A cool 1k card game, perfect for friends and families. But here's a suggestion: if Uno Amalgam will be themed after chemistry, I suggest renaming the "One in a Million" card to something like the "Hitting a picobarn" card. A barn is an actual unit of measurement used in high-energy physics, and it is used to measure the probability of interaction between small particles (according to Wikipedia). It fits both the card's mechanic and the game's aesthetic pretty well, while also being humorous. Yes, the name of the unit does come from the phrase "Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn."
If you were to play a game of Uno with a completely unique version every day for an entire year, you wouldn't have played more Uno than this man has added to the amalgam I'm scared
Loved the vid! Hope you don’t mind the back seating TOO much! You mentioned effects that basically are more powerful versions of other effects. Have you considered marking the stronger versions as effect+? Like, say there is an effect that cancels just base UNO effects, and one that blocks all effects. The first could be Block, with “Blocks Draw 4 cards, skips and reverses.” And the second is Block+, so it says just below “Plus: Blocks all card effects.”
I’m glad you liked the video! Also I have indeed considered assigning a system like this to the cards. Ultimately it will end up being whatever looks best and is easiest to understand 😂
Now you need to add UNO Oppenheimer with its wild "become death. Destroy of worlds" card that causes all players to discard all but one card of their choice.
24:19 That effect is getting farmed in games with 5 or more players when you can have effects that take a few minutes to resolve...someone can easily have to hold a pose 20 minutes plus
A quick Google search says that there's 651 different versions of UNO as of now, so you're nearly two thirds of the way through them all. Really puts all this progress into perspective.
I can't believe Mattel made an UNO wild card that references one of the stupidest moments in the Star Wars films and made it a really interesting card. Props to them I guess. (No props for the endless CAMs though.) Gonna cross my fingers and say that you might finish the game this year at the rate you're going. I have no reason to believe this, but I'm hoping. I know someone who likes this series and said it inspired him to make their own game. It would be cool to play the final version of Chemicards with him sooner or later.
I know right? XD Also I hope so as well honestly. That's my plan. It may not happen though. XD You'll have this game in your hands as soon as it's done! And I'm glad I was able to inspire that person you know! That's awesome!
Would love a quick reminder at the beginning of the classification section of how many versions have been added so far/how many there will be after the episode. Just to make it easier to know how close we are to the end of the journey.
Colorblindness support could be done with patterned card backgrounds - for example red cards could be checkered, blue cards could have stripes, yellow could have polka-dots, etc.
ALWAYS excited for a new episode of this! i found this series about a few weeks ago and took a couple days to finsih watching all of it when i was done, you were premiering a new episode i watched a little bit of it on my break then watched the rest when i got home later excited to see this new episoded and hope the uno amalgam does well!
Maybe you could use symbols of the suits deck (the heart, spade and such) as (some of) the color-blind-color indicators? Since suits decks are kinda cropping up a lot in this.
Y'know, when you said you had to knock over a discard pile to trigger the penalty of tip mechanics, I thought that everyone would just be careful with their cards. Things are starting to become very clear, however, that it's going to be nearly impossible to not knock over discards as the game continues.
Among the list of uno-esque games not officially sponsored by Mattel that won't be in Chemicards you mentioned at the beginning, you should also bring up Tycoon, a card game that was made for the jrpg Persona 5 Royal.

@@noelletheradcat Yeah, UNO Street Fighter would be more annoying, because at least "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is a proper English phrase and not just a bunch of adjectives put together.

my one suggestion is an aesthetic one, but going along with the chemical theme I think it makes sense to call one color group "acids" and the other "bases" or not, it's your game and you have the final call here.
I think the colourblind indicators sould go something like Red - Triangle Orange - Octagon Yellow - Diamond Green - Hexagon Blue - Circle Purple - Square Pink - Pentagon Grey - X White - Five Pointed Star Brown - Malformed Polygon Wild - Eight Pointed Star (optional)
putting 2 kind of star feels wrong and confusing I'd say a W would be more fitting for wild car as it would be the only letter wich would give it a spécial feeling

