B, you are by far the most knowledgeable person I have ever seen dealing with these boats! I learn so damn much from every video of yours I watch. Keep up the good work! Love ya brother! Keep it Ironclad!!

Great video B, excellent knowledge being shared as always. Inadvertently I had used a light to illuminate the hull of the Veles and had seen several thin spots where more light had shown through. I will now be gathering supplies to “ironclad” my hull. Thanks man , this is why you are becoming the go to channel for all thing rc boat related. #boatgang

Just keep her light only do places that you think needs it and no more. The hull is thick & STRONG really only the seems up front need it .

Really Not wanting to deal with shipping Just a pia. I may just go w upgrading it now. Throw it up please. Ironclad driveshaft.

Great work on that hull Big B, making her IRONCLAD for sure. 👍
I did exactly the same with my UL-19 hull after a collision with a buoy left the front slightly cracked and delaminated. Has to be done! As you say, these boats move at high speed so anything that adds strength with low weight gain HAS to be worth doing.
Thanks for sharing another really informative video bro 👍 👏

Big B... that tip about the alcohol on the end of the wooden stick not allowing the epoxy and fiberglass to stick while packing it in only comes with years of experience that's what's great about your Channel Big B. Thank you my friend. Have a great day and enjoy your weekend.

Even if we don’t have the same boat you’re working on, the same methods can be applied to many others. That goes for just about all of your vids, man. Valuable info! I’ll be applying this method to the Zonda 😄👍 ..love how buttery smooth the fibers laid down in the sponsons, just like when you reinforced the DF mini sniper.

Glad I could help brother. Better to be safe than sorry. Catch the problem before it begins.
Fiberglass chopped strand is strong stuff when used with epoxy.

Great video B!! I’ve been repairing some damage to my ProBoat Zelos 36” Miss Gieco that hit a turtle at 70+ mph last weekend! Used Bondo Short Strand Fiberglass Filler (which is awesome btw) to rebuild the end of the sponson ride pad! Then a nice layer of epoxy to seal, and smooth it out after fine sanding!! Will test this weekend to make sure it’s sweet, and paint next week! Wish I could post some pics here!! It came out great!! Awesome info brother, and keep up the great work!!

Hi, Chopped strand glass is used with polyester resin not epoxy resin, epoxy does not dissolve the binding agent this will make it very difficult to get the glass to comply woven glass is the one to use plain or satin weaver thanks for the video

Thanks, I've had no issues with the adhesion using epoxy, makes sense though. Thank you

Love the videos! I just bought a veles 29 and it doesn’t sit flat on a table, it rocks side to side. Haven’t run it yet and was wondering how much this will affect the ride. Any thoughts?

What about the battery trays? You mentioned earlier about removing them so as to get the batteries lower in the hull. It appears they are just glued (epoxy) into the hull. This would be the ideal time to do that.

Nice job B, I literally just did this exact thing yesterday to my 24" F1 tunnel haul. Just a bit reinforcing with some chop strand mat along the seems. Ya, once you get them going fast you start worrying about haul strength.😀

Is this a problem with this boat delaminating at the seems.

    • @IRONCLADRC

No I wrecked/flipped the boat doing a high speed run at around 78mph. It only happens at extremely high speed

@@IRONCLADRC that’s fast ,if it was plastic it probably won’t have cracked open,it’s either the velos 29 or Sonicwake 36 ,being in 🇨🇦 the prices are over 500.00 bucks,
