    Looking great, both carriers out for a stroll. The past issues will only make them that much better for a long and successful service.

    @ cobra Emergency, many thanks for a great video with lovely clear close ups and great informative information 👍...what a fantastic piece of engineering that ship is very impressive, and impressive the way the tugs were pushing it around into position 👏.

    Why is it everyone else gets to these huge magnificent carriers but in Scotland we do not .....Glen douglas ...closed to traffic....leaves straight out to North Sea.....why not anchor of Greenock in the Clyde ....let us mere proud scots admire the ships we helped build ...now that proves we are a 1 nation .......

    How many other ships, have we had to mothball, to man these carriers????? Have extended family member serving, who told his father, ex RN himself, that he , and others, were being re-deployed to the carriers. Please tell me i am wrong.

      There are no mothballed warships these days unless you count Bulwark/Albion.

      The Union Jack only flown in port, as soon as the lines cast off she's at sea, the Jack lowered and the White Ensign flown from the stern. Often flown from the mast as would hinder aircraft movements when on the stern.

      @@tonys1636 And why can't we have nice big ensigns on our ships like the French for example, rather than the pitiful little - almost invisible - white ensigns trying not to get tangled up in the antennae that clutter most ships. Are we supposed to be anonymous?

    A large part of the defence budget in two baskets.. Stop kidding yourselves. These two ships are vulnerable to the latest weaponry that can be used against ships of this size. We would have been far better off building flotillas of small fast and highly adaptable vessels, including small submarines, to keep our coasts safe just as the Swedes and Norwegians have. The nuclear 'deterrent' today is a complete waste of money and should be scrapped. For disciplinary reasons, we should also stop mixing the sexes in vessels. Men and women to have their own vessels.

    • @Kakarot64.
      @Kakarot64. 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Having trouble getting enough Men AND Women to man the vessels doubt you'd find enough Women to man more than one or maybe two Frigates by taking them of all the other vessels, which will likely be nicknamed the Eastrogen barges or something by the rest of the service personnel if not something more explicit.

    • @Dewiart16
      @Dewiart16 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Kakarot64. I would expect no less from military or naval banter - no doubt the 'woke brigade' will try and ban this next. As regards poor recruitment, suggest setting up a large number of small naval bases all around the country and concentrate recruiting on a part-time basis from those local communities with strong maritime traditions. Work on the Swedish 'tank in the barn' policy of good localised defence. Small boats and small crews are the answer for good coastal defence though we would still need to keep a 'deep sea' fleet of around thirty frigates/destroyers for trade route defence.

      Yet another armchair admiral.
      Why don't the MOD sack all the real admirals and replace them with the loudmouths and idiots who infest any comments about the RN? The loudmouths think they can do a better job