Here's some uno versions/cameo games and what they could add to Chemicards. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Uno versions. Uno 30th Anniversary. (Anniversary Wild Card Rule.) This card can be played anytime on any color or number. The player gives their entire hand to any other player except for one card and says, "Happy Anniversary!" That player then calls "Uno," and changes the color of play just like "Wild." Counts for 100 points. Uno Junior Move. (Move modifier.) Uno Madness. (Has a Overload like mechanic.) Uno Batman 2005. (The Joker's 3 Wild Card.) Draw 3 cards. You may distribute these cards in any manner (i.e. 3 cards to 1 person; 1 card to 3 people; etc.) Uno Batman 2012. (The Joker Wild Card.) Draw 4 cards. You may distribute these cards in any manner (i.e. 4 cards to 1 person; 1 card to 4 people; etc.) Uno Disney. (Sorcerer's Apprentice Wild Card Rule) When this card is played, the next player draws 1 card, the following player draws 2 cards (increasing one card as it goes to the next player), until every player except the person who plays this card has drawn cards. The player who played this card then chooses the color of play and play resumes. Uno Disney 100. (Wild Mickey Movie Madness Card Rule.) Choose another player. You will then choose a movie from Disney’s first 100 years. The player you chose has to name four characters from the movie you chose. If they correctly name four characters, nothing happens. If they are unable to name four characters from the movie, they have to draw four cards from the Draw Pile. Uno Sofia the First. (Cute 'n' Cuddly Wild Card Rule) When a Draw 4 is played against you, use this card to block the effect. You then choose the color of play and take another turn. Uno Pixar's Coco. (Remember Me Wild Card Rule) When this card is played, the next player must identify the two cards directly underneath this card without looking at them. If the player cannot remember, they draw 3 cards. Uno Platica Polinesia. (Token modifier and ¡Mira! Wild Card Rule) All other players must draw 3 cards unless they have the 10th anniversary token in front of them. Uno Texas. (Last Stand Wild Card Rule) You may use this card at any time during the game to switch hands with any player who only has one card left. The player using this card then chooses a color and play resumes where it was before the Last Stand card was played. Uno New York. (Skip Everyone Wild Card Rule) Skip everyone and take another turn immediately after playing this card. Uno Sock Monkey. (Hat Wild Card Rule) Every other player must show a red card or draw 3 cards. Uno Willie Wishers. (Kindness Wild Card Rule) Choose a color. All players get to discard one card of that color. That color is also the color of play. Uno Vacation. (Check Two Cards.) When played you can immediately play another card of the same color, a Wild or Wild Draw 4 Card, the wild color called must match the color of the Check Two Card played. The Check Two Card can't be played without a card of the same color. If the Check Two Card is the last card in a players hand you must draw. If the card just drawn matches the color of the Check Two Card, you may directly play the Check Two Card, say UNO, and play the matc hing color card to complete the game. Uno Speed Racer (Racer X Wild Card Rule.) Flip cards over from the top of the draw pile until a number card is revealed. The next player must play a card from his hand that is one number higher than the revealed card (e.g. a 5 on top of a 4). When the pile shows a 9, the next player must play a 0 card. Players continue playing cards in this manner until a player cannot play the required card. That player must then draw 3 cards. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Related to Uno Skip-Bo Mod. (New use for the D6) Skip-Bo Masters. (Coin Modifier.) Skip-Bo Jackpot. (Coin Cards.) Phase 10 Masters, German edition. (Double Number Cards and Wild Double Number Cards.) Qwitch, 2008. (Plus Card, Minus Card, Equal Card and letter Cards B through H.) Low Down. (-5 Wild Card.) Rage, 1983. (Rage Cards.) Sting. (Take It Back Cards.) Vantage. (Lose One Cards.) Stun. (Stun Cards.)
9:25 I love that in this game such an overpowered card can actually doom the user of it. Sure instant uno, but if you give out the wrong card to the wrong player your hand gets swapped or you get forced to draw 10 or something.
The "from the sewers wild card" is gonna be most likely an immediate game over, since there's 10 colours needed and the mercy rule is in place at 25 cards
I thought the 99 card was chaotic enough but having a *fraction* is just another level of insanity. Speaking of the 99, drawing that during Oogie Boogie is certain to be funny.
I'm not sure if it would work, but I feel like an episode covering exclusively special cards that exist in more than one uno version would be cool (plus it would cover a lot of uno versions).
for colorblind support: blank already has colorblind support (remember? that uno-like legacy game i commented about before) and i think is really good. basically, each color is also assigned a basic shape (square, triangle, circle, etc.) and that shape is placed under the number on the card
the best friends card is pretty straightforward. you call out a number, everyone around the table in order discards one of that number (including you) then play continues as if you had played a regular wildcard.
I think at this point I need to comment when ever hotwheels the animated show is referenced. But I really feel you in this episode. Like the reveal of the guys dad was in the purple car with no more episodes?? I was so sad. I read the plot of what it would have been, I was so desperate.
at this point the CAMs are going to be the hardest thing to include because we're going to be fighting Yugioh over the amount of information on any given card
3:48 No you should 100% incorporate Mao into the game. Mao’s main gimmick is that you are not allowed to tell any new player the rules of the game, and they have to figure it out themselves as they play. Every accidental infringement of any rule requires them to pick up cards. That would be absolutely hilarious here
Will be hopping into the discord server for sure. I sincerely hope there's some kind of meet up like the Yu-Gi-Oh nerds do where we rent out a convention space and play as many games as possible before it closes for the night (less than one).
Dang, wish i got around to finally watching this series through fully sooner, i basically predicted that Batman/Superman card split with my suggestion of making half the colors represent Basic chemicals, and half the cards represent Acidic/Alkaline colors, and that was before they had a mechanical use! In a mere couple of weeks i went from being unaware there was even a Dos to accidentally predicting mechanics 200 Uno versions ahead of where we were at, the Amalgam is absorbing more then just Uno versions, its drawing all of us in as well!
16:50 when was Planes 2014 eliminated? If it's true that the card is a "Draw 4 nullifier", then I don't remember us having a card that's just that on its own... 27:50 oh, this might be awkward. Because there are actually two different versions of this set. I haven't yet found out if they're mechanically different, but I'll update you when I find out. 29:15 I would argue here, and say the rule should allow all numbers between 0 and 23. That way, none of these numbers are unique, but there's more variety. 32:23 ouch indeed! That's terrifying. Maybe you can change the rule to "only the 4 colors shows on this wild card count for this mechanic" ? Cuz if it's all 10 colors - that sounds insane. Wonderful episode, thank you again for all your efforts.
True, but we do have cards that have the effect, and there are so many immunity-based mechanics that nullifying a draw four is a little redundant at this point lol. Sounds good! That's fair! It may be a bit too powerful yes XD
@@MassacresMansion I still think having a stand-alone card that's just a "Draw 4 nullifier" is valid. Plus, according to the UnoVariations description, you also get to take another turn after using it. So using it as a nullifier, AND taking another turn afterwards - that's different enough to be included.

