Britain has been on a steady decline since the 1890s. However, it's wealth has never been greater, it's just concentrated in too few hands. But that's one British tradition you can always rely on. It gives Brexiteers a false sense of pride, just like GB News.

As a brown skinned person born here I can honestly say I preferred things the way they were before 1997 when we could still call this country our own or at least it could be called a country. I dont mind immigration when the numbers are reasonable and people integrate but right now this country is a dumping ground and MASS immigration is a problem. Our facilties and resources, NHS and housing are all being used and abused and honestly believe the companies employing all of this cheap labour need to be paying far higher taxes as firstly they have encouraged people to pollute the planet by flying here and then using a gas boiler and driving cars, using services so emissions increase massively, then the taxpayer has to pickup the tab for their subsidised housing, tax credits, child benefits, etc, etc. Those companies should be billed for those costs.

It is a but mentally deluded to say "extinction" - a massive exaggeration, is irrational to the extreme. Though, you are right also, people are generally totally dumbed down with junk TV but many are not.
Foreigners always have come along to all places, the point is how it happens. Plenty of people have Italian ancestry all over the world. This Mayor was obviously elected for a reason - he is fluent in English, with an accent.

I agree England is over populated and we need to put a stop to all migration for the next 5 years at least until the government, Tory or Labour, get control of the numbers. Would you really send people who have lived here for years, have made a contribution to our society and are British citizens? I wonder who you have voted for in the past, is it Labour? Because as far as I'm concerned it is because of Labours open door immigration policy that we are in the situation we are now. I can guarantee the people who are rightly complaining that the immigration numbers are too high, will be the very same people who will go out and vote Labour at the next election. If you think we have issues now, wait until Labour get into power. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Went to Boston a few years ago and would never go back. Very rundown place and no surprise that it had the highest proportion of people voting for Brexit.

I'm sure this guy is a benefit to any place he would turn up but the irony of his background and history and the fact he is a 'former' mayor is not lost.
This seems to be feature with a lot of immigrant communities - they want to pull up the ladder in terms of what opportunities there are for future communities.
When the British were making these arguments about the huge influx to Britain at the behest of New Labour they were demonised by not only them but all the major parties as racist and bigoted.

They moved here for a life as it was then, they're just as appalled as the indiginous population at what life here has become now.

    • @Seansaighdeoir

@@petermach8635 Life for the indigenous was already difficult when they moved here and they made that much harder but they didn't worry about that at the time. Now they appear to be doing the same again - worrying about themselves.

I live in Surrey and our little town has roughly 2% Asian population, the doctor’s surgery holds about 40 people, 80% of patients are Asian, something is very wrong here, where are these patients coming from as it’s not from our town, No wonder you can’t get NHS support. They are giving away the NHS free to the world no wonder it’s F####D
