    I own a 2024 Crosstrek Limited in Magnetite grey. I drove Honda, Toyota and Mazda and IMO the Crosstrek won in all categories. Great technology and amazing sound system. Awesome vehicle so far!

      @@marshallosantos9035Subaru CVT transmissions have been very reliable recently, additionally any car can be reliable as long as you maintain them well, the reason Toyota and Honda are up there in reliability is the ability to still turn on the car after neglect and really low maintenance

    I've had the '24 Limited in Sun Blaze Pearl for about a month now. Absolutely love it. Coming from a manual car, I can't be happier with this car. CVT is super responsive and the drive is smooth

    Luv it. PS - just a little detail i noticed: they should have the little light in the cargo area come on automatically. Unless it's a three way switch and i missed it.

    currently saving up for a new crosstrek premium. my 2009 corolla has 300,000 miles on it and the amount of oil it burns is unreal haha. i was split between an outback and a forester initially, but the new crosstrek has definitely swayed me. hopefully it'll last just as long as my toyota has!

    That dead switch in the console is for the Japanese and European versions for surround camera viewing and also the USA version is missing the memory seat settings that is integrated into the drivers door giving you 2 memory settings.

  • @Zanderthelab

    For a limited there should also be ventilated seats and a power lift gate and it doesn’t have either! Oh and it doesn’t have hvac in the rear!

    • @stevebailey7633
      @stevebailey7633 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This has been a problem with the upper levels of Impreza, which is essentially what a Crosstrek is, they do not offer the same trim features of an Outback. Impreza is marketed to folks wanting smaller and cheaper, and Subaru doesn’t add features that competitors offer.

    • @Zanderthelab
      @Zanderthelab 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@stevebailey7633 I can get over the ventilated seats and the power lift gate. But you need to have rear hvac. The ford escape had it from the beginning. It’s just unacceptable. In addition, from my experience you suffer back there without the rear hvac.

    • @fansgalorellc621
      @fansgalorellc621 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. I have a 2019 Limited and I wish mine had the ventilated seats and power liftgate. I ended up grabbing an aftermarket fan cooling seat cushion from amazon and that made the drive better in the summer. It’s not perfect, but where I live ventilated seats are a must. Also too, throw in a heated steering wheel too.

    • @Zanderthelab
      @Zanderthelab 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@fansgalorellc621 I agree with all of this. Top trim should have heated and cooled seats and a heated steering wheel. Also, the legacy has heated rear seats even!! Not cool!

    Subaru makes good stuff. Comfortable, reliable, nice enough. I like the Crosstrek, it looks adventure-y. I sometimes see lifted ones with roof baskets and all-terrain tires. As a Subaru owner I don't use the climate controls on the touchscreen except to turn it on and off. I set it to auto when I got the car and use the temperature and defrost buttons as needed. $35k with the Subaru VIP coupon can get you a bigger and nicer Outback or Forester though. It's less overpriced and better quality than a Jeep Compass or Cherokee.

    Great all-round rugged Subaru goodness! I love the new color, it's not as Glaringly Orange as some new Toyota colors but my personal favourite on the Crosstrek is the classic Horizon Blue Pearl. Several paint variations on the 2024 Limited get yellow accents which look nice on black/dark blue!
    Bummed that they stopped offering manual, though.

    Looks amazing. Do the rear seats fold level with the cargo area (or is there small a jump up)? When the hatch is up, does it offer sun/rain protection while your standing at the back (always find myself drawn to more squared off SUVs for that).

    my family has every generation of crosstrek, very disappointed that they dropped the manual option which for me was a big selling point - manual with AWD in a practical car. I appreciate that they have made a car with more mainstream appeal but it is still sad to see the loss of some subaru quirks

    • @richardepstein3494

    • @ERIN_GUNN
      @ERIN_GUNN ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it's too bad, but no one bought them. It's not worth it to continue. Instead, you can get manual paddle shifters not exactly the same, but it's there.

    • @syedmustafa3145
      @syedmustafa3145 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ERIN_GUNN @richardepstein3494 interestingly talking to the dealer he was telling me that the demand for manuals is actually significantly higher than the sell rate, but Subaru won't manufacture as much and send them to dealers as CVTs are more economical and profitable and Subaru needs to reach company wide emissions goals.
      it also sucks because with the same engine and transmission they have used for years I don't think it would have been that difficult to include a manual option for 2024, but this is another victim to increasing emissions targets.

    • @Das_Germaican
      @Das_Germaican ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Manual doesn’t work with the eye-sight tech and that’s apparently why they dropped it. I’ve heard they’re working on it though.

    lt depends what you mean about night and day. I've owned both, and drive up the same grade a number of times on the way to my dad's house and it splits into two lanes for the opportunity to pass for about a half mile. With the 2.5 you can, whereas with the 2.0 it somehow just does NOTHING if you put your foot down on an incline. So to me it's night and day. If night and day is the 2.0 vs. the new Koenigsegg.... well... lol

    Just bought a 2024 Sapphire Blue Crosstrek in the limited trim. My first Subaru and I love the car, but the interior quality could be better. I'm used to driving upper-trim Mazda's, and Subaru has a long way to go interior-wise. In spite of that, I still love the Crosstrek. It's a comfortable driver that doesn't have a stiff ride, meaning you could go on long trips with it. All in all I'm very happy with mine. The Crosstrek could use a power lift gate in the higher trims though.
