When giving water to big crop fields, they have different sizes of holes at the start, middle and end of the tubes. To have a similar flow rate everywhere. Seems to be the same for air. Maybe not worth the effort for this v1, but for a next version. Nice video. Thanks.
Great work, if you space a section of thick flat bar just off the top of the tube it may avoid the coal dropping through and act as a sacrificial replaceable cover like the old gas BBQs??

Yeah the holes needed to be bigger at the start and get smaller progressively. I did make some adaptations to achieve this, but I didn't film them.
