So nice hearing your story as well as sharing comments posed by the audience. I wish you all the very best; above all God's favour for distinction as you settle back in the country.
You've made the best of decisions after living outside of your home country for 15+ years. Stick to the decision and never let what people would say influence you. Home sweet home is a wise saying. No matter how you love another's country, it can never be like yours. The most important aspect is that you have been able to keep something aside out of what you received monthly despite the unsettling bills. May God direct your steps going forward. Bravo!
This is just the way I feel right now, I really want to go back to Nigeria. Sis, please don't let anyone discourage you. Home is home. As long as you own a home in Nigeria, you are good 👍
Thanks for sharing your journey of JAPADA. I hardly ever comment on videos but I must acknowledge you are on the right track with the move. It is very hard for people to understand what it feels living abroad for over 15 years+. I am currently on same journey with timeline firmly set.
All I can say is let no one copy anyone Your family is so lovely and you seem to already have found favour. Raising 5 children in the UK is not easy. I really love your presentation and I pray that the Holy Spirit helps you and your husband make the best decision for you. For some, Nigeria is the best thing that happened to them, for others, it is the worst and what amazes me about life is how people in the same country can turn out differently and this is why we must seek him. I know at least 2 70 year olds in the US, who are happy, they get to travel to Nigeria and return to the US, some people are so blessed with wonderful family members, for others, if their family members were like Joseph's brothers, they will even be rejoicing, at least Joseph's brothers felt bad later on, at that point, Joseph had become a great man, not in his country but a foreign land. What I am saying is this, I wish the Akomolafe family the best because I believe they must have sought God's face, they are also being favored already. For others, be double sure, because some people go to Nigeria and love it there, others Re-japa after japadaing, makesure the opportunity is open, don't get stuck like someone I know, a relative confirmed that his mum forced him home, he was doing well in the States, after visiting home, he decided to return, family members took him to the airport, when they got there, the attendant said he could not fly because he didn't have papers. As we speak, he has gone blind in one eye, he said going on okada affected him. Everyone is different. Seek your maker and do not compare.
Nigeria is not as bad as it's postrays. People are leaving very fine in Nigeria you just have to know your way around the locality you reside. You can start any business when you return and trust me with due diligence and good capital it would sell the market is available. Try to reside in a secured estate for security purpose and every other things you need would be around for school and all. You can consider to leave in Ibadan as it's relatively peaceful. Regards to your family
As we plan well-well & are about to JAPADA from USA to 9ja, the question is how come many who JAPA won’t come back even though super majority would Love to return? It’s because they don’t have sustenance & na (regular income) the problem bi that woo. Any Pikin wei JAPADA & have income like Social Security, Pension, 401K, rental property income coming from abroad while living in 9ja, ahhhh Pesin will live like a King/Queen. Make Una go & verify!!
Abi o! Some things are in waiting to shock the JAPADAs. Additionally, don't just get in on the JAPADA stuff, some of them have done their homework very well e.g, if you have a job that pays you even if it's $3k/month and you are allowed to work remotely from anywhere in the world and your spouse also have such salary, imagine converting $6k/month salary in Nigeria, you will live like a king. Additionally, they may have already bought a house, install high capacity solar that will power everything in the house and have probably shipped their car to Naija as well or bought an electric car they can always charge with their solar, what else will they need? Some of these people already have citizenship of the country they left and can always fly anywhere all over the world so, what hinders a lot of people won't hinder them. These are some of the things you may not hear from the JAPADAs

Well , for me, it’s that lovely child on your lap…. The noise , pollution , dust , and constant anger ….won’t be healthy for that lovely skin
Change your mindset woo. Even in abroad wei I dey for now, the food we eat has plenty Mugu chemicals woo.
Why is it that anytime you japadas think of relocating, you equate how Lagos is to the whole of Nigeria??

Classism is here o
And is the tribalism affecting you personally to the point that you feel less of a human??
