Uncovering my Underground Bunker after an ENTIRE Year..

- One year ago exactly, I built an underground bunker out of wood and I haven't opened it since.. We have no idea what we will find down there. You won't believe what we found.. My guess is there could be mold, tons of dangerous spiders.. maybe an animal fell in and couldn't get out. Or what if someone else found the bunker and decided to live in there.. it would be a bad idea to go in there but we have to open it to see what's inside! If this video gets 100,000 likes we will build a brand new and improved underground survival bunker!

Of course, You must do it at Night time. Instead of Doing it during the DAY time when it is Much brighter out and easier to see everything without the need of a Flashlight.

100k likes is a steep price...but that bunker price isn't bad at all! Hope to see it get made, cuz having an actual professionally built bunker would be legit!
Tip for the bunker export, use galvanized square steel and secure it with screws you bored from your aunt and then cover it with eco-friendly wood veneer

Damn, very good! And seeking advice. Id be interested how it wouldn't get flooded and how you'd cover the entrance with 3ft+ earth/sand when inside? And as a flat roof how it's water resistant as well as ventilation? He was right with the size, you'd easily get cabin fever. Idk how long radiation levels take to dissipate enough to risk relocating after impact but it'd do for an indirect explosive. The two hills might direct pressure and turbulence through it at a higher velocity too, if explosion is either direction they point. I'd consider a kind of mould above it, to protect the biggest vulnerable point, the entrance. Idk how it works myself, just reflecting-i wanna build a dug out

Wood and soil don't mix well unless it's still attached to a living tree. I built a huge root cellar for food storage with waterproofing and constructed with cedar timbers, but it didn't last like I had hoped, even though it was built on top of a hill (for drainage). But I learned a lot - don't use wood like this for your construction. And definitely don't build your bunker in a sunken (depression) location! Any water from a hillside above the bunker will find it's way in. Water penetration WILL ruin everything. Bunkers are not what most people think, they're not "safe havens". They're prisons of your own making. If you don't believe this - go live in one. Do it for at least a few months. You might survive (but probably not) if you actually had to stay in a bunker very long because of design flaws, disease, sewage and rage (yes, rage), injuries, sickness and lack of preparations. There are other and better options then a bunker, our ancestors knew this and used these techniques extensively all over the world. There is also valid reasons military designed bunkers are very different then what civilians build.

Im obviously late but it depends on what you consider your emergency. The most likely major emergency if your not in a risk area is just people panicking and stealing your stuff when they bought out all the stores

The way is below the hill with all the water properly going down into the bunker and wet everything and more moisture. Look like 3 day old. Wood not treated so not look that good after a year.

What you had built was a fall out shelter, not a bunker. Even with fall out shelters you want a minimum of 3ft from the top of the shelter or bunker to the earth surface.
Everyone who owns their own property should have at minimum a fall out shelter.

I have every right to be scared of spiders. When me and my brother were 3, he got a poisonous spider bite, causing his arm to turn green and be hard as a rock. Now imagine this three year old in the hospital, being stabbed with needles while they try and fail to get an IV in his arm. I have every right to be terrified of spiders to the point that I screamed I see one.

They make and sell ground treated lumber that is ment for being in the ground at home depot so technically you could have made it out of wood I used to work at home depot years ago but not all treated wood is rated for ground so make sure you pick the right lumber up
Wood is fine for the roof if you place a tarp over it and cover it with soil. The walls can't be wood.
