Hey Oshare friends! Because of the deep fear of copyright, we couldn’t include original movie images or music, but if you want to see the anime scenes we recreated so this vlog makes a bit more sense, check the description for links to the movie scenes! (Otherwise, please enjoy another mad cycle around beautiful rural Japan ✌️) And as always, thanks for watching 🥰
@@zackary1232 it seems like this and a few other comments got held for review, so sorry to reply so late. To answer your question, it’s pretty rare. I’ve only seen it on a menu once. They’re seen as pretty sacred and also they’re fresh water fish so less safe to eat then saltwater fish, so that might be why!
It's cool that the director of the anime choose to highlight this town, i hope alot more anime producers can follow this and make the rural areas of japan more enticing to visit for everyone.
Isn’t it great? I know that Hayao Miyazaki (of Studio Ghibli fame) has also used some remote places for inspiration for his films, but not to the degree that you can go and visit. It’s a great way to find out about some beautiful locations and enjoy local traditions and food ☺️
Its crazy to see those autumn-colored leaves this deep into the winter season; its so beautiful! And those koi fish be lookin' quite thicc, hahaha. This was an amazing watch; I was grinning from ear-to-ear throughout the video :] Can't wait to see what's next!!
I really enjoyed takayama in the winter the old town is so pretty and the hida folk village is great.Just something about the area really made it special. Also if you love a5 it’s like a center of all beef everywhere has hida beef and it’s so good.
Gifu is honestly one of my favourite prefectures (so far) just because of all of the beautiful architecture. I can’t begin to imagine how much I’d lose it seeing it in the snow! Apparently they have to relocate the koi in the winter though. Did you see them? Sake and fine beef.. it’s no wonder we like Gifu so much 🥴😂
@@OshareJapan No koi that I remember tho I do remember all the water running like crazy I assume so it never freezes. Oh one more thing it’s the only place I found with a 3 liter can of asahi super dry with a plastic handle. It’s really a comical thing. Anywho stay warm and thanks for the video. Btw I really do love that movie so it was so cool to see all the same spots.
@@ghzhammer we saw the Asahi tankard in Izu once and lost our minds over it 😂 it’s almost worthy of being a souvenir. I heard that they move the koi in winter so they can shovel the snow into the stream so it must not freeze! And thank you for watching 😊
It really is so beautiful, I am such a tourist too, somehow I have missed all the autumn leaves. Also I have never watched the movie but I want to after this vlog 😍 I love how Japan is so similar to movies and also I was impressed I saw a pavement in this vlog and was like what!!!
I heard that there is another less well known anime that is set around the Takayama area, but if there were more anime on this scale set in rural areas it would be amazing! I love how true to life the scenes are 🥺❤️

Do japanese still eat koi?

Yes, this area is peaceful and beautiful!

Amazing, stunning autumn colors...lovely towns with scent of "sake". Enjoyed the exhilarating ride!
Thank you! Hoped it helped fill in the other senses 😆.
That really is beautiful with the autumn colours.
We caught it at the best time! 😍
What a beautiful video!
Thank you! ☺️ Gifu is extraordinarily pretty!
You nailed the gohei mochi shot!
Thank you! We were especially proud of that one (minus the mochi direction 🙈😂)!
Great recreations!
Thank you! It was a definite proud moment 😆

And now it’s snowing 😂😂 wait.. did it snow in Chiba too? And you really should! The anime style is gorgeous! It really does look like real life!
@@OshareJapan yeah it snowed and is snowing here, but it rained before so nothing is setting. Another anime added to my growing list
It’s a interesting video
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching! 😊
It's like Taki and Mitsuha have a trip to their memorial places after they met each other again.
this anime broke my heart, it would be nice if future anime movie using more japan rural setting. Definitely help dying rural area.

Visit 'the silent voice' movie place
Still need to watch it 😗🎶🙈 Next time!
高山はアニメ「氷菓」の聖地として有名ですね。
My favourite animes are Wings of Honneamise and Voices from a distant Star. Have you guys seen these?
Ooh no we haven’t but we’ll add them to the list for our next internet café stop! 😍
I saw on another channel about Japan s draconian copy right laws. Ouch.
Right? 😬 can never be too careful, even if the video doesn’t have quite the same effect..🥲
❤️❤️❤️