i think all of the colors is more dilapidating for the affected player, possibly even eliminating them. on one hand i agree, it would read as essentially "remove that player from the game, but at the same time, that's just chemicards man
Maybe. 🤔
@@Sakura_Sabre i think it's less to dampen the potential damage caused from the added colors ( they still mean you're more likely to draw more cards because of the lower chance to pull the specific colors off the top, after all ) and more as a cute nod to its origin
since. y'know. red, blue, orange, and purple are the colors of the turtles' masks
I'm in favor of it being every color since it's funnier
@@F3XT yeah same
It grows more powerful everytime and i can only imagine how funny and chaotic this becomes. theres gonna be so much uno in one game of uno
Indeed 😈
Remember, The Amalgam can't be truly completed without confirmation about Fat Albert UNO
Did we ever find out if that one had a unique rule? 😂
@@MassacresMansionit has a Superhero card, no idea what it does though
30:42
I interpreted that as
Player 1 plays the card and calls out a number
Player 2 may then discard a card with that number (without triggering effects), if they can
Player 3 may do the same, then player 4, etc, until every player has had the opportunity
Then lastly, player 1 (the one that originally played the card) may do the same, regardless of if anyone else was able to successfully discard any card
That might be it!
Imagine if Mattel watching the Amalgm and taking notes and gonna make there own version of this
if they did do that, they'd probably take one of two approaches:
1 - the nintendo route: annihilate Massacre with legal junk like they did to that one Mario Battle Royale before Mario 35
2 - the mojang route: hire him
It would cost them so much money to get the rights to everything again. 😂
@@carbonmonteroybut there should be no actual copyrighted stuff in the final game, so they can’t do that.

