His brief career was as bright as a meteor, running like a golden tear across the dark face of night. He was a genius and totally individual man that changed our horizons back then, and inspired us who appreciate him to this day and beyond!! Reunited with his beloved mother now in heaven.
That's all true. These days I caught myself thinking about that, that he found his peace near to his mother. Who know him, knows that's was all that he really wanted.
He was about 6 years younger than my granmother and when I first discovered James Dean as a teenager she talked about what a profound effect his life and death had on pop culture. My grandmother was somewhat of a pop culture expert. She loved movies and tv. 😊
His death will always make me mad. He was truly talented and as many others, I'd kill to see him develop as an actor. Just 10 to 20 more years of him being alive would've already been good. He was something else, even today people remember him and are inspired by his style. - Over 60 years later! He could've been even bigger than he was and is now. I fell in love with Jimmy in 1975 when I was 15. I'd never seen anyone act like him before and still haven't to this day. I have thought or spoken about him every single day since 1975, and I've been a collector of stuff on him ever since too. I hope that I get to meet him one day when I'm gone. He wasn't the dark and moody Jimmy that some people portray him as, he was funny (could have a warped sense of humour at times - like me!!!!), and he was kind and gentle yet strong. I live in the UK, but got to go to the James Dean Festival in Indiana in 2016. It was a holiday of a lifetime and I doubt I'll ever afford to go back. The festival was fabulous, and I loved the two museums/shops dedicated to him. A few years ago, I did an online matchmaker thing. I typed in all my boyfirends over the years, and we only go 12% at the most!! I typed in lots of my favourite movie stars and singers, and they didn't match - then I typed in me and Jimmy and we got 100% match!!!!! All you did was type in yours and their names, dates of birth and where they were born.
I was mesmerised by him too from the age of about 13 in 1980 when I first saw east of Eden, I was completely blown away, beyond belief that he died aged 25.
I totally understand you! I have the same love affair with River Phoenix and James Dean, together. But I discovered James Dean first, at the age of 15, back in 2009. I'm from Rio de Janeiro, so a lot of people here doesn't even know James Dean or even River. So I was very lonely in my tast of movies and actors. I spent my whole teenage years loving them almost by myself, I only shared with my parents and some friends. But they don't love James the way I do or know his life the way I do. So if you feel lonely about loving him back in the Uk, can you imagine me here in Brasil? It is very difficult. I'm happy I can use technology to make videos and also make friends that love the things I do - just like you. Thank you for your comment!
@@pauldickinson6943 I discovered Jimmy when I was 15, back in 2009. I'm from Rio de Janeiro, so most of people here don't even know who James Dean was. James Dean: The Sensitive Rebel With a Golden Heart. He speaks to those who yearn to be understood and accepted. I don't say "spoke" because his effect on the world is still felt today. In his acting, he perfectly portrayed the sensitive young man looking for acceptance, love and understanding. RIP, Jimmy. Thank you for helping us feel less alone
He was in search for something in a soul level, that I believe he found, in the end of his life and after his dead, on a spiritual level. The thing is that he spoke a lot just with his eyes...he didn't had to use a lot lf words to touch people. He was too much for this world. Like the little prince, he went back to his universe, full of stars and light. I will love him forever ❤
@@missmidnightlover agreed. He was always discovering himself too and was making plans for his future. For many, self discovery is a lifelong thing. He finally found the light of day at the end of his life and his tragic death reunited him with his mother. I will always be a fan of James Dean. Yep you're right. His eyes told us a lot about his turmoil. He had very kind yet sad looking blue eyes. No actor before or since him has touched so many lives with only a few roles. He was a sensitive genius. RIP, Jimmy.
Yes! For most of us its a lifelong thing, for him was only 24 years. He was ahead of his time so I think it was expected in someway that he wouldn't live like, 100 years. He had a lot of sadness in his eyes, I think the reason was the loss of his mom. So, I think that death was not a bad thing for him, at all. He meet his mom again and, because of his death and his personality that he became this icon that he is today.
@@missmidnightlover MsMidnitelover I agree with you. There was so much going on beneath the surface with Jimmy. Even when he smiled, you could see he had kind yet sad looking blue eyes. I agree. I don't think he expected to live long. He missed his mum his entire life and never seemed to get over her death. Elvis was similar and never recovered from his mum's death. George Michael had the same turmoil from losing his mum. Jimmy had no death wish and was not obsessed with death. He didn't want to die, but I don't think he feared passing away. His death partly made him a legend, but he had so much talent too and had the ability to feel other people's emotions like no other actor before or since him. Yeah he could be rude and moody at times, but so can everyone else, but Jimmy was a very sensitive person beneath it all. He gave so much emotion to his roles and that's partly why he clicks with so many. Similar to Elvis: his sensitivity came across in his work.

