  • Hi,
today we are back with my 2010 Kia Optima, after we removed and replaced the diesel injectors on the common rail and also the rocker cover gasket on the last 2 videos, it's time to replace the timing belt and water pump.
This Optima have a 2 liter Diesel engine (D4EA) and actually it's my first time in 6 years replacing that timing belt, so I made a horrible mistake.
anyway, I made this video as a guide for amateurs like me, and I mentioned my mistake so you can learn from it and also, there is nothing to be ashamed of. We all have to learn and make mistakes in order to be better at what we are doing.
If the video was helpful, remember to give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing.
The guide is compatible with most makes and models.

I want to inquire about the hyundai santa fe 2005 2.0crd d4ea EGR system. The one that you repaired there(egr valve and actuator with an electronic solenoid) is it compatible to be placed on a car or d4ea engine that once had the vacuum controlled system. If so if my car does not have the electrical connnector for the actuator since it was once vacuum based how would i connect the electronic one that you have. And what pin configuration is on that 2 pin electrical connector, is it just power or it has control logic to it?