We’re gonna need more prayers!

omg it's so cool you mentioned TAKI!! I mean I always knew it's not going to be included, but it's cool to be acknowledged ^_^
😎👌
After this episode, part of me wants a special button in the hypothetical collectors edition that, when pressed, says "Eliminated."
Truly an item for all the bug lovers, that serves no purpose beyond telling people they're out of the game.
That sounds so funny 😂
Yeah, don't take it too seriously as a suggestion! Would definitely be funny though.
So I came here from the choopo video, and I've spent over 7 hours today watching all this. And I am now realizing two things. 1 holy f*** I wasted my day today (joking this is honestly a cool project) and two this guy is only halfway done. All in all I am now fully invested, subscribed, And brainwashed into liking this. Damn you mister mansion!
Hehe! I gotchu! Get brainwashed!!! 😂
In all seriousness thank you for subscribing and thank you for taking the time to watch the whole series! I appreciate it!
So true XD
Also that's so wild! I'll have to consider it!
If you were to play a game of Uno with a completely unique version every day for an entire year, you wouldn't have played more Uno than this man has added to the amalgam
I'm scared
😈
If only XD
24:19 That effect is getting farmed in games with 5 or more players when you can have effects that take a few minutes to resolve...someone can easily have to hold a pose 20 minutes plus
Indeed XD
A quick Google search says that there's 651 different versions of UNO as of now, so you're nearly two thirds of the way through them all. Really puts all this progress into perspective.
Indeed it does! It’s really exciting!
I can't believe Mattel made an UNO wild card that references one of the stupidest moments in the Star Wars films and made it a really interesting card. Props to them I guess. (No props for the endless CAMs though.)
Gonna cross my fingers and say that you might finish the game this year at the rate you're going. I have no reason to believe this, but I'm hoping.
I know someone who likes this series and said it inspired him to make their own game. It would be cool to play the final version of Chemicards with him sooner or later.
I know right? XD
Also I hope so as well honestly. That's my plan. It may not happen though. XD
You'll have this game in your hands as soon as it's done! And I'm glad I was able to inspire that person you know! That's awesome!
Would love a quick reminder at the beginning of the classification section of how many versions have been added so far/how many there will be after the episode.
Just to make it easier to know how close we are to the end of the journey.
I’ll consider it!
I had a huge smile on my face when you referenced my metronome comment.
Thanks for providing quality content
You’re welcome! 😎
I actually did find this video while I was eating my supper so the movie marathon aspect is extremely fitting
Perfect!
Colorblindness support could be done with patterned card backgrounds - for example red cards could be checkered, blue cards could have stripes, yellow could have polka-dots, etc.
That’s a good solution!
ALWAYS excited for a new episode of this!
i found this series about a few weeks ago and took a couple days to finsih watching all of it
when i was done, you were premiering a new episode
i watched a little bit of it on my break then watched the rest when i got home later
excited to see this new episoded and hope the uno amalgam does well!
I appreciate your support! Thank you for taking the time to watch the whole series!
Maybe you could use symbols of the suits deck (the heart, spade and such) as (some of) the color-blind-color indicators? Since suits decks are kinda cropping up a lot in this.
The other 6 could be the chess pieces!
Shapes are definitely a possibility!
I came here conveniently 69 minutes before the premiere. The universe is telling me this episode may be special. Perhaps the best one yet.
🤯
Y'know, when you said you had to knock over a discard pile to trigger the penalty of tip mechanics, I thought that everyone would just be careful with their cards. Things are starting to become very clear, however, that it's going to be nearly impossible to not knock over discards as the game continues.
Indeed 😈
"Uno Wish" isnt "lazy", but consistent with the movie
Based 😂
Among the list of uno-esque games not officially sponsored by Mattel that won't be in Chemicards you mentioned at the beginning, you should also bring up Tycoon, a card game that was made for the jrpg Persona 5 Royal.
It also appears in a bunch of other Japanese media too. I first learned it existed when I was watching Fruit’s Basket.
I’ll add it to the list 😂
50 versions in one video, damn I adore this series. Amazing content as always, keep up the fantastic work and can't wait for the next one

Funnily enough, I'm pretty sure "UNO Peanuts: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" does have a slightly longer name than "UNO Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix".
🤯
actually, the peanuts one is 12 syllables while the street fighter one is 14, so it's still a little longer lol

