    Part 24: • Wack100: J Roc Took a ...
    --------
Wack100 shared his opinions about the loss of rapper Nipsey Hussle and the posthumous fame he gained. Wack100 suggested that the events leading up to Hussle’s death were part of a normal street activity and were caused by an alleged snitch accusation by Hussle to Eric Holder. He also revealed an unheard detail that the two reportedly had a fight a week before. About Hussle's fame, Wack100 claimed that Hussle became more famous after his death, with certain songs gaining more rotation, which he deemed as fake outrage and bandwagon jumping. Wack100 critiqued the music industry, claiming that they did not give Hussle the recognition he deserved while he was alive. He did, however, distinguish between Hussle's influence in the community and music, saying his legend status was more in his community work than his musical outputs.

Him dying made people want to listen to his music and find out who he was. Him gaining more fans after his death is a great thing, so I don’t know why people keep complaining about “bandwaggoners” when they’re supporting Nip which ultimately keeps his children and family fed and paid.

I first heard one song of his with the Game in 2008. Heard his features with YG years later and then became a fan when I downloaded his album the marathon in 2012. Been a massive fan since! Let me tell you, even when he had songs on GTA - nobody was deep into him until he was killed in 2019. Band wagon fans. I even had Slim 400 on Snapchat in 2013/14 and would ask him about artists in LA and he’d respond (slim was a cool dude).

Mmm, I began following Nipsey’s journey in 2008-09. I loved his authenticity and the wisdom that he would oftentimes spill in his interviews. I loved that he was Los Angeles through and through, he embodied the Los Angeles walk and talk flawlessly in my opinion. I did and still do listen to Nip but his motivational spirit and forward-thinking outlook is what captivated me the most. Nip was literally one of the people who helped me to keep going in my own life when things got tough.
No he is not a musical legend and no he was not a first-rate lyricist but I never looked to Nip for that, I largely looked to Nip for motivation and inspiration and I got that. TO ME he is a local legend and I felt that way long before he passed away, I do not expect people who are not from Los Angeles (County) to understand why his life and death was so impactful on people like me. For someone who came from nothing in West Los Angeles to millions is LEGENDARY in my opinion, not to mention his community work. I hear what Wack is saying but I also hope that him and people like him also understand the other side of the conversation that I present as well.

i would argue nipsey is a musical legend tho he single handedly changed the way we look at mixtapes before 2010 rappers were "jackin for beats" on tapes. nipsey was doing original music then he charged 100$ on "crenshaw" and people clowned him for it until he made 100k and got to keep all the money.. he was about independence and masters he knew his rights and held labels up for years until he signed in 2017 to release Victory Lap before Nip mixtapes were free now they don't even use that word they'll just call it a project that's the nipsey effect.

1/ People jumped on the Nipsey Hussle bandwagon after his death, and that's especially because of brother Big U doing the peace march which made it a big deal in California. I've known about Nipsey since the early-2010s and I never saw Nipsey having that many fans before his death. It instantly reminded me of the Lil Peep bandwagon after his death and I still have no clue who Peep is and people forgot about him already.
2/ Nipsey made accusations and never backed it up with proof, so the accused had to clear his name by getting at him, and now according to Wack100 it seems they already had beef.

"Rules of the jungle are the rules of the jungle." That was a perfect analogy, simply due to the fact that following the make-believe fantasy world protocols of that jungle will, at some point, lead you to being treated very similarly to animals that get captured in the jungle. This means you'll either eventually be caged up and fed on a set schedule by your very own designated zookeeper, while being observed from the other side of a barrier, euthanized, or succumb to the agitation associated with other caged animals from that same jungle. So, good job for him, living like the true ape he is, jungle-style. 😏

I’m from the East coast and it’s clear as day Nip is a legend. Numbers aren’t the only thing that can make you a hip hop legend, your impact on the game can too and he’s definitely done that. Yea he wasn’t much of a household name over here nor did his songs get the play that they deserved and that’s because he didn’t have a promo machine behind him. It was all from the muscle yet he still rubbed shoulders with heavyweights in the game. He grabbed our attention on the East when he sold his tapes for $100. We laughed at him yet he made a killing off of that, then his name started popping up on different projects from the guys who were house hold names that were getting rotation. His death only did something that was bound to happen already and that’s shed light on the heavyweight that he was becoming in the rap game. There’s a bunch of rappers that checked and didn’t get the same love as nip…HES A LEGEND. RIP 💙

Exactly what I’m saying he was independent and accomplished a lot. He never wanted to be mainstream but he had connections to all mainstream rappers even other celebrities like Lebron and Rihanna. You don’t see Bron and RiRi just praising randos. That man was something but it sucks that people acted like they were messing with him before he died because I was one of the few that was since I grew up in Cali.
