Kingdom Builder is pure genius. It is so simple and it still manages to turn quite a few boardgame tropes on their head. The first move is so sweet :)
Core Worlds is another game that i consider vastly underrated.
Fantasy Flight Games’s Arcana is a game that i have gotten a lot of mileage out of over the years. Deckbuilding, bluffing, weird area control and quite a few variants out of the box, it is a hidden gem, to me.

So right on Whitehall Mystery, a brilliant hidden movement game, my favourite.

Love the pick of Khora. So underrated. I demo'ed and picked it up at Origins 2021 (the last time Iello was there) and it's a very fun game that utilizes tracks very well.

I agree with having Elder Sign on your list. I think it suffered from too many reviewers dismissing it as "Cthulhu Yahtzee". The game has much more depth and roll mitigation to reduce it to that description. It does need the first expansion to be considered a complete game, in my opinion, with Streets of Arkham being a way to change the tone if the museum location gets stale. I think it will stand the test of time.

Amazing list! Really need to give Small Samurai and Rapid Response a try. Absolutely love Whitehall.

Small samurai empire ended up being one of my favorite area control game, the whole programming part really does a good job of keeping the tension high. A brilliant game, looking forward to the expansion ❤️

Tammany Hall is another game that would fit well on this list. And I definitely agree about Whitehall Mystery; I've never played Letter From Whitechapel but I don't know that I need to since I own Whitehall.

I have Whitehall Mystery and I agree that it's a fantastic game; my only problem with it is that the rule book could've been better. There are many scenarios that might occur during the game but are not covered in the rule book.
My underrated game with a BGG rank that's below 500 is Tobago. I recently bought it brand new from the German Amazon website for a low price, and it's been a blast playing it; needles to say that it looks stunning on the table!

I’ve played it and am kind of ambivalent. There’s a purity to Kingdom Builder that I prefer but I don’t dislike WK.

I've always felt Age of Industry (822) got the shaft. It's extremely similar to Brass Lancashire (20) but plays in half the time. If it got the Roxley makeover I'd have it on my shelf tomorrow.
EuroRails (1624) and Vinci (951) are games I love from way down in the depths. I understand why they're so low, they're ugly as heck and have their flaws, but I adore them anyway. Vinci is of course mechanically almost identical to Small World (293), but better and more elegant.
Jungle Speed (1489) is an absolute banger of a dexterity game, despite the risk of injury. It's the Lawn Darts of tabletop games.
Bus (700) and Irish Gauge (958) are also great.

Personally I really like Havana. I don't get why it only has 6.8 on boardgamegeek. I'm not saying it has to be an 8, but.. with the right player account (3 or 4) you can have a really great time playing this.

Whitehall Mystery is not a revised version of Letters from Whitechapel. It is a light version of Letters from Whitechapel. It is a quicker game, but it looses some of the deduction depth that Whitechapel provides and even though it uses the same mechanics the game plays way different: Whitehall feels like a chase while Whitechapel feels more like an investigation.
You have not played Whitechapel or did not understand it.
Both games are great, and yes, Whitehall is underrated, but Whitechapel is a deeper and more deductive game experience.

I’ve played Whitechapel several times, maybe 8 or 9 times? It was a favorite game of my group many years ago. Like I said in the video, it’s “kind of *like* a revision of a previous game, it’s from the creators of letters from white chapel, it is like a more consolidated, concise version of it”. I stand by it, it’s not Letters From Whitechapel 2nd Edition but in the way that Elder Sign reinterprets Arkham Horror, so did Whitehall Mystery (though they much closer resemble one another). And yeah, I would play Whitehall over Whitechapel any day of the week. What it sacrifices is nowhere near what I feel like it gains. Of course this is all subjective opinion and I can see why someone might appreciate the original, but for me there is no reason to go back.

@@TheCardboardHerald the designers intent was to make a lighter quicker hidden movement game using the same system. They didn’t try to make an improved version of Whitechapel.
      Both games play really different.
Whitehall is a “catch me if you can” hidden movement game where investigators are always one or two steps behind jack. It has deduction depth and the game feels tense and interesting all the time.
Whitechapel is more about finding Jack’s hideout, so it is more an investigation than a chace. Sure, you can also play it like a cat and mouse game, but investigators will do better if they try to deduce where Jack’s hideout is and block him from getting there, that is the real idea of the game, because if you are playing with an experienced Jack, the investigators will not stand a chance if they try to capture Jack by chasing him.
Both games are great, and its up to personal preference. I love both, but I still think Whitechapel is the deeper and more deduction heavy hidden movement game ever created.
However, I think both games have their place. They serve different purposes.
Now Mind MGMT is kind of taking Whitehall Mystery place for me, being an even quicker deduction hidden movement game while still providing a great logical puzzle.
