I just got my first Case knife, a 6375 large amber bone peachseed jig stockman in 1095, and I love it, its my favorite knife, its my nicest knife, its appears to to be a 2022 (8 dots) model that was box and sent out in early 2023 by the date on the box,and the thing I love most is that all the blades are equal pull (about 7), virtually no variation in the pull, no wobble, very minor blade rub that was "tuned out" and the patina helps to camouflage it, the back spring gap passes the visual test, but not the light test with only a very tiny amount on the light test on one end, nice smooth transitions and pins, and the Medium Job Sheath I got for it was nice as well, and fits the knife perfectly in height when its snapped shut. Very happy with this knife.
I agree. I have a bunch of Stockmans. I have a 6344, middle stockman,and 6375, large stockman,Case. I do not go for acrylic knives. I like bone. I also like the 6254 large Trapper. It is almost identical to my large stockman. My large stockman fits in the bottom of my pocket in my jeans. I have found little knives bite you faster than large knives and I hate to be bit. My next Case is going to be the 64061, two blade Jack knife with burl maple sides.
1) Large Gunstock 2) Barlow 3) Small Cigar 4) Small Coke Bottle 5) Texas Jack. I had to go look for Standard Knife Co knives.
The reason I don't buy case knives, is I bought one slip joint knife and the blade had a lot of wobble from side to side. The company wanted me to pay money to ship it to them and was going to charge me for the repair and the return shipping.

My Favorite is my CASE XX GEORGE JONES “ HE STOPPED LOVING HER TODAY” it’s one of just 50 ever produced so it’s pretty RARE.👍👏❤️🇺🇸

My trapper I got this past Christmas is great quality
I have the Russ Lock with blue handles. Super sharp blade.
Love the copperhead they have re-releashed for 2021. Know exactly what you mean about having to hand select your case knife.

Love the Congress and standard Barlow you've got, myself I'd love to get a case sunfish. I think the sunfish/elephant toe pattern would be great for 2021. Have you any thoughts on next year's vault pattern?

Throw it out and buy a new one,really?Throw them my way! I also have a couple of hundred Case knives and never,I repeat never had a Case knife that had bad gaps or unsatisfactory fit or finish. Blade rub is a fact of life for any stockman of any company,but my 5 seahorse wittlers or my 5 congress or 4 sowbelly stockman have zero blade rub. I am not a Case fan boy but I am just being honest about my knives as I collect any brand.I say just enjoy what you have been blessed with, some guys wish they had 1 Case,Boker,IXL,Queen and so many others,let's just have fun!!!! I love case but they do have shoddy QC. Love your peanut knife.

Why would I buy knives I do not like for 5 years?
I like Case knives but the last one I got the blade grind was umm the tip was not as pointy as it should have been for a Texas toothpick . I can fix it so I'm not to worried about it. The fit and finish was ok it's a beautiful knife small Texas toothpick witch's brew green and purple I going to make a video of it soon . I like the small traditional folders I call them watch pocket knives. Great video and nice knives!

The blade is not proportionate to the handle. I remember when case brought those out, it was a head scratcher to me. But great video! Thanks for sharing.
Hey James, love your videos on case knives. I don't think you hate the brand. You just want them to improve their quality for their sake and for us consumers. Cos I think if you hate something, you will not talk about it.

I have dozens of Case knives & USA Shrades & Uncle Henry. I collect the Blue Scroll, Red Scroll, Classics, Anniversary & Limited runs along with older rare shields. I have Shrade Bulldogs, Buffalo & even the Museum Founders knives for many years. I have old canoes & Barlows from many other manufacturers. I carry an old German canoe from before WW1 that I love. I have a Case Damascus Barlow & beefy stag with custom file work that’s BEAUTIFUL! Anyway, good video! Love that Standard Barlow!

Last I heard you were asking how people felt about bringing on the Rough Riders . And I remember you got some in to see how they're go . So was it a good move ? I have a dozen of them myself and like them . No duds , so I'm happy . But it's a bit sad you're not doing it anymore .

My problem with Case knives is that the quality is very hit or miss. You might get an excellent one, like my red jigged bone trapper... and then the next one, my large stockman, is a gas station knife. Cracked slab, blades horribly rubbing each other, pins were sticking out and catching on my pocket, poor polish job and bad gaps and horrible transitions... I couldn't believe that both knives came from the same company. One is on par with my Bokers and I love it. The other is a complete piece of garbage. Sent Case a video of the issues from my review, and so far, no response from Customer Service... I don't expect to hear from them, if I am honest. Bought it directly from their store front on Amazon.
Being made in the US doesn't mean what it used to, that's for sure. For $67 it was terrible, and nowhere near the quality of any of my Chinese knives from Civivi, Artisan, Steel Will, CJRB, etc...
I don't expect it to be on par with my Boker Cattle Knife that costs 4x as much... but the fit and finish of their stockman was downright poor. And in talking to my local knife shop, he said I wasn't alone... If he gets 100 case knives in... a handful will be top notch like my Trapper. Some will be "ok for the money", and about half of them will be poor quality. They are very inconsistent and that's a shame for a company that spends so much time talking about legacy, heritage, US made quality, etc...
I will never buy another Case knife unless I can handle it first, and dig through the pile to find a good one. I picked up an $18 Rough Rider stockman, that was superior to the Case in every way other than perhaps the steel used. But the materials and fit and finish, blew the $67 Case out of the water. And the Rough Rider Reserve series "Common Stock", made the Case one look like a $7 gas station knife...
Some times with some experience, you can improve the Case fit and finish on the new knives. That's my opinion.
You started the lineup by offering that you can't sharpen very well and ended with the butterbean that you: "sharpened the hell out of" Which is it charlatan?