There's a song called "Elvis, Marilyn and James Dean", that the lyrics talk about how only these 3 people will remain immortal to the world forever. They had something that the most of us don't. Some kind of light!
Me too. Its so strange to think that a gifted, unique person like he was, something so rare back then and nowadays, could die so young. He would do so many things for society...but like the song, he lived with enough intensity to know how life is beautiful. And I think he got satisfied somehow. 💙
@@missmidnightlover hate to admit this, but I am sure you'll understand considering my age... I don't have what's app. I only have my FB account and type in on IM there. I have REALLY old cell phone. I mean Ancient., to the point that I am embarrassed to let people see it. Last week I was at doctor and girl at desk said, "omg, is that one of those slide phones? I haven't seen one of those in years!" EVERYONE who sees it makes a comment! Oh well, it still works and it suits my needs. But, I suppose this is the Disadvantage. It does limit me now in how I can communicate privately with people. Sorry! But, IM via FB or plain old phone or private emails is my only way to communicate!
I just watched your beautiful tribute again. Probably shouldn't have, just brought me to tears...again. people always say how he never got over his mother's death. But when you think about it, he didn't outlive her by very long. He really didn't have the time to fully come to terms with that major trauma. I mean, he felt she died so young. It's ironic that, yes she did, in fact, die very young, but she still had more years than he did. It doesn't get much sadder than that.
I think all his emotional problems were because the death of his mother. I read somewhere that he didn't die right after the crash, that the doctors thought he kind of gave up of life at the ambulance, because he had chances but he didn't fight for life. I kinda believe because maybe he saw his mother or thought that maybe he could find her, and every child think of their mother when they are sick, imagine feeling the pain that he did. Maybe he choose a death with his mother than a life without her. And we can never judge him for that. 💙
@@missmidnightlover yes. And if there is an afterlife and it's true that we reconnect with those we loved during our lifetime and that they are waiting for us, then all I can imagine is this... When that Porsche collided with that Ford, the first heart to break was his mother's. I am certain that was not what she had hoped for her son.
@@missmidnightlover this is definitely something we can speculate about for all time and never find the answer, but I, personally don't believe in coincidence, so I can't help but wonder if he was taken when he was in order to protect him from something far worse. Everyone assumes he would've gone on to greater things, but we really don't know that for certain. Maybe what we all view as a tragedy was really a blessing. The truth, as we know for certain, is his death not only cemented his legacy, but it also gave his family financial security and kept the small farm town of Fairmount, Indiana alive when other towns have failed. Since James Dean clearly adored both, I would like to believe that he feels it was worth the sacrifice. Add to that the fact that, whatever we may think of his "hobby " , he is quoted as saying that the only time he felt truly whole was when he was racing his cars. So, I guess there is some comfort in knowing that he died doing what he loved.
So, here I am, once again and, also, once again, in tears! Gotta stop this! I look at him and wonder if his mother knows what a beautiful man he grew up to be. She would have been so proud of him. No, to just say he was "beautiful " doesn't quite capture it. I don't know if there is a word for the gift he had and let for us. He had an "aura" about him? I don't know what word I am looking for or if there even IS one. But, whatever it was, he had IT. and no one else has ever come close.
I totally agree with you, but i think that this aura of being one if kind type of person scared a lot of people around him, i actually bet that a lot of people, even Brando, had jealous of his originality.
@@missmidnightlover absolutely. It's been said that when Dean died we lost 2 actors because Brando got lazy. Had Dean lived Brando would never had let him steal the red carpet. On the other hand, I think Brando respected Dean as an actor once he saw East of Eden. I don't think he did before that and looked at dean as some nut case kid who wanted to be Him. When he saw Eden, he realized Dean was a force to be reckoned with. At least he saw Eden when it was released and Dean lived to hear his idol compliment him, even if Brando only went to see it because of his friend Kazan. Clift, on the other hand, refused to see it. When he finally did after Dean's death, he felt terribly guilty over how horribly he treated Dean.
@@missmidnightlover may I ask why you chose that particular picture for the very end ? My interpretation is... there is the crash scene, then switch to final pic. Between his closed eyes and facial expression, I get the feeling he is thinking, " Geez, what have I done?"
@@sharonzimmerman5558 I choose because represents the change of dimension for him, he was finally at peace. But for sure waking up and opening his eyes in another dimension.
Trust me, girls, mi am much older than you two but James Dean was still before my time. Whatever gift he had just continues on generation after generation. There are plenty of us out there, which is why these tribute videos are still so popular.
@@sharonzimmerman5558 that makes me very happy and make me feel warm. So glad that other people agree with us about the magic that Jimmy had. I feel that whatever this magic he had is missing in all kind of humans today. And i dont know why. But its missing for sure. Most people dont have it.
@@missmidnightlover agree 100%. I think that's the very reason his legacy remains so strong. Younger generations like yourself have the insight and sensitivity to realize that what you're seeking...truth and authenticity in today's culture just isn't available. James Dean wasn't perfect, by far, But he was Real and authentic. That shows in every photo of him. Nobody is looking for saints, just Real People. Then you come across a picture of James Dean, and you know you have found it.
@@missmidnightlover P.S. Don't forget, even though I am older, James Dean was still before my time. I was 10 months old when he died. So, guess at least I Can say I was here the same time as he was, however short.
what a big challenge for the life..you are alone. nobody in your life ..mum dead dad absent . And you are face to face with difficulties of life :((((((
I just thought, that maybe he wanted to stay in this great love of god, what i ve been told, is waiting for us. Was'nt that what he, and not we also, was looking for, with all his life, the (lost) love. ♥️❤️ And i feel that he gives me love, he cares for me, by loving him. When there seems to be no love left for me on this planet, him i' ll always love. So he' s like a bond with god, holding me. And i am not the only one.
Omg! I feel totally the same. Yes, he was looking for a kind of love and happiness that we, as humans, can't find in this our world. It's just in the spiritual world that we will find it. I'm totally sure that whatever he's been living now, he is waaaay more happy than us. His friendship it's the best friendship I have in my life.
His mechanic was the one who convinced him he needed to drive the Porsche Spyder that Dean named 'The Little Bastard' (Jack L. Warner refered to Dean as the Little bastard) to the race track because Dean had not driven it much. And Competition Motors the Porsche Dealership in Hollywood that sold the Spyder to Dean made him hire the mechanic Rulf Wutherich a trained Porsche mechanic, otherwise they would not of sold him the car as they were not too many available on the world. Dean seemed to have an old soul, he also in many pictures to look much older than someone in their early 20's.

