I hope that, by the time I'll visit the cafe, my japanese will be fluent enough to sustain a convo just as lively as this! Wait for me, Chimu-chan!
Her cheerfulness is very contagious, so impressed by how positive they can come across even if they have worked for many years now! Chimu made me smile so often during the video!
Even though I am foreigner, I've been there many times and yes, Chimu is amazing. She is always cheerful like this, it's not just an "act" for video. When I enter the store she is serving at she calls my name and wave at me the moment she sees me. It always makes me smile.
Especially compared to the butler cafe, 'at home' felt much more comfortable. Chimu-chan's cheerfulness was contagious and I imagine takes a lot of work! I could never possibly give like that while in the service industry 😅

The truth is that they are heroes trying to make others' days better. In Japan there has always been the myth that people are emotionally flat, but have a huge heart.
I was amazed not only by the amount of effort invested in emotions, energy and a smile. But! Does she remember every customer, and what he ordered and did? Unbelievable! Just imagine how many visitors there are in this cafe and you need to remember - what if they come back? When she begins to listen carefully to what the author of the video says, it is immediately clear that she is attentive and focused, and not only carefree and airy, like the cutest anime character! 👏 It's great to see her step out of character in these moments and after come back into it again.
in my experience, some will give you a card have your name written on it and your last order. so when you go back to the cafe, you can give the card to the server and give you a small discount.
The all-female Japanese hard rock band "Band Maid" was founded by a young woman named Miku Kobato who used to work at this Cafe - she loved the Maid concept so much she convinced her talent agency to recruit 4 phenomenal musicians/singer to join her project - a band dressed as Maids while performing hard rock... and they succeeded beyond Miku's wildest dreams - now in their 11th year with the original members with millions of fans around the world... seriously, check out their live versions of HATE?, Domination, Play, or Puzzle (all available on their TH-cam channel). omg i just love these videos!! the maids give off lots of positive energy, i can’t imagine how many ppl feeling down they already helped with their jobs. hats off!! its not easy
I went to this same exact one 3 weeks ago and it was such a great time! The puppy curry was almost too cute to eat and everyone was so kind and bubbly! 10/10 will revisit on my next Japan trip!!
My Niece has really loved watching some of these videos, she wanted to dress up like one of the maids and sing, she also loves seeing your style too, she says it's very simple but very very cute. It's amazing seeing that much energy, especially learning Chimu had been there for 11 years. It's a special kind of place that you can be that happy at for that long. Niece was wondering if there were other theme cafes out there. We've heard of ones for Tokusatsu and even specific shows like Detective Conan, Demon Slayer and Dragonball, if you happen to visit one we would love to see it.
I 've watched both Chimu and Mizukin version. To me, Chimu's voice has more variation than Mizukin like she has high tone and deep tone when she speak. But Mizukin's way of goodbye is a bit better when she run to the entrace to waves at us. Just my thought. I adore them so much. Thank you for the video.
The maid that seats her in the beginning reminds me so much of Miku Kobato, founding member of the internationally acclaimed rock group, BAND-MAID. She has to be the most famous former @home maid and brings the maid cafe to the audiences with "Miku's omajani time" during concert breaks (MOE! MOE!). Miku honored @home by shooting the video for "Afterlife" in one of their cafes and using some of the maids and staff as extras, which can be seen here on YT. She greets us with "welcome home masters and princesses" at the start of the shows, and it truly feels like coming home for this fan.
😄 It appears that it is not easy to be a waitress at a maid cafe. People-skills aside, you've also got to be able to sing, dance and know how to entertain the customers - and good-looking as well.
I don't know if these cafes were around when I was in Japan (1998 -2003), but if they were, I regret never visiting them. They look like a lot of fun! It seems like also the kind of place where a lot of guests would dress up in cosplay to visit.
I really want to take the courage and visit one those cafes once, last time in japan i couldnt. Coming from a country known for hospitality i would just spend 90% of the time telling the maids "thank you for you time" and "Im sorry". Add on top of that you cannot tip in japan, i sure would have done that by mistake given the quality of service and roleplay. Their positive energy is over the top, their job must be really hard. Maybe next time.
Would be cool if more countries had something similar to this. The U.S. for example, could benefit from more positive, fun spaces that aren't achohol and casino centered
I’ll have to place the @Home Cafe on my list of places to visit when I visit Japan. Chimu-chan’s genki attitude is so contagious! While I’m generally a cheerful person, I still have my down days and might have some trouble not letting it show. Honestly, I think maid outfits are so adorable and I would love to try wearing one. I think I would love to visit a maid cafe to get a feel for the atmosphere. As a figure skater, it would really be cool to do a program wearing a maid outfit skating to cheerful music just like that maid performance in the video.
As an older American I had no idea what to expect from his. This video was fun! The "maid" was a lovely young lady. Her costume, hair and makeup were amazing she clearly puts effort into every detail. I have no idea how she can keep that amount of positive energy going all day!
