I tried the caramel pudding. As i have done the before by baking... this recipe i steamed... But i had to put some more time than 10mts on low flame as custard wasn’t firm. But it came out well... the pudding, it was cooked through...the taste all fine...caramel was there ( top & bottom) But full caramel didn’t come out from the mould ...i had greased the mould too.. What could be the reason? Is it because i cooked for a longer time or caramel was thick on the mould.. Reply whenever time permits... Thank you 🙂 Trying out your recipes ..keep going 👍
Chechy, can you also advise on the type of utensils that can be used for different types of cooking. I saw some stainless steel utensils that you used for making pasta, egg roast etc. What things should we note when we buy these kind of stainless steel utensils.

One QN on caramelizing. do we need to add water in beginning or do it after sugar turns brown? i tried plum cake receipies. And if I add it in beginning, sugar dissolves in water, and it boils until water evaporates and starts turning brown.

If the caramel layer is too thick , it will not get time to melt during cooking. So pour thin layer of caramel.