This maybe the best video I've seen for him & I've seen a LOT!! A lot of these pics I've not seen before, you did a great job. It was good to see him laugh. Thanks for sharing. God Bless you 💕💕
You have no idea of how this comment made me happy! I feel so honored to be able to capture his soul well, that's make me a good fan. I'm happy you liked and I will make more videos about Jimmy. He inspires me so much!
@@missmidnightlover 😊
Gorgeous handsome man, great actor!!!!! Love you forever!!!!!! So sad that you were taken so young, what wonderful films you would have made!!!!!!
I love him so much like that too 💜💜💜💜
A DAMN LEGEND
For sure! he's unforgettable!
There's a song called "Elvis, Marilyn and James Dean", that the lyrics talk about how only these 3 people will remain immortal to the world forever. They had something that the most of us don't. Some kind of light!
My son looks like James Dean. Pray for a longer life
Show us a photo then...
Crazy that he was only 24 years old. The brooding persona that he projected in photos is of a man much older than todays generation.
I think he was older in spirit
Beautifully done💕
His smile and laughter alone are enough.
I agree! What a warm and amazing laugh he had.
Nice compilation , James Dean was a king!
thank you! I'm just starting to make videos now,and it's very good to know that someone like it.
The Video was insane❤🎉
Greetings from Germany
JAMES DEAN LIVED HIS LIFE IN THE FAST LANE
Great tribute. Thank you for this. Song is heartbreaking in relation to him. Can't help but think of all he missed
Me too. Its so strange to think that a gifted, unique person like he was, something so rare back then and nowadays, could die so young. He would do so many things for society...but like the song, he lived with enough intensity to know how life is beautiful. And I think he got satisfied somehow. 💙
@@missmidnightlover yes. Have to believe that whatever his purpose, he fulfilled it.
@@missmidnightlover well, my PM worked with Alex. I did a test. If there is any way you can do that, I would be happy to communicate with you.
Hi, Sharon! We can talk to each other on whatsapp, what you think? I almost dont log in at facebook nowadays. If you want, i can give you my number!
Amazing work!!! This went directly to my favorites.
I love the music.
Love this thank you James Dean is so gorgeous love him forever 🙏🙏❤️
We will love him forever! 😍😍 thank you for enjoying the video!

