You would get paid to do verses but you dont get songwriting publishing since they bought it from you (a couple of guys familiar with how they operated spoke at a local music get together we had) so the only way you made money is by doing shows. That's why Fly fell out with them because he learned the game from Chill Bill as far as owning your publishing (which he has always done)

You can tell it still it hurts him. Frayser Boy truly overachieved with Hypnotized Minds. I remember when he used to just be on those random funny skits on Project Pat and Three Six Mafia albums. He was to Three Six kind of like how Waka Flocka was to Gucci early on.The dude that you always saw with them but he wasn’t really rapping. Soon as Frayser Boy had to step up he really did his thang and created his own lane. To see how it ended sucks. Like he said, he still got love for them. His loyalty is still there despite what they did and shows Frayser still a soldier. Karma is on his side. Hopefully one day all those guys will at least talk and reconcile all differences. But Three Six did this to every artist on their label and we all know the nature of the music business. Like Frayser Boy, learn the game because it’s business at the end of the day.

I’m 36, and 3 6 mafia, Frayser boy, crunchy, especially lil wyte, tye whole Memphis crowd, was what I grew up to and all I listened to. 3 6 produced the best beats and tempo to this day that nobody else has been able to top. But man, as the years went by, it’s become obvious that Paul and juicy used people more than being good to them, especially your top talent. Of course there’s always different sides to stories, but Frayser sure isn’t the only rapper that us spoke this way about juicy and Paul. Nonetheless, the 2000’s was hands down the best decade for rap, and will never be duplicated. Not just bc I was in high school-college, but the rap game especially Memphis rap,was just the most memorable
