Thank you so much for this thorough education! Now I know what to call my dozen or so Case knives. The one in my pocket today is called the cowbell and it sure feels great in my hand😁
I have a few older unused Casexx pocket an fixed blades. Also have several other older USA brands. Most all what I have are carbon cv not stainles. If you may be interested let me know. I've always loved Case. Good luck love your knowledge I'm 61 an learnt a little from you.
I liked your video. I got a suggestion for you make these into mats I'll buy the first one. Long time collector myself and the only error I seen is in 1990 they put an actual date on the tang for I think 3 years
If the first number is a 6 it denotes bone or brown delrin. If it's bone it will usually have an oval around the word Case on the shield. That small blade is a coping blade. A lot of whitteling knives have them. Good for making stop cuts.
I was given as a gift a case knife. It's in a case that says W.R. case and sons collection series. On the front blade it says case xx ..ss.. usa all the s are lightning bolts. The back blade says w6254 ss it's a custer's last stand. Can you tell me anything about it as far as age and is it worth anything? Thanks and great video.
I have a knife that has CASE XX with stainless spelled out under the case XX with 05233 on opposite side. Wondering the year since it was not on your chart.
I have a kmife that the C's tail goes completely under the XX, has the U, lightning bolt, amd the A, and no x or dots above but 4 dots below. The reverse has 5 numbers: 62087 with SS, NOT lightning bolts below. Is this the 90's to '99 year model?
Good video. I was wondering why one of my case knives didn't have any "dots" on any blades and now I know. Very well used so not worth very much though
Really depends on condition. A rough user could go for 60$ or one that is mint around 200-300, maybe more being a 10 dot. The 10 dots are pretty collectible.
I have a case bros pocket knife marked little valley NY 2 blades and a belt poker brown handle with a shield it must be older than your first display it's in good shape i found it in a box stuffed it the walls in my mom's house. What's it worth?
Just my luck my case matched nothing you showed. Blade has Case XX Bradford PA. USA # on small blade 63032 is it worth anything. Very good steel blades easily to make it very sharp. Has 3 blades. Any info would be great.
So, in the early early days, pre 1900 or around it, some of the Case’s had Bradford PA stamped in the blade, but I’d say you probably have a 90’s model. Check out 90’s model Case knives with Bradford PA on the stamp. It was like a retro thing they did.
@@lambfarms1 Thanks for your reply. Took another look using my phones zoom. It has 19 USA 93 on it. It just way smaller than I could see at first. Thanks for the reply and I enjoy your videos.
Let's not forget, Case knives are lifetime guarantee too and they do repair that at the factory. The lifetime means the lifetime of the original owner. Yes, Case knives are that good!
I recieved a Case knife from my grandfather in 1967 when he passed away. He was a rancher and carried it every day. Its a larger pocket knife than these shown. It has three blades, the short blade has a flat screw driver end plus a old style can opener. It says CASE XX. I belive it is a 1940-1950. How can I tell the age.
I have a Case Congress from 1953. I know the exact year it was purchased because it was a Christmas gift to my great grandfather. I have a Case Stockman from 1970-1979. It was my other great grandfather's knife. I'm not sure exactly when it was bought since it was not documented. And I have a Sodbuster Jr. from 1980-1989 that i paid $10 for a few months ago. The congress does not have a number. The stockman has 6333 on it. And the sodbuster jr has 2137 on it.

Awesome video, I certainly learned alot! Now when I find these knives at auctions and sales I'll have a guide to identify them. Thanks man

Thanks for the great education on what the numbers mean on the tang stamps!
Very informative! I just stumbled across an auction of case knives and know nothing about them. Maybe I'll pick up those 15 knives...
Gotta love the Case knives.
There is a Case and Zippo Museum 1932 Zippo Dr. Bradford , Pa. You can buy Zippo and Case knives there too !!!
Enjoyed your very informative video. Lots of good info. 🐊🐊

Like the video , I have several case knives and some other brands also
I’ll buy all the tested knives you got if you think they aren’t worth much money, nice collection by the way
Super helpful. I ID from my great grandfather 1940-64. He used his knife so it's not in great condition.

Do a video on old to new shields. Mostly older shields. With the circle and not a circle around case.
Good video. I was wondering why one of my case knives didn't have any "dots" on any blades and now I know. Very well used so not worth very much though
Very nice knives >>>>> Thank you /
I have the 1970 case usa xx 10 dot muskrat like the one you have. How much would that thing be worth?

Great video love this. Love yaaaaaaaa mean it.
I have a small case sod knife with 3137 on blade what's this represent
I believe that means you have a yellow synthetic Sodbuster Jr with one blade.
Have a Case I think it's a Peach seed Amber Bone 6207 C ? SS has a 2 prong blade. Can't find any inf. on Knife.
I am in the uk and have 4 old case knives. If i email you some pics can you tell me about them please?
I have a case bros pocket knife marked little valley NY 2 blades and a belt poker brown handle with a shield it must be older than your first display it's in good shape i found it in a box stuffed it the walls in my mom's house. What's it worth?
That’s a great question. It is all dependent on condition.
Alot of Franklin's.
I've got an old case I can't quite identify the number on the back is marked 06283 and it's marked case xx stainless? can you help me identify?
Whittler. 65-69
my sodbuster from the early 80s has a light bolt s and its carbon

The one with the sheepsfoot the opposite blade is a spey blade
I have a case tested xx folding knife with 2 blades,a bottle opener , and cork screw, yellow composite, can't find information about it
Why did you leave out the 1914-1920 tang stamp? That's what I have
90-94 was different from 95-99. No dots.

X's down. 1940- 1964
My knife shows case xx Under that says ss under that says USA what year is it
Depends on the style of the writing. Check to see if the writing matches anything in my video
1965-1969

That Tested 6383 is not a carry knife, it's worth at least $200 unless the blades are loose or the back handle is cracked.
What did they look like 1915 to 1919
Im pretty sure that knife is for skinning small wire and cable i don’t know tho (steel coping knife”)
You could be right.
The old ones they called the case circle c with carbon blades
Hi this is devan
Hello mr lamb
Do you like old timers?
The blade you’re calling a carpenter’s blade is called a coping blade.
All I keep getting is a ahold trying to sell crap and mattresses....what a rip....
I will let them go for a decent price if someone buys all. Not gonna lose though.
#100
Always carry a Case knife, fit& finish is not good anymore…😢
You guys gotta stop with the fake accent
Brother I promise it’s not fake 🤣
@@lambfarms1 okay. And plastic is real!
Don't sell grandpa's ole knife.... smh.
Hey man do you know about the Case-xx Bradford, PA. mcmxcv / 6208 ss
2 blade whittler, most likely a 1990’s throwback knife. They done that to symbolize how the first ones had Bradford, PA on them
