Sad they should had at least made the brimstone fire and forget like a maverick instead of how it actually operates irl making it laser guided is a huge handicap

A A-G missile with a ARH+SAL seeker would be very interesting. If Gaijin made it as this: first you need to use the laser to designate the target, then when you turn it off after firing the brimstone it would use the ARH seeker to guide itself to the target designated.
Right now the only A-G weapon with some resemblance to a radar guidance is the Vikhr in the Su-39, which can use the kopyo-25 to guide the missiles, but it is barely usable because of, you know, Gaijin reasons.
The proper radar for the Su-39 for ground strike is the Kinzhal-S 8mm wave-length radar; but again, for Gaijin reasons, they haven't added it, despite that they probably have asked Leninetz for info into the Б004, the Su-34 PESA radar, the same company that developed the Kinzhal-S.
Even the VN-001, the Mi-8AMTSh-VN radar, probably has less info about it than the Kinzhal-S, because it is a very recent design, and still Gaijin somehow added it.
Meanwhile the Russian gets kh38mt with fnf totally balanced

Could be better but its not bad, you get hellfires for a cas that are very manouverable so you can snipe some easy kills with it

@@potatouno Oh no, it's almost as if various military doctrines developed around using aircraft to more effectively destroy ground units over the years, going from literally dropping grenades out of biplanes to now with missiles that can guide themselves in from 10-20km away. And it's almost like these weapon systems were specifically designed to counter anti air systems by being fire and forget.
You're welcome to cry more about air "ruining" ground battles, but it's a crucial part of how battles are fought. It's like saying infantry shouldn't be added because it'd change up the play style too much. Yeah, portable anti tank weapons are a thing too, designed for a specific purpose.

Seeing how good the Iron Fist APS is in War Thunder, I hope we'd see the Israeli Merkava Mk.4A with Iron Fist. Before they implemented the TrophyHV into service the IDF trialed both TrophyHV and Iron Fist. The former ended up being chosen.

Did you know the 500lbs paveways II/IV have an incredible glide ratio and can hit targets pretty reliably from low altitudes. Ive been using the a10c with 500lbs paveway II's and at 400mph i can hit a target 5,000 meters away while im only at an altitude of 200 meters. The seeker range on the paveway II is 5,000 meters, so thats the furthest you can toss them from for them to glide, but with the paveway IV you can easily drop from further away and lower altitude thanks to the gps guidance and much higher speed
Great tactic, and you are right, once Paveway II sees the laser point it becomes the ultimate glider of all time haha.
CR3 also does to any shot through the turret as it detonates the ammo and you have no blow out pannels.

The LJDAM is pretty good as long as you don’t turn on the laser designator you can drop on multiple targets. Yea the IDS isn’t the greatest though

What fearless SU 34, constantly flying in the skies, but the ally on the f 16 is a good guy, never sleeps, I also fly on the germany f4f phantom, I shoot down many of these fools, since the maverick is not the best weapon, especially with such a thermal imager, and there are only 2 of these missiles, nice "parity".

Hunter ive been watching you for awhile now, and I never understood why your mouse movement is so freaking smooth. What mouse do you have or is it just natural arm movement of settings? please let me know and thank you.
It is not about the mouse, I just play low sensitivity in WT common controls, sensitivity in zoom is 3%. My mouse is G502x anyway, and I got it recently for one specific reason, the hyper fast wheel, for gradual zoom of helicopters ATGM sight and TGP of top tier jets.

Brimstone should’ve been implemented like a TV guided missile and should be much faster, even if they kept it how it is now but really fast it would be good.
In War Thunder I would vote for adding a realistic unbalanced weapon against adding an unrealistic balanced missile, realism matters and it is what made me play WT. I care about balance but just slightly to be honest. For example if they nerfed Pantsir S1 from 20km to 14km I will disagree.
Giving fictional modes\features to weapons or vehicles just to make mains of this or that nation feel happier is something I totally disagree with.
Speaking of APS, what do you think about giving more MBTs their APS? for example M1A2 can be outfitted with Trophy from the Merkava, the M3A3 Bradley can get Iron Fist and T-90M can get Arena, which I don't believe is on any vehicle in game yet
I'm biased to M1A2 Abrams, I love this tank and I would be happy if it gets an APS system, specially with how powerful CAS is nowadays.
They should just add the missles with arh and give them IR seekers, or a self lasing function so that it wouldnt break the game as you can still fire and forget but smokes will still break lock

I'm studying this video like a guide on how to fight Pantsirs in a Tornado. How often would you say this playstyle is successful?
Fly fast and perpendicularly relative to enemy radar usually works, and when it doesn't I know that I did something wrong, it is either I wasn't fast enough or I wasn't at the right angle.
Its weird seeing paveways glide properly, if only they'd fix the earlier variants so they can do it like they should too. They wouldnt be gliding as far as the IV's but they shouldnt be limited to within the CCIP circle either.
We need better air spawns. Spawning within pantsir's range is mental atm. At the bare minimum we should have 20km or more with a greater spawn zone range so we don't spawn in the same place every single time.
How do you deal with the Pantsir so well? I’ve always had trouble and it’s hard to even get experience against them.

I would love to see that my friend, I enjoy the battle between aircraft and SPAA more than anything in the game, in fact I would be much happier if Gaijin added IRIS-T 40km max range, and Pantsir S2 instead of Fox 3 spam in Ground RB and Ground SB.
The aps on the black night works against apdsfs rounds? I have the merkava4m and its aps only seems to help against missiles.
the Iron Fist specifically can detect threats up to 1650 m/s, given a long enough map it can intercept APFSDS rounds whilst the Merkava4M uses the Trophy System which can only detect threats up to 1000m/s meaning it wont intercept APFSDS rounds

Night battles are optional in Ground RB, you must "check" them in order to get them even if they were rare in the match making (the crescent moon icon next to like\dislike map voting).
I re-enabled them recently because Gaijin finally disabled the illumination flares and gave green NV to stock tanks.

A shame the brimstone don't have its SAL+ARH guidance. Using the Vikhr with the kopyo-25 is pretty fun -- when it works reliable, which is somewhat rare.

You give up protection (no spall liner, ready rack that can be sniped via gun mantlet,...) for a little to no benefit. I didnt felt like DM53s are really big improvement over L27.... Soooo If i want the old but Better chally i use BN.If i want something faster I use 2E. I switched my CR3 for a Desert Warrior in my lineup

Nope. They buffed the hard max range to 27km. But like all things, the aerodynamic range is based on both your launch speed and your altitude. Down low, you can get probably ~12km out of them reliably. But if you're up high, you can squeeze 20km+ out of em'. Mavs have the same feature. Most folks can get 8-10km out of them on the deck, but if you have altitude, they'll go to 20km+

With how Su-34 is ruining top tier games lately, I'll just quit the match and take the crew lock when I'm fighting against Russia. Thank God I grinded US, GER, UK, USSR, SWE and CN top tier, I can just quit the match and wait for my crew lock to be over by playing the other nations.
I'm tired of being the only one tanking the game, while the whole team gets obliterated.
Though removing 12.7 jets out of my line up enables me to have down tiers, but what’s the fun in that? Lol
