For me hardest time was when my eldest was about 22 and he headed 3000 miles away for his new job…about 15 years later I followed with my wife so we could enjoy and help with the grandkids..
All of with kids will go through this, I have two sons and we went through it we're Very Very Fortunate that one son lives about a mile away and we baby sit our grandchildren and the other about 30 miles and we always hangout together!❤ ❤ it's sad so many people don't have that.
Also Justin, yes I no, this idea adds weight to truck and more fuel. But if u truly looking 4 another trailer.. u should get a reefer.. u can pull regular freight when there's loads, and if not, u can pull temperature freight.. u would not always dead head out of Florida. U could pull flowers to orange juice out of Florida. Reefer and dry van n 1
The Performance Center is awesome. BMW used to give you the option of European Delivery or Performance Center Delivery. European obviously you fly to Germany and take delivery at the plant there and tour across Europe for a week or two, then ship it home. At the Performance Center they used to give you a few rides with an instructor in a similar car to yours and go around the skidpad or the road course, and if you bought an X model they have an off-road course to drive on. Not sure if they still do it though.

And y are u going thru Atlanta?? U can bypass Atlanta by going to I 85 to commerce ga. Take us 411 south pass I 20. Follow signs for us 129 south to macon ga.. go west on i16 to i75 south to Florida.. no where near Atlanta.. lower miles.. saves time..

One of the Freightliners we Bought down in Ohio has Airbag Suspension, I will Say this the Air Ride Suspension rides like no other, it’s also Automatic Transmission so when my Wife and I drove down the a Small Town South of Findlay, Ohio. That Dump Truck Rode like a Cadillac. I at first These might be a good buy, But after I test Drove I am Convinced Airbags are the way to go.

And Nana and Daisy are still with us having fun. Ran into a driver that does Hot Shot Load's and Nana had a blast with him on the CB. And he was like huh how u know me who is this. And she goes look behind u and he was like dam u guy's sheesh are crazy. And he was happy seeing my grandma. He's heading back home from ur state Tennessee. Had to deliver a car that was being shipped over sea's. And it ended up being shipped to the wrong port.
Yeah when they get older they start becoming more independent and it can be heart breaking... but it shows you are doing your job... you want your kids to be able to stand on their own. In a few years it is going to be not so much fun during the teenage years... yeah it's neat that you can be more interested in what they are doing since it's more adult stuff but some teenagers are going to be not so interested in what you have to say and may do some crazy stuff that makes no sense. Best you can do is ride it out... give them support and show you care... eventually they will return to the fold :) BTW... this is the time for a dad's man cave... so when one of your kids is giving you fits... you can hide and slam a beer or two to chill out... ask me how I know? I would look them straight into their Eyes then tell them Buddy or Mamm I can Sit at Home and Not make any Money, Rather then Go to Work and Still Not Make any Money.
