That was one of the first pieces of literature I learned, before that I had only ever played hymns. It's such a beautiful chorale arrangement and played with a cymbal star, wonderful!
I recall vividly at my father's church our brilliant organist Dennis Keane would play this exquisite piece as a prelude to the Christmas Eve Eucharist service.. The zimbelstern and carillon were magical and the piece set the perfect mood for the service.

Thanks. Imagine this was attributed to JSB for years, unbelievable. The piece isn't that special compared to many much better organ works bij JM Bach. But even in the baroque period they liked an uncomplicated Christmas piece, I guess ;-)