The rebel star*****100%*
That was truly beautiful. Thank you!
Thank you !
Thank you so much. It was great! Never get enough. R.I.P. James Dean
Im glad u like it! He is timeless.
It's
ironic that, yes she did, in fact, die very young, but she still had more years than he did.
Life is a Highway
Yes..nice song bout this star n spirit inside me..love u jd

I love this song
What a amazing personality 😍
He had an amazing personality! 😍♥️
Love the video
@@missmidnightlover That's great!!! When will you be making a new one? Did you make one for the upcoming anniversary?

Me too! I'm only 25 and i love Jimmy since my 15! ❤❤❤ im from another era, just like u, youre not alone! :)
I love James deans

He was so handsome
He was! Very beautiful our Jimmy ♥️🥰😍
Hi everyone, I'm wondering, you guys would like to see more James Dean videos made by me?
Yes!!! Please
Yes!!
Yes
God i love him
I just thought, that maybe he wanted to stay in this great love of god, what i ve been told, is waiting for us. Was'nt that what he, and not we also, was looking for, with all his life, the (lost) love. ♥️❤️
And i feel that he gives me love, he cares for me, by loving him.
What a lovely song. Was it written in homage to Jimmy or just out on CD commercially.?
What is the voice saying at the end? Also who is it please?
James Dean was a special talent. As good as anyone.
R.I.P.🙏❤️.x
Omg 😍😍😍
That's my reaction everytime I look at James Dean! ♥️

they speak for him! he does not need to use words to express himself, in any situation
Jimmy continues to cast a spell- after Brando Clift and Newman Hav all faded. Its his imperisible magic. Though we wanted more of him we Hav to be grateful for what he gave- quality not quantity
Thats so true. They all are had bigger careers and complete lives but Jimmy still shines more than them. Why you think this happens?
Except BRANDO.BRANDO means HOLLYWOOD.
