Harry and Mitch write together all the time . Harry’s music is very diverse …it lends a lot to his 70’s influences. Also a little disco sound on his new album . He is MAJOR right now . Not only is he a great singer he is an incredible human being .

Glad I'm not the only one old enough to remember when the original song came out 😉 Harry's a very humble guy. He likes to say “It's Sarah Jones' band and I'm just the singer."

Sarah (drummer/vocals) and Mitch (guitarist) have both been in the band from the beginning and still are! They are also married and had a baby about a year ago :) Ny Oh (keys/guitar/vocals) is the one with the blonde hair, you are correct that she was new here and she is still currently with the band! Adam (bass) and Charlotte (keys/vocals) are both no longer in the band. The new members that are currently on tour with him since 2021 are Elin (bass), Pauli (percussion/MD) and Yaffra (keys). His band is incredible, as is he, and i hope this helps a bit! Loving these Harry reactions and would love to see more!
I recommend watching a performance of his song Kiwi! Either live on the late late show or his 2019 LA tour where he performs it 3 times in a row!
This was the first thing I ever heard from Harry. Clicked it during lockdown. I’m 53 and became an instant fan! What a stellar band!
Sarah and Mitch were there from the beginning, Nyoh (mullet gorge hun) came along at Fine Line - they are the constants…and he has a new bassist (woman), additional rad percussion and HORNS!
Their cover of The Chain is awesome. Harry’s House is different than the other two. I think he’s finding his avenue. I really like all versions of Harry. Seeing him live is a whole new experience. He’s like on night 13 at Madison Square of sold out shows and I’m sure you can find them on YT. I’m in my 50’s and have seen many of concerts, all genres and never have I felt the atmosphere like I did at a Harry show. I’ve seen him each tour he did.

Oh Do Harry's cover of Ultra Light Beam by I think Kanye West. So good.
So he writes with a small group of songwriter friends, including Mitch and Sarah on some songs. The band comes up with live versions together and the same band performs at all his shows. You should check out "Harry Styles Behind the Album" gives a good look into how he made the first album. It's an intimate setup
I clicked randomly on the daylight analysis you guys did- heard one of you mention inuvik in the begining of the video, (I'm originally from nunavut- close-ish) that in itself struck my curiosity on top of wondering what you'd think of harry styles music, and I kept watching since. I've been hooked because you both bring a nonbiased opinion- but yet still seem to be truthful. I've watched a few videos in a row and I've seen both of you open up a little bit each video- where in the first videos I watched maybe there was a little hesitation, understandably, (if that's not what you're used to listening to especially) but I really want to give kudos to both of you for continuing to give it a shot, and sharing thought out responses, because this music can be fun if you you give it a try.

Yes there have been a few band member changes. They toured together a couple years then the other keyboardist (Charlotte) left. The woman in the red is Ny Oh, and is currently with the band, she basically took over for Charlotte. The bassist, Adam Pendergast left to be with his family (had little kids and was missing them growing up). Now they have a female bassist, Elin. And they added some percussion and keys guys. Sarah and Mitch have been with Harry the whole time. You'll see the other members eventually I'm sure. Actually, Peter Gabriel did see this performance and retweeted it with a quote on Twitter. Yes Harry has other rock songs in his catalog.
Harry said in this same interview on Stern that it was actually Sara’s band, he was just the front man 😂
Yes Nyoh (mullet girl) was new on this video!. And Mitch and Sarah are still in the band. For the current tour for Harry's House he has a new keyboard (Yaffra) and bassist(Elin). Plus a new musical director which is also the percussionist (Pauli ThePSM) !! The band has evolved too and live they are fantastic! You should listen to all of his discography and how he has evolved over the 3 albums. Harry's House is fabulous! Great reactions! I will check out the patreon!

Mitch Rowland writes on his albums too and has been with him since like the end of 1d. In this same Stern interview, he credits Sarah Jones as being the real star. Ny Oh (blonde) is still in the band too. But Elin Sandberg (bass guitar/vocalist)and Pauli Lovejoy joined his tour in 2021. And added 5 new members this year. He has a new keyboardist and a horns section that come out.
His new album is heavily influenced by ‘80’s sound but still a mix. Carolina and Only Angel from first are more rockish but he plays with all kinds of sounds. First album is also heavy on ballads. Fine Line is probably considered pop but not just really the regular radio play sound. Falling live at the BBC is absolutely gorgeous, so is his cover of the country song Girl Crush at BBC.
To answer your question about the band, only three members of the band from this video are still in his band, he has three other new members with him now too.

