    It's great start to a year for honey. Same down here in KY, everything is blooming at once.

    Locust just finished blooming in VA. But plenty of clover and blackberries still going strong. And red raspberries are still to come 😁🐝💜🌼🍯

    We once raised an abandoned small possum that would fit into the palm of your hand. I remembered it like cut up bananas and cooked chicken along with other food our vet said it would like. Boy did it have teeth! While researching what it might eat we found either pound for pound or maybe alone they had more teeth than any North American mammal. A record of over 15 lbs. is the largest one ever anybody found and weighed. Sounds like an incredible honey flow on in your parts. BlackBerry blowing hear. Two kinds, one in thick high ever growing hedge and one smaller more flatter branches going out from the center. Maybe a longer logan berry type? How's the weather on your flower pollen and the plants ability to still produce nectar after getting wet going? Last week in the high 70's low 80's then Bam! Saturday it rained, it hailed, lighting strikes, rolling pop thunder, and snow here in the Sierra Nevadas of Northern California. And I wanted to go to Feather Fiesta Days and an antique car show down beliw Oroville Dam in the historic downtown streets. Bummer! Truckee got a weekend record of 2' ft. of snow I think. Randy Oliver must be loving that! Not. This week back into the high 80's low 90's. Hope your honey doesn't get too distasteful with that wild cherry bloom coming in that you showed us. Maybe you can use it to draw out foundation into drawn comb. I know Bob Binnie hates that nectar tasting cough syrup cherry 🍒 honey. A taste that keeps on giving I think he said. Fred Dunn just did a long picturesque video with little talking on a swarm coming into a robbed out double deep. Right before he was going to change its individual bottom board. Shucks! I was going to ask him about pounding rain watering down nectar or its ability to thicken on up after and how the plants recover from it like you mentioned on stream team but didn't get the chance. So long comment as usual. Good luck supering up. Thanks. 🐝

    We also have tulip poplar blooming at the same time! Lots of nectar when it isn't raining!

    Here in SE coastal VA, the blackberries AND privet are on at the same time, and the white clover has been on at the same time… had to double super all the hives! It’s so crazy that even the Flow hives and the Hogg halfcombs are almost full, and those usually don’t fill till September…

    I have same things blooming in SW PA. Tons of blackberry and wild cherry.
    Watched a recent Bob Binnie video where he said honey from wild cherry tastes like cough syrup. What's your take?

    • @NaturesImageFarmGregBurns
      @NaturesImageFarmGregBurns  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly…I think cherry honey is garbage. It’s going to taint such an incredible flow from locust and black berry.

    • @NaturesImageFarmGregBurns
      @NaturesImageFarmGregBurns  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sorry…garbage is a bit harsh. Cherry tends to have an unpleasant unmistakable medicinal bite that really just tastes off.

      After watching Bob's video, for some reason my Kubota decided to knock down two black cherries at the edge of my backyard, fifty feet from my hives...now more sun for blackberries 😅
