Thank you for easy to understand video, is there a way to use Telegram for those who have never owned a mobile phone please? Seems to sign in, you get stuck if you don't have a mobile phone unfortunately.
Aside from the fact that it didn't work, superb video. Apparently, I don't have a "linked device", whatever that means. Hence am unable to receive the code.

and what happens if you want to use Telegram on Desktop and you didnt have an Mobile Version of Telegram. How you can use it then if the Code was send to your mobile Version, that you didnt have?
Or for that matter, you do have it, but it errors out?
Very easy to understand. Yet, getting the code is not working from me as I do not have a "linked device". Why don't they just send the code in a message like most do? I'll keep digging through videos until I find out how to access a code. Sheesh.

Judging from the comments, it works great for the vast majority of respondents. But not for the few of us who are pretty much stranded with nothing to go on. It appears to be related to the code, how it is sent, and, not mentioned in this video, whether the devices are linked. There's a piece missing here, somewhere. I note that this is for Windows 10. Have things changed with more recent versions? Is there some incompatibility between iOS and Windows that could be impacting registration?

Telegram has the most ridiculous download option that I have ever seen in my life. When I get to "start messaging" it asks for "mobile number" (which I already set up on my phone) it will not send me a code to my phone. This is so frustrating. I have gone step by step I don't know how many times to no avail. I have been a computer user since 1982 and this is the most ridiculous program I have ever seen. What if I don't want it on my phone (which I don't). So peed off.
Hey Pal, use the initial log in code which has been given by telegram when you opened telegram account on your phone.Use that code on laptop also if u want to open a telegram account on laptop

verification code isn't being sent to my phone for windows but did sent it for when i installed it on my phone. odd