One of my favorites off of HH. I honestly didn't like it the first couple of listens. Now it is one I play on repeat, as well as Daylight.
Harrys says he gets so many comments, "Ya great show but your drummer she is amazing." So he says it is really Sarah's band.

There have been some changes in the band but he does try to keep it consistent.
*The initial band was:*
Clare Uchima (musical director, keys, vocals): 2017-2018. We don't have details on why she left the band, but everything points to her being let go by Harry after she made some unsavory remarks about fans who were calling her out for publicly attacking someone who was accusing a friend of hers of r@pe. She was condescending to the girls, talking down to them, etc. This happened shortly after Harry's first solo tour ended in July 2018. He didn't perform with his band between July 2018 and October 2019, and when he came back, she was gone. She was replaced with two new girls, I'll get to that in a minute.
Sarah Jones (drums, vocals): 2017-now. She used to be in Hot Chip, she's incredibly talented. She has lend her vocals to some of the studio versions of the songs and overall she and Harry are friends. She's married to Harry's guitarist, Mitch, who is his best friend.
Mitch Rowland (guitar, vocals): 2017-now. He was working at a pizza shop before meeting Harry and had never set foot in a professional studio. He was originally a drummer, though he can also play guitar very proficiently. He writes music with Harry and often plays instruments in his albums as well (mostly drums and guitar). He and Harry are BFFs now, though they met by chance in 2016, when one of the technicians that worked in the studio Harry recorded his first album in suggested Mitch when the guitarist they had originally hired failed to show up. He met Sarah by working with Harry. They're now married and have a child together.
Adam Prendergast (bass, vocals): 2017-2020. He and Harry met back in 2011 because they have a lot of friends in common (back then Harry was 17 and Adam was already a grown man lol). Harry replaced him (alongside another band member, I'll get to that in a second) when he decided to revamp his live sound during the pandemic. Adam, despite having been friends with Harry for a decade, didn't take it well, shaded him on social media and all that. Nobody really cared because while Adam was good, the band sounds way better now than it did back then. Plus the new bassist kicks ass.
*After Clare left, she was replaced with:*
Naomi "NyOh" Ludlow (keys, guitar, theremin, percussion, whatever Harry needs, and vocals): 2019-now. A lot of fans have issues with her because she's "problematic" (said some problematic stuff back in 2012, then apologized, but she's not traditionally pretty so they refuse to let it go), but Harry seems to adore her, plus she's incredibly talented. She can play so many instruments and her vocals are insanely good.
Charlotte Clark (keys, vocals): less than 6 months between late 2019 and early 2020. Very pretty voice and all but overall she was a little boring. She was let go alongside Adam when Harry revamped his live sound. She also didn't take it well, even though she'd already said she wanted to pursue her solo music. Entitlement is one hell of a drug. Nobody misses her.

The first quartet I mentioned was the bands you saw in old videos. Sarah, Mitch, Adam, NyOh, and Charlotte form the band you see in this one, but there are some changes upcoming.

