(Need to be manually redeemed)
I think the PlayAnywhere, option let's you download the game on your PC or Laptop as well if you bought it from the Xbox store and then play it offline from anywhere, like outside your home or even maybe outside your country. PS remote play only works if you are on the same WIFI AND you are relatively close to your TV (it's kinda like Xbone is the switch version and PS4 is the WIIU version lol).
guys this is super useful ive been doing this for so long. instead of typing letters using xbox controller you can connect to smartglass phone app and whenever you try to write something the keyboard will automatically pop up on your smart glass phone app and you can type it just like you are texting and saves so much time do this guys
the small feature i stumbled upon is when you get a text and want to reply but don't want to type i out, look at the new option lower left near space bar in the text window. if you hit the "back" button in this text window it'll initiate the voice to text feature which is normally started via "hey cortana" voice command. oh and it works for standard headsets it is fairly accurate for basic replies and i love it for much more speeder text replying

I don't see why not but the game would probably run slower. Why not free up space on your regular hard drive by moving all your less used media over to the external. Some external Hard drives won't work when plugged into an xbox though. They are just meant for PC.
