Good podcast guys. A lot of us tour big miles 2up on our adventure bikes and the one gaping hole in TH-cam reviews is exactly that. For example, the pillion seat on the 1300 is 3 inches narrower than the 1250 and a few of the magazines have had not so positive comments from pillions. Maybe something you need to develop into your reviews.
I’ve covered 27k in two years on my GSA , 23k with the wife on board and I’m now questioning what BMW will do with the new GSA, if it’s the same rear seat as the 1300 that might spell trouble on long runs, so I’m looking at others at the moment to keep my options open. Keep up the good work

Looking forward to the new Stelvio comparison with the 1300GS

Maybe interesting, yes. But it wont be a comparison on the same level. Both are in different categories. So there can't result useful findings for potential buyers.

With ADV bikes, looks are the least most important part. These bikes get hammered- they’re not a bike to get precious over. If you ride it as intended, it’s going to show plenty of scars. Cafe preening poser boys shouldn’t buy these types of bikes, lol

Got mine now two months and the quick shifter on my 1250 was better. Much force needed up shift, down shift is oké. Very clunky shifts up even from the fifth gear to sixth gear. If shifting is too slow the engine stalls (electronic) so annoying. Further the bike is a race GS in mine opinion. I have the Akra exhaust but sounds is not exciting at all. Overall very happy with my 719 style GS.

I just priced a loaded R1300GS Trophy version for $28,725. Throw in some luggage and you are looking at north of $31K. I'm going to have to think long and hard about spending over $25K for a specialty bike.

Price points are raised because of bmw pcp drive it means u pay£150-200@ month to HIRE one for 3 years but never own one. Most don’t get it that they pay loads extra on interest u r better off getting a better loan from the bank . PCP means bikes get turned over every 3 yrs but as before that market is diminishing due to age insurance.

Insurance is the big killer as I looked at MS v4 when it first came out either no because of London postcode or stupid prices until insurance becomes acceptable big bikes will be domain of retired or rich persons or only on PCP

How well do we think the blinker integrated hand guards will hold up to a crash???
Also I'm guessing you can't really do a tail tidy because of the rear radar unit.

Just replace them with the regular LEDs, like in the enduro package! Problem solved.

I think the 1250GSa is old fashioned compared to the 1300GS.

The Radar is also a distraction. How was Ducati able to minimalize the sensors and not disturb the styling but BMW Radar Sensors add to the Fugly look of the front and rear look of the bike. The styling is a bad job on the BMW. Even on the old 2005 R1200ST with the vertical headlights, it was not as ugly as the 1300GS front and rear. In fact I think the R1200ST front and rear look is a far better style / look than the 1300GS look. I sure hope the new R1300 RT looks better than the GS.

Best ADV?! By no means! Only for narrow-minded BMW-fanatics. Poor reliability, flaws, the high price not worth etc.

"narrow-minded BMW-fanatics" yeah, as opposed to the broad minded mabaumgaertel. Small manpart syndrome ?

@@mabaumg. those tits (in 🇩🇪 these bikes are called "Tuttelbären", which isn't a compliment exactly 😁) sticking out on both sides aren't improving its looks, though 😁