*After COVID*
Pauli LoveJoy (musical director, percussion). 2021-now. Pauli was hired during the pandemic, when Harry decided to embrace the funk. He uses he/they pronouns and is queer. Pauli is amazing. Harry always sounded good live, but since Pauli joined... my god, the band was just elevated. He joined (alongside a new bassist and key player, I'll get to them) and Charlotte and Adam were let go.
Elin Sandberg (bass, vocals). 2021-now. Elin is the new bassist, she's from Sweden and she's amazing. Not much to note. She, alongside Pauli and the new keyboard player, joined for the first leg of Love On Tour, which started in September 2021.
Niji Adeleye (keys). 2021. His stint in the band was brief, but he was really well liked, and it all points out to him leaving on really good terms, simply because he had other work commitments and couldn't afford to travel as often and as much as Harry's band does it.
This iteration of the band only lasted for the first leg of Love On Tour (September-November 2021).
*2022*
Yaffra (keys). 2022. He joined the band in the spring of 2022 when Harry's new era started (Harry's House, the following legs of Love On Tour). Niji never performed with the band on any TV performances or festivals, Yaffra has been on that role since then. He's very low key so we don't know much about him.
Brass section. 2022. I believe thus far, we've only identified one member of this tiny band that joins Harry every night on tour for "the disco medley" (a string of songs that transition one into another). It sounds freaking incredible live, though.
So, he keeps the core of his band, and he's very careful to thank everyone and credit everyone. There have been other members that have popped up very briefly, Dev Hynes joined him during the Grammys 2021, he had a horn section on a few selected performances, and there are stand-ins for the main members of the band in case of COVID.
In terms of his writing team. Harry does 90% of the lyrics and most of the melodies, but he does bounce ideas off other people, particularly his producers.
His first album was written on a writing camp in Jamaica, which is why most songs have 6 writers on them, but they're the same 6 writers over and over. (Jeff Bhasker, aka Kanye West's mythical producer, Tyler Johnson, Mitch Rowland, Ryan Nasci, Alex Salibian, Harry Styles. There's a song written by Harry and his longtime friend, who's also a producer, called Kid Harpoon, plus a song that has 1D's old writing team in the credits because he wrote it in 2014 and saved it). From the main team, Jeff and Tyler were producers, Mitch mostly wrote music. Ryan and Alex got participation credits (they were present when the songs were written because they were either playing instruments, Alex, or doing engineering, Ryan).
His last two albums, though, have had a very tight knit group of writers. Tyler Johnson came back to produce, as did Harry's longtime friend Kid Harpoon (Kid had done producing for Florence + The Machine and other British bands but nothing too mainstream till then). These two guys did 90% of the producing in Harry's second and third albums and were given writing credits in all the songs they produced. The three of them did overall most of the writing in Fine Line and Harry's House (Harry has majority writing credits on ALL his music).
Some songs have additional credits by Mitch Rowland, but he's only on a handful of tracks. Jeff Bhasker and Ilsey Juber contributed to TPWK (from Fine Line) Sammy Witte (an engineer who worked with Harry in all three records) has producing/writing credit on one song in each of the last two albums, Amy Allen wrote a song for each album, Greg Kurstin has producing (and subsequent writing) credit in Sunflower Vol. 6 (also from Fine Line).
Overall, it seems like he found his group of people and that, while he was always the main writer and driving force behind his music, he's been taking the reins more and more with each passing album. He's been doing production on his albums since the first one but he refuses to take credit for it for some reason.
"Does he still do rock" yes. A lot of people with a narrow definition of rock music would tell you he doesn't, but you guys know that rock is more than what you stereotypically think of, and yes, he does several types of rock. There's a lot of funk, indie, 70s rock, but rock nonetheless. Some songs sound like Vampire Weekend or if The Strokes had a pop singer. There's pop elements for sure, he's a lover of pop and is unapologetic about it, but I really think you'll like his follow up albums!

The blonde girl (Nyoh) and the red-haired girl (Charlotte) replaced the girl who was there before (Clare), Charlotte left and Ny stayed, now the band grew. The truth are great!

His latest album (3rd one) is the most pop record. Idk what his next album is gonna sound like because he always love his new album to be different. The first one is basically a rock record btw. There are a few good live concert videos out there. One on James Corden (I know you don't like him lol) th-cam.com/video/63m-pQRv_2w/w-d-xo.html Then there is one when he did it 3 times in a row for the very last show of his tour th-cam.com/video/ZdmFdkTJBX8/w-d-xo.html (he's a beast) And then there was when he headlined Coachella this year. It was posted by Coachella from the live stream, great sound and video. They had it up for a couple months then took it down. I'm hoping Harry puts it on his YT acct. Coachella keeps the whole 80 min set up for 24 hrs then deletes it. Luckily we have great fans that downloaded the whole thing and had a link for us to dl it too, so I have the whole thing, thank God. He had a surprise guest come out, Shania Twain and did 2 songs. They had a video of one of the songs up for a couple months and then took that down too... grr. So I'm hoping he posts that on his acct.
Have you tried to put a filter over the video that blurs it or really large letters saying covered for copyright ( we've all seen the video, so it doesn't matter to us) that might help fight the block.
