    Regarding the Photoshop Save as/ Save a copy change: In edit/ preferences/file handling, there is a checkbox where you can switch it back to the old “save as” 👌🏻

      Done and done! Thanks for pointing that out

    Nice! I usually also add a subtle sharpen filter to my renders to give them a bit more visual depth and detail. Never used the exr format (yet). Thanks for the tip!

      For some reason, every time I do sharpen - it looks a bit more... rendered. Perhaps naturally we see things with a slight blur - or maybe I just need glasses and don't realize it :D

    for me, there is something natural or realistic to these blown out areas, especially on white surfaces.
    it seems like in real life eyes can hardy adjust to these spots so it comes natural to represent it like that in the renders and not making it dull.
    although its hard to find the right amount.
    btw thanks a lot for your work, looking forward to your next videos.

      It's definitely true - blown out light gives more depth for sure, but I'd argue is that it's better to start balancing brightness/contrast from an image that has the most possible detail and then blow out the highlights if you wish to do so

    What is that browser folder dialog from @0.52? Is that a custom python program?

    What if I use Krita? I don't have the prompt that shows the import openEXR as an alpha channel. It loads it as a transparent image. Any Ideas?

      Sorry, I don't use Krita, so no idea

      @@DesignGoBrr Hey it's okay. It seems that some EXRs work and other don't. I was compositing somethign on Unreal engine, but for some reason Krita wasn't able to read it. Lucky, I searched for free EXR converters and found a software called "Luminance HDR 2.6.0" and resaved it to another EXR which worked fine.
      Long live my zero budget architecture programs list:D

    in exr many blending modes disappear, so how to use the missing blending modes?

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm that's strange. For me all blending modes are still available both in Photoshop as well as After Effects. Could you tell me the version that you're using so that I could try replicating the issue?

      I'm using ps version 2021, many blending modes can't be used, and cameraRawFIltr also can't be used when using exr

      you may need to switch the image from 32 bit color to 16.
