With the small load it had no problem running in eco mode and was so quiet we had to listen close just to see if it was running.*

Easy to set up and get running when we have power outages. I especially like the dual fuel feature as I don’t need to worry about aging gasoline and keep both on hand. Live in Texas where web had some power outage issues the past couple of winters and this gives me peace of mind for the refrigerator or small appliances as needed.

With Hurricane Beryl I'm putting mine to a test after 3yrs from date of purchase. Been running it for 5days. Going for 2nd oil change soon. Running 2 refrigerators, 2 lampshades, 4 electric fans. Charging phones and lights. Can this thing power a portable window AC?
Good video but you didn't say anything about the ground, when to use it and how. During a power outage I was going to use my Honda 2000 to operate my TV, but it would not. A friend told me it could because the unit was not grounded. Any ideas?

Three hours is the runtime for a tank of fuel under a high load so that is nothing abnormal unless you were under a light load. I haven't looked through my owners manual for that information yet but when you go to the Honda website and scroll down quite a ways it says a tank of fuel will last three hours to eight hours.
Of course. It just might not run the vacuum and the pressure washer. You’d want the larger one. We used to do auto detailing. And had the 7500 Honda, just way easier if you’re out all day on gas. This Honda will burn through unless you’re filling between details.

see the honda generator forum at hondagenerator.groups.io after 50 hour 10-30 conventional oil break in then run synthetic 10-30 for most climates. and a magnetic dip stick is a real good idea!! they work to keep the trash out of the open roller bearings! there are links and pix on the forum.
I know off turns it off! But it usually will click but when it been running for a good while you have to HOLD it in the off position otherwise it kinda of snaps back and won’t turn off
It’s too bad Honda didn’t add some sort of device to the new eu2200i generator and to the Bluetooth app to detect if the generator is moved/lifted off the ground (by a thief) or even gps location in the app, both with some sort of app alarm you could turn on using your phone. Hey Honda, if you decide to add these features, please send me a eu2200i and a Companion model! 😁

Ethanol gas has a short self life. It gums up and will plug up your carb. If you use your generator weekly.. Keeping fresh gas in it.. you will be ok. Most people do not use this generator that frequently. Long term.. Things just work better , for small engines like this. I run my generator only when power goes off.
I spent the extra money for a Honda only to find out that they vibrate like crazy there's even videos on TH-cam talking about it and I find it hard to believe that sooner or later that will not call some sort of performance problem there's no way anything can stay together shaking that much And vibrating that hard right out of the box I will never recommend anyone by a Honda.

for standard use... it is ok, easy handling, a little bit heavy but 2200 watts. big bad minus: in the summer at 30° this little bastard quits after 3 minutes as he should powerd our coleman roof clima.... hey the proce is premium, and i like to get a premoum machine and it works lika a B&S. that's poor honda.

I have just bought this generator, using it for the first time on my motor home. I filled the tank as instructed, all started well and a full tank only lasted 3 hours. How do I get better fuel consumption?
Three hours is the runtime for a tank of fuel under a high load so that is nothing abnormal unless you were under a light load. I haven't looked through my owners manual for that information yet but when you go to the Honda website and scroll down quite a ways it says a tank of fuel will last three hours to eight hours.

Sounds Like You Have Bad Fuel. Drain your tank, and clean out the bowl in the carb. And use fresh fuel with a fuel treatment in it.
I heard it was best to use ethylene-free gas. Also, that way you don’t need a fuel stabilizer if not used up within 3 months.

Mine when it’s been on for a while, when go to turn it off you have to hold in the off position till it turns off wondering is this normal.

michael dev it can run with ethanol. Fuel with ethanol with shorten the life of any engine. Always best to run ethanol free fuel in gas engines.

You can also use synthetic oil if you’d like. But doesn’t matter as long as it’s 10w30
