- In this special message, streamed live April 2nd, 2023 at Calvary Chapel For Lauderdale, FL, Pastor David Guzik teaches on Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians, chapter 10. His sermon cautions us, as it did the early church, on the dangers of idolatry, the topic of which Christian examples to follow, as well as on what it means to stand behind the freedom and justification found in Christ's sacrifice, and the emancipatory nature of the gospel itself.

Pastor Guzik, this chapter is where I am in my nightly studies. Every night, I read chapter by chapter, verse by verse, then I go to your commentary page and watch the video or listen to the audio you have on that chapter.
There are times like tonight when there are 2 on the same chapter.
I’ve always chosen the older one because it’s a continuation of the previous chapter of when you were pastoring the church.
I’d think man, he’s been teaching his church weekly in the study of this book of the Bible with such passion and enthusiasm that I want to continue with the older ones.
Tonight I chose both. First the older then this one.
I must say… time hasn’t changed the way you teach/preach. Still today, you teach/preach with such passion and enthusiasm. Maybe it did change just a little. Because today, that passion and enthusiasm seems more bold than before and I didn’t even think that was possible.
You remind me a lot of Paul.
Especially his words in
1 Corinthians 9:16
“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”
You are truly gifted and anointed. You’ve yielded to the Holy Spirit in your calling. And I thank you. I thank God for you. May He continue to bless you as you bless others.
Pastor gruzik,
Wrong place to post this, but I want to thank you, again, for opening my eyes with your commentary!!!
You mentioned the hymn Rock of Ages....about psalms and exodus verses. That hymn will never be the same to me again! So many, many words, and verses you've opened my mind to greater understanding of God's word!!
All I can say is, thank you! May God bless you for all your work!
I hope you eventually read this. I can't support you monetarily, but I pray for your ministry, and I thank you!

What a powerful word! Praise the Lord for the work He has begun in these lives..."being confident of this very thing, that He who begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ..." Philippians 1:6 ✝️ 📖 🕊
Very well said! Amen.