-just to add a bit to reservations, even if you are in a group of 4-5 people, you usually dont need to reserve. The only time you really need to reserve is if they have an event going on which they announce on their main twitter when those are happening/reservations are required. -whenever ive been, ive not really seen the bells except for on the actual tables. If you are seated on the rows in front of where OP is sitting, you just put your hand up and politely say "excuse me" -in addition to the 2 shot cheki, you can also get "collection cheki" which is a solo picture of the maid you prefer. This also guarantees you some extra talk time directly with your preferred maid as they will decorate it at your table. -also, when it comes to the mini live i dont know how often they do it, but in the many times i've been, i think its only happened something like 1 in 20 times

When actual family cannot provide positive energy you can't really blame people for going to this place.
Chimu Chan looks really cute 🥰 just like mizukin she was very cute
I dont speak a Word japanese but she could sell me anything with this level of enthusiasm.
These girls are cute AND have the energy to keep up with what is required of them giving energetic vibes as a maid all day. Truly amazing people
I went to this same exact one 3 weeks ago and it was such a great time! The puppy curry was almost too cute to eat and everyone was so kind and bubbly! 10/10 will revisit on my next Japan trip!!
I cant, I got so bored of this cuteness overload. My brain is screaming! Its amazing how they can keep up this kind of work. They might get paid alot.
Thank you for the video.
i remember watching your last video at the maid cafe before i went to japan! i’m so happy i got to visit during my trip
OMG IM SO HAPPY YOU CAME BACK AGAIN ❤❤❤ these videos are so healing ❤❤
😄 It appears that it is not easy to be a waitress at a maid cafe. People-skills aside, you've also got to be able to sing, dance and know how to entertain the customers - and good-looking as well.
I don't know if these cafes were around when I was in Japan (1998 -2003), but if they were, I regret never visiting them. They look like a lot of fun! It seems like also the kind of place where a lot of guests would dress up in cosplay to visit.
Chimu is so cute, but this must be a hard job... Nice Video 👍😊
That was one of the most extraordinary videos I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thank you for this video! Hope to see @home in a real live someday! 😍
Those maids are very cute I wish visit this cafe one day🙂😊
I honestly could not be that happy happy high energy props to her
As an older American I had no idea what to expect from his. This video was fun!
The "maid" was a lovely young lady. Her costume, hair and makeup were amazing she clearly puts effort into every detail. I have no idea how she can keep that amount of positive energy going all day!
Soo adorable now I want to learn Japanese just to go!!!❤
Throughout the vid I can't help but ask how on earth can these women be cheerful I Know its just a job but dang i am impressed
This is lovely. I hope me and my wife can enjoy some of that in the near future.
This is so beautiful one of my dreams is visiting Japan and going to a Maid caffe 💖
Watching this made me so happy
-just to add a bit to reservations, even if you are in a group of 4-5 people, you usually dont need to reserve. The only time you really need to reserve is if they have an event going on which they announce on their main twitter when those are happening/reservations are required.
-whenever ive been, ive not really seen the bells except for on the actual tables. If you are seated on the rows in front of where OP is sitting, you just put your hand up and politely say "excuse me"
-in addition to the 2 shot cheki, you can also get "collection cheki" which is a solo picture of the maid you prefer. This also guarantees you some extra talk time directly with your preferred maid as they will decorate it at your table.
-also, when it comes to the mini live i dont know how often they do it, but in the many times i've been, i think its only happened something like 1 in 20 times
What an adorable video. I was watching, doing the same activities and words as you were instructed. This was really a happy video. It cheered me up and one day i hope to visit this store.
Thank you again. 🎉
I don't think I have smiled this much for a very long time. I loved the joy and the energy and just pure happiness that felt so genuine. I can't wait to visit chimu-chan!
Oh Oh Oh ! Welcome back to the At-home Café ! With Chimu-san !
The n°2 of the AH-C ! A must ! Thank You !❤
Funny, I was there a year ago too, but at the basic place on the other side of the street. Gosh, even with everything I missed from the language barrier and noise inside we still had a great time and would like to go back.
Great job on your captions and your use of emoticons.
Ahrenet!!! How many energy from this girls! If in one day come 50 clients - how can they serve so many people?
Finally something for my wife and me to relax :D
Greetings from germany :)
To work there, you must be good at acting and brave. I was very impressed with their maids. This is often required by foreign tourists in Japan.
Aaa I'm so happy you returned to @home cafe! I really hope you're going more often. This is such a nice experience even just seeing it online. I really wanna go to there when I'm visiting Japan in autumn 💕
Like the Geisha, these are trained to give a fantasy while you are there. 😊 I get it now.
I can't believe this maid is not married. She is adorable.
I'm thankful that my question on maid training is getting answered💓
I love it cafe in Japan and mald so cute ❤❤💕💕
