I just love this performance because you can see how harry and niall are losing their mind over performing next to Ronnie Wood, also Louis knew Harry loved the guy and switched places with him in the middle of the song, nice detail that goes almost unnoticed :)
LMAO I promise you Louis didn't do anything that wasn't painstakingly choreographed. The camera, sound, and light guys all had to do about the switch up. That was done to get Harry next to Ronnie Wood, because Harry was the most popular one. It had nothing to do with Louis knowing Harry liked him lmao

Yeah Zayn was always way more into RnB type music rather than the pop-rock direction One Direction leaned towards, so I think that limited creative freedom + his struggles with anxiety are what mainly led to him leaving. Especially since One Direction toured for 5 straight years with really no breaks in between, which is why their albums were recorded a lot in hotel rooms (because they would sell out a tour before the new album was even made). Just a lot for anyone.
I remember I bought my ticket to their final tour before Zayn left and being heartbroken but so happy when the other 4 continued to show up for fans and finished out the tour and even more happy when despite the heartbreak of them announcing stopping for a while them dropping their best album as a last goodbye

zayn wanted to leave from the first year but after years of trying to make it work, he broke and for his mental well being he left and went solo, his music now is r&b mainly

I really believe that besides Zayn, Harry was the only other one who eventually wanted to go put on his own. The others would have loved to stay together. Louis was lost for awhile after the band broke up. I get it that they would want their own careers, but their harmonies together were amazing!
I thought Liam realized he was in danger too and was glad they stopped.
@@TashameeD I think at the time he was needing a break, yes, but I don't think realized it would be, or wanted something this long. He has probably suffered the most from the break up.

Yeah zayn leans towards r&b genre which you can see in his solo stuff( which is amazing). And he looks uncomfortable bcuz he was suffering with anorexia and also dealing with anxiety at this point. This is also the reason he still doesn't perform his solo songs live. And he was the best vocalist among the group. And I don't think popularity had anything to do with him pulling away from the group. Bcuz zayn and harry were the more popular ones in 1d and are even today in their solo careers. It was more due to the bizarre lifestyle and the lack of creative freedom and resting breaks which led him to leaving the band
I love how Louis moved over and let Harry perform next to Ronnie cause he knew how much it meant to Harry to be next to one of his idols. Louis is one of the nicest humans ever.
I always thought it was because the camera was focused on the middle part of the stage and he was gonna sing, so it was the most convenient for everyone. It was nice, but i'm sure they talked about it before-hand
The X Factor performance was Dec 2014, Zayn started 1D last tour in 2015, done Ist leg Australia leg, started 2nd leg- Asia leg mid way through after performing in Thailand, pictured with some females. hit UK newspapers, return home to see his girlfriend, some days later a statement Zayn quit 1D. Nathan insight of Zayn's voice, his solo stuff leans more towards R & B. Dont think Zayn's music would appeal to both of you, only song maybe Sour Diesel a Funk Rock song with a guitar solo
Zayn did leave because what they did in 1D wasn't his thing at all. He said i was the health issues and too much of fame preassure but then released new music just few months after he left and it was very different to what 1D did. I'm not much of a fan of it but I can''t deny the fact he's an amazing vocalist. He doesn't perform live though, stopped giving shows due o severe anxiety attacks.
When he said he never had any say creatively while in the band, fans took it as if their label/managemen whatever was the reason for that but I really think it was creative differences within the band. Like I previously said, Louis and Liam are the most common co-writers on 1D discography. Harry and Niall are less involved and Zayn was almost never credited except for those songs where all group is credited.

Zayn and Harry were both the most popular with 1D fans. You can't base the crowd reaction to them based on one isolated performance.
Zayn due to his ethnic background attracted fans from South America, South Asia, Africa and the Middle East as well as Europe North and South America and Australia.
Zayn also had crowds screaming his name.
Zayn left due to a lack of creative output, fatigue, and racism and islamophobia he faced by some so called 1D fans and others due to his South Asian heritage.
He was
the best vocalist hands down in 1D and many of their songs wouldn't sound the same without him.
You need to listen to some of his brilliant back catalogue of songs Pillowtalk, Dusk Till Dawn, Flames and Sour Disel for starters.
His voice is so versatile he can straddle many different genre's of music, rock, pop, rnb, reggae, soul. That's so inlike most other artists who can only perform one style of music.
Zayn was nowhere near as popular as Harry tho. Harry was at least twice as popular as the rest of the group combined.

favor. You are also exaggerating his global popularity because his last album 'Nobody's Listening'
didn't break the Top 10 anywhere in the world and barely sold 15k units. Additionally his 2nd
album 'Icarus Falls' sold 15k units and it only hit #61 on the Billboard Hot 200 and then completely
dropped off the chart, he did briefly hit at #1 on the worldwide chart but it too quickly dropped off.
On social media Zayn has 30M Twitter followers & 47M followers on Instagram and Harry has 38M
followers on Twitter & he also has 47M followers on Instagram. Zayn is more active on social
media than Harry but only by a small margin. All of this to say Zayn is very talented and has an
amazing voice even though his music is not to my taste but that's okay because I'm guessing
Harry's music is not your taste. You are obviously a very dedicated fan but attacking everyone
who doesn't share your enthusiasm is only going to alienate them. I'm almost sure you are going
to have something to say to me but I'm a big girl I can handle it.

He is the only artist with 3 songs with over a dozen views including arguably his biggest hit that has never sang any of them live.
He also has never performed any songs from Icarus Falls or NIL live and didn't promote either.
You are comparing him to an artist and other artists who tour all the time, do promote their music all the time, do live performances all the time.
That's like comparing apples to bricks.
My issue is not to do with has sales as he doesn't promote or perform his music as I have mentioned due to the racism and islamophobia he suffered from which led to his eating disorder and anxiety.
For you a white person to trivialise racism and islamophobia shows your true character. Being called a terrorist is not small matter.
My issue was with the negative stereotyping of his stage persona as cold which infurs he is other, without knowing his background and the hate received as the only brown member of 1D.
If he is strong enough mentally to tour, or perform live again or promote his music then you can compare him to other artists.
He barely used social media apart from a few selfies now and then and hasn't used twitter for months.
You bringing up sales is not the flex you think it is when Zayn is not someone who chases that stuff as he just stays on his farm.
Dispite that he is immensely popular globally, and if he announced a tour it would sell out in seconds.
I'm more concerned about the discrimination black and brown artists in the industry face something that privilege white artists will never experience

The crowd is screaming for Rooney not for Harry. During one direction era, fans screamed for Naill and went silent for Louis.. And also, there were lot of kids because it was Xfactor finale and contestants families were there to support them not 1D and one direction is created there in this very stadium, bootcamp and live shows. Lot of memories for boys too..

Not in the UK, Louis and Niall are a lot more popular than Zayn, if you want to do well here you have to tour your albums, we prefer Live.

Yes the only thing they have over Zayn is that they have both toured, however due to the social anxiety Zayn suffers from caused by the racism and islamophobia and mental fatigue he went through during 1D he has never toured, performed live in over 6 years and barely promotes his music yet is still second to Harry in terms of sales, streams and success. Louis dispite coming off a tour has not been successful in terms of his album Walls which still has not hit 1 billion streams nearly 3 years after release. Like I said his new song has been a commercial flop as it hasn't charted anywhere

The rest of them have all sang 1D songs during their live solo tours and performances since 1D disbanded but they never received the type of reaction to singing a former 1D song then Zayn singing it caused.
