    I'll never get sick of listening to you Nick and trying my very hardest to get it. But even when I don't i can't help but feel there is the element of truth about to jump out at me.

    Recently discovered your videos John, watched quite a few but decided to start from the beginning. I'm loving Nick too, need to start looking out for his stuff, I can totally see where he's coming from sometimes, fascinating character.

    I think I’m gonna take this walk 14 years on - would you still recommend John?
    Your channel is a time machine, love it..

      Yes Lorenzo it’s still a classic walk - you might even bump into Nick if you’re lucky

    Wow I never knew your videos go that far back, I 'only' just subbed about 18 months ago!
    Where is the location here please? Is it near Gladstone Park NW10/NW2 area?

    • @JohnRogersWalks
      @JohnRogersWalks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes this is one of my first uploads. Geographically it's that neck of the woods - from memory the first part of this video is around Child's Hill - we started at Golders Green

    Don't you use small household objects to store your ideas in then? Instead of sending cleaned out bottles and jars to the re-cycle bin you can use them for storing moods in. Obviously, large cities are excellent sites for keeping time slices in. See the works of Peter Ackroyd and Iain Sinclair for further details.

    Oh absolutely. I favour those old Kilner jars from the 1950s myself.

    Bapyou - don't worry Nick and I had a good laugh about about - found it wonderfully sardonic. Thanks for your comments - much appreciated

  • @bapyou
    @bapyou 17 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    What the bloody hell is he going on about? Storage vats of regional memory? Ghosts of Ray Davies? Bloody academics.

    oh well, that's the way it goes with these sites.... and I don't think I can reconstruct the comment from memory right now.... I just have the memory of leaving it....

    My apologies for comment I left here last year. It was meant to be humorous. Although what the gentleman talks about is still somewhat incomperehensible to me, it is an interesting talk nonetheless.

      In terms of DNA being a base, I suppose there is no difference. My worry is that DT and PG have ossified into mild leftism and small c conservatism. These guys used to rail at old rails. They need to explode again.