I'm actually quite happy to hear about the triforce extending to all multiples of 3. When I saw that in the previous episode it bugged me a small amount, but I just took it knowing how many rules there are. But divisible by 3 is less complicated, so that's a good change.
Glad you like the change!
no way uno amalgam movie reveal
Woah XD
my one suggestion is an aesthetic one, but going along with the chemical theme I think it makes sense to call one color group "acids" and the other "bases"
or not, it's your game and you have the final call here.
That's a neat idea!
The acids could be Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue, and some other color because they have all the color powers
I think the colourblind indicators sould go something like
Red - Triangle
Orange - Octagon
Yellow - Diamond
Green - Hexagon
Blue - Circle
Purple - Square
Pink - Pentagon
Grey - X
White - Five Pointed Star
Brown - Malformed Polygon
Wild - Eight Pointed Star (optional)
putting 2 kind of star feels wrong and confusing I'd say a W would be more fitting for wild car as it would be the only letter wich would give it a spécial feeling
@@Avelia-videofr You can tell the difference between a ⭐ and a ✴️ can you

@@adjacent_dollar yeah ig. I just thibk that not having a special symbole for wild card feels weird

Here's some uno versions/cameo games and what they could add to Chemicards.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Uno versions.
(Move modifier.)
Uno Madness.
(Has a Overload like mechanic.)
Uno Batman 2005.
(The Joker's 3 Wild Card.) Draw 3 cards. You may distribute these cards in any manner (i.e. 3 cards to 1 person; 1 card to 3 people; etc.)
Uno Batman 2012.
(The Joker Wild Card.) Draw 4 cards. You may distribute these cards in any manner (i.e. 4 cards to 1 person; 1 card to 4 people; etc.)
Uno Disney.
(Check Two Cards.)
When played you can immediately play another card of the same color, a Wild or Wild Draw 4 Card, the wild color called must match the color of the Check Two Card played.

The 5th acceleracers came out. Hand over your soul.
It most certainly did not XD
I just realized how hard it would be to sell the idea of this game without the uno branding
I imagine "from the creator of Massacards" might help

"Why does this game have thousands of cards, a novel of a rulebook, a full dice set, and come in a gigantic box?" "Well, funny story..."
HEYYYYY my version finally got added! Let's goooo!!

I thought the 99 card was chaotic enough but having a *fraction* is just another level of insanity. Speaking of the 99, drawing that during Oogie Boogie is certain to be funny.
Heck yes 😂
Its a shame we got so many of the abnormal colors in this episodes editions, and yet only 1 actually had a mechanic using it
Some colors are simply less used 🤷♂️
I'm not sure if it would work, but I feel like an episode covering exclusively special cards that exist in more than one uno version would be cool (plus it would cover a lot of uno versions).
That would be so cool honestly 😂
for colorblind support: blank already has colorblind support (remember? that uno-like legacy game i commented about before) and i think is really good. basically, each color is also assigned a basic shape (square, triangle, circle, etc.) and that shape is placed under the number on the card
Shapes are definitely a possibility!
the best friends card is pretty straightforward. you call out a number, everyone around the table in order discards one of that number (including you) then play continues as if you had played a regular wildcard.
👌😎
Man, this is such as comfortable TH-cam series, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!
This game is terrifying.
Thank you :)
The 400th one should be a big one…

I’ll consider it 😂
The sacrifices are complete, the amalgam grows, praise the amalgam
It grows!!!
I think at this point I need to comment when ever hotwheels the animated show is referenced. But I really feel you in this episode. Like the reveal of the guys dad was in the purple car with no more episodes?? I was so sad. I read the plot of what it would have been, I was so desperate.
I’ve lived most of my life without knowing the ending to Acceleracers. It’s truly sad.
at this point the CAMs are going to be the hardest thing to include because we're going to be fighting Yugioh over the amount of information on any given card
True 😂
3:48 No you should 100% incorporate Mao into the game. Mao’s main gimmick is that you are not allowed to tell any new player the rules of the game, and they have to figure it out themselves as they play. Every accidental infringement of any rule requires them to pick up cards. That would be absolutely hilarious here
I agree it would be hilarious, but Mao is not Mattel official 😂
Will be hopping into the discord server for sure. I sincerely hope there's some kind of meet up like the Yu-Gi-Oh nerds do where we rent out a convention space and play as many games as possible before it closes for the night (less than one).
Glad I could convince you to join! Also omg that convention idea sounds incredible. XD
Imagine the amalgam if amalgams: All unique card sets ever printed, united in one.
Oh boy XD
@@MassacresMansion In case you couldn't tell, this was a joke. 🤣
Learning about Uno is all part of the fun! 😂
@@MassacresMansion Like you said, cards can be weaker than each other.
