have 3 at the moment, 2015 range santa, 2020 range santa and the Gemmy 2018 one which I imported from the US
@@HauntedSkull It’s great to have one on the way, I’ve been looking for a Gemmy Santa for 14 years from when I saw one in town... As soon as I get it, I’ll upload a video of it! Might still get The Range one 😂

either he has a wire off the dancing and the only thang that worked was the head and the singing
Hello, I have the same one as you, but what happens, he stopped dancing, what could I do to make him dance again?
It’s more than likely a split belt that needs replacing, just remove the coat and body panel and you should find the motor and hear mechanism. If that doesn’t solve it, it could be either a loose wire or a dead motor.

Well yes he's not a knockoff but people call it that because it uses the same audio as gemmy
