I like how they took into account how hakai can’t destroy immortal beings but since Fused Zamasu is half mortal, it still worked, that’s why it took longer for the Hakai to completely destroy Fused Zamasu and why he almost was able to kill Goku in those final moments.

And Hakai was stated to not being able to erase someone who's immortal so it doesn't make any sense if Goku with his own version of Hakai (it's not even an actual destruction energy) somewhat successfully erased Zamasu with that. And like what i've said, Zamasu's immortality was fueled by the power of the Super Dragon Balls itself, there's no way Goku overpowering that wish. And not to mention, Zamasu's immortality played as a curse when he came back and fused with the every fabric of the universe itself since his PHYSICAL BODY was destroyed, he came back as a higher entity which proves that he cannot really die because HE IS FVCKIN' IMMORTAL. I much prefer this ending than what we got in the manga and show. All that nonsense with Zamasu accidentally cloning himself, and merging himself with the universe until Omni King destroyed everything was ridiculous.

Nonsense? Or you're one of those DB fans with poor comprehension? Merged Zamasu was still immortal no matter what, granted by the SUPER DRAGON BALLS itself. And Hakai was stated to not being able to erase someone who's immortal so it doesn't make any sense if Goku with his own version of Hakai (it's not even an actual destruction energy) somewhat successfully erased Zamasu with that. And like what i've said, Zamasu's immortality was fueled by the power of the Super Dragon Balls itself, there's no way Goku overpowering that wish. And not to mention, Zamasu's immortality played as a curse when he came back and fused with the every fabric of the universe itself since his PHYSICAL BODY was destroyed, he came back as a higher entity which proves that he cannot really die because HE IS FVCKIN' IMMORTAL. It's the same logic as how characters like Sun Wukong, who have 7 layers of immortality cannot be killed and will still gonna comeback no matter what. And since Zamasu's immortality was granted by the sdb, the only being who can negate such wish is the omni king himself which is ZENO. Y'all just didn't like the ending and call it BS because y'all don't actually understand what's going on. Y'all just wanted a damn FAN SERVICE not an actual lore ACCURATE event lmfaooo. DB fana are really insufferable lol.

You're looking at it from an objective/logical standpoint. We're looking at it from a could've been/should've been standpoint.
Admittedly, whether or not the Hakai could've actually killed Merged Zamasu, I'm not sure. But at the end of the day, this is just a fan animation. There's no true "fairytale ending" to Trunks's timeline regardless of the outcome, just what could've been better/less worse.

Dude, every little bit of this is absolutely a masterpiece. From all the little details to your art style fitting Dragon Ball REALLY well. From the detail of Goku going from Blue to God to Base, to getting all of the VA's here (who did a FANTASTIC job, mind you). Even if this is more of a what-if the Hakai worked, this is absolutely PEAK from start to finish. 100/10.
