Thanks for sharing your Battle of the Blues … Enjoyed it immensely & felt like I could feel the fight on a few of those… Thanks Abell Frost / 1st Tide! 🤙
I’ve been watching your videos and listening to your podcasts. Would love to link up and kayak fish around Goodwin island/York river or maybe even the poquoson flats sometime. I’m also a veteran and I fish from a hobie outback.
Thank you for watching/listening! I’d be down to go out and try to get on some fish up there with ya. Haven’t fished the York before but I’ve been wanting too. Shoot me a DM on facebook🤙🏼
I probably caught 60 flounder in July and finally got 2 keepers Saturday. It's been a grind. I got a keeper under the HRBT and another near the kayak launch. And a keeper redfish around the HRBT tunnel rocks.
@@1stTide you can catch all the bull minnows and finger mullet you want near Fort Monroe. Just over the Mercury bridge going towards the fort there's a little sandy beach where people launch kayaks and wind surfers and paddle boards. Yesterday evening I passed by there and the amount of bait was crazy.
Awesome video, I live in Virginia Beach and I'm about to buy my first fishing kayak, any suggestions or advice would be super appreciated. What type of kayak, what size? Where do I put in to go hrbt, where for cbbt?? Thanks 👍
@@peterwheatstraw7080 Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed! I wouldn’t go shorter than a 12 foot yak. If you have the funds to get a pedal drive either Hobie or old town. I have the Outback and I absolutely love it, my wife has the salty 120 and it’s just as good if not better in rough conditions. Shoot me a message on FB and I can give you more info on yaks and launches in the area 👍🏼
Best logo for the best fisherman in the game!! 🤝🎣

@@1stTide yessir that was me. I'm new to the area and looking for some people to fish with. If you ever want to get out together - I'd be down.
