It amazes me how horses react to the commands to move, run, sprint, turn etc... why does it move forward by feeling your legs move for example. It's amazing that it was ever figured out by our ancestors too. Must have been quite the discovery to be able to tame them and have them react to commands like that. Such a perfect animal and companion/tool for humans.
My all time favorite movie is " Spirit Stallion of Cimeron"😍 i still buy its cd. whenever the old one gets damage i buy a new one. i just want to keep this movie close to me. Always 🥺❣
I just recently started horse lessons and I felt so embarrassed by how much I struggled with steering lol, but looking at these comments make me feel a bit better about being so confused 😅 I've been watching your guides for a minute now and I hope it'll make learning how to ride a little easier.
My fav horse series is defo heartland i just love how it's like different disciplines and it's not just western it's also english and it's just my fav🎉
I’ve always wanted to ride a horse, my parents told me we might get an acreage soon and we’ll get horses, I’m so excited to be near horses their so beautiful!
I'm going for a ride on the 18th and I haven't moved without a lead rope and I have been watching lots of videos but this is the most useful because you told us how to so thank you My favourite program is free reign on Netflix
Thank you so much! I'm getting back into horse riding after a long break caused by injury. I'm so nervous that i've forgotten everything but your videos are helping me massively in remembering what to do. I just need to get my core back up to the game! Thank you for your wonderful explanations!
I’m going to be taking my first horseback riding lessons next week! I’m so excited but a bit nervous. I can’t wait to ride a big, beautiful horse!! Thanks for the tips, i know I’ll need them.
The explanation of the shoulder dropping and helping the horse regain balance was excellent - I never understood what it mean when my horse was falling in and my instructor was telling me to help rebalance him! Thank you!
this video is so helpful!!!! i recently started my riding journey and i havent learnt steering yet. decided to look at a yt video to learn better before my instructor teaches me so i can understand better :)
Thank you so much! I started riding lessons last Saturday and I greatly struggled with asking my horse to turn. I know I was slightly squeezing with both my legs so when I tried to apply pressure with my leg, my horse did not notice the change. Opening up with the opposite leg should help greatly! I'm looking forward to trying again.
I’m not sure what is my fovorite horse movie but here is one I like: Walk Ride Rodeo, this movie is a true story which happened in real life to someone
Your video is the BEST I’ve ever watched, ever!! Thank you for covering so much and doing it in a way that doesn’t take forever to explain. Wow! So appreciate you :)
This video helped me a lot! I wanted to refresh my memory on horseback riding in general since I want to start English riding (I used to do western)! Thanks your videos help me a lot!!
My favorite horse movie is Black Beauty. You can find it on Disney+ and it was made in 2020 based off a novel. Also I love Spirit the movie that was made a while back.
Thank you! I just started lessons yesterday and I can't wait for my next lesson. My fav movies are Black Beauty 1994 and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
This is so helpful! I have struggled for a while now with my haflinger. Whenever I asked her to turn (by pulling on a rein), she would just turn her head and drift out. I watched so many videos to try to help with this and all of them said to use leg pressure to "block her shoulder from falling out", but never explained exactly what that looked like. They just assumed that I new leg cues (which I didn't). You are the first and only person I have found that actually explained where to put your leg and how to shift your weight. I also watched your video on how to use your seat. Both videos were extremely helpful and informative! I just got back from riding her and can happily confirm that she is no longer drifting around turns! Thank you so much!!!
Awesome vidoe. The bible got me here. It said that . Humbleness is not weakness it's rather power under constrain, very much like a stallion submitting to a bit. I didn't know what a bit so I looked it up. Naturally I was curious to see how just a simple piece of metal it's able to control an animal as big as a horse so I came here to learn how a horse was steered. You just made my day.
Very informative! My daughter and I needed a quick review before we jump back in the saddle tomorrow for lessons. Thanks! We will be watching other videos of yours very soon.
Seriously ty ur such a good inspiration for showing us how to steer horses I’m so thankful I couldn’t be anymore proud 🥺💞 this really helped me I thought it was hard to control but now it’s sounds easy since I watch this video ty ty for a million times
This was so helpful thank you so much. I had took sometime off of riding and when I got back on I kinda forgot everything. I went to a lesson the other day and as I was taking the corner in the area he would wonder and cut the corners so thank you this is really helpful ❤️
I've been riding for a few years now and I have always had problems with the steering. This will help me so much when I go back to lessons. THANK YOUUUU❤❤❤
Very helpful! Thank you. I’m going horseback riding on May 7th for the first time! The riding includes a 30 minute lesson to show how to steer your horse, but I watched this video anyway a few times so I am aware before hand.
Thank you! I rode horses for about 7/8 months but there was an accident and I got scared and would panic a lot so my steering wasn't great at all. But now I'm trying to overcome the fear again and this is really helpful thank you again.
