    Another great vid Goughie. Love your no fluff commentary and wonderful photos. You cover everything I am in interested in whether it is camera gear or when visiting a place, what to photograph. I also like that you cover recommended things to do and see, and of course food and drink. I hope your channel continues to grow. You deserve it.

    What a beautiful city, this one was already in my travel list, but now I had to raise it's priority :D
    Great photos as always, and excellent recommendations on the scenic spots.
    Am impressed with the M10's dynamic range, the sunrise photos had buildings and sky evenly visible.

    Been there, done that, shot on a Nikon D7200 at the time ( sorry that I didn't bring my lighter mf3 Lumix instead)
    I found a telephoto lens and light travel tripod essential, for shots from the Castle at night and sunrise etc
    The Chain Bridge was open of course 📷👍

    Gotta love those 50 'Lux red flares! Great choice of lenses, though I personally would've been missing the 35 focal length.

      Starting to wonder if 21/24 + 35mm is my preference

    • @carlosmcse
      @carlosmcse ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Goughie in the end rangefinders are about getting our own perspective on things. I primarily shoot 50mm. I could take 50mm everywhere. Bresson shot the whole world in 50mm. So did Erwitt.
      Leica Ms aren’t so good for generic travel photos. 50 is great. 28 is great. But I’ll be missing 35mm. Or maybe 21mm.
      It gets crazy thinking about it this way. For this, I would much rather take a Nikon and a 24-70f2.8.
      You don’t see National Geographic photographers messing around with a little rangefinder. Just a good camera and a 24-70 is all you need.

    Interesting mix of photo vid and travel vid. I'll just add my two cents. If there's one thing my travels around the glove have taught me it is that 4 days is nowhere near enough for a city like Budapest, nor would be 6 or 7 days. The longer you stay, the broader and the deeper and the more nuanced - and rewarding - your experience will be. Just when you think you've explored it all, you find more to delve into. I've spent months, even a year or more in a good number of cities and could easily have stayed even longer but for expiring visas ! Drop the tourist attractions asap (4 days max) and start just 'being there,' a day at a time, until you know it's time. It has become a part of you, for life. An excellent little book I've been recommending for the last twenty years on 'deep travel' is: Vagabonding - An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-term World Travel / Rolf Potts. Still in print. Check it out !

      Unfortunately, a full time job stands in the way of staying longer! Budapest is definitely somewhere I’d like to spend a few months lovely place!

    Great travelog and some beautiful photos! About the 28 and 50mm lens setup, would it work to keep them on two separate bodies and have them both with you while on walkabout? For example, one body with a shoulder strap and one with a wrist strap? That would save the hassle of frequent lens swopping. Similar to some street photographers who choose to shoot with both a Ricoh GR III and a GR IIIx at the same time. I'm considering the same approach with two Fujifilm X-E3 bodies and the 18mm f2 and 35mm f1.4. Does that make sense?

    • @Goughie
      @Goughie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it would, I didn’t have all that much film though so it only worked for so long! I also had the added complication of a 3rd camera to record the video

    28&50. There’s no better pair. The 35 is okay for everyday casual stuff, but if you’re going on a trip; the 28&50 combo is so much better. The 35 is just not wide enough or narrow enough. 28 is the new 35.

    • @vproven
