My cat is in last stage cancer, this recording has given us an extra few weeks with her that we never thought we would have. It has calmed her and allowed her sleep comfortably through some tough nights. Thank you so much. Her last trip to vet will be tomorrow. Playing this one last time as my heart is breaking.

I feel like I have reached a new level of crazy cat lady tonight by listening to this, but with no shame! As I was typing this, my mom opened my door to let in one of my five furr babies in and said, "your other cat wants you". I already had two on my bed with me. I love my life 💙
I once had 4 kitties. Over the years they've died from illness or old age. Lost my champion purrer in June 2024. She died in her sleep the night before her vet appointment. Have one sweet baby girl remaining and while she rarely purrs I'm grateful she's here.

I got my cat Sophie when I was five years old. We immediately loved each other’s company. Over time, we grew more and more close. After 11 years, she started to sleep in my bed with me. I grew accustomed to falling asleep to her soft purring.
A few days after my 18th birthday, we had to put Sophie down due to an unseen intestinal cancer. She died in my arms on the 21st of September. It’s been over 5 months since I had to say goodbye, and I am still extremely depressed without her in my life.
Tonight I found this video and it has already been bringing back those warm and happy feelings of having her sleep beside me.

-JustThatAwkwardRavenPuff- she and I were close when we first got her, but she was more a family pet, and didn’t really sleep in anyone’s bed for that matter, but after a while she and I became the closest together and she chose to sleep with me in my bed^^ it took a while but once she chose my bed, that was her place!

After a full military career I suffer from ringing in the ears. Making the bedroom quiet only makes the ringing tone more pronounced. A mild background sound, like a fan is just enough to let me rest; but this cat purr works too, and is more pleasant to hear.

@@KubzElhan dogs are okay. I like them but don't want to live with one. But they're completely different animals, so the comparison is useless. But cats are also great and I prefer to live with them. Catify for cats and dogify for dogs. I don't have it in me to do a lot of dogifying.

I suffer from sensory issues due to having autism, and a cat's purr is one of the few sounds I can still handle while I'm dealing with a sensory overload, and it actually helps me calm down. It's one of the few sounds I have no issues at all dealing with no matter how I'm feeling, so this really helps during harder days :3
Ive been having sensory overload also but I'm not autistic or anything I'm actually under the impression is spiritual it feels like I'm thinking too much or fast often and sometimes it's like I can feel my brain and have anxiety overthinking like if I'm not breathing fast enough or even breathing too slow and often I can literally smell everything like grass flowers or even someone cologne that's 20 feet away. It was happening a lot just a few months ago but it stopped and I think it's because I meditated and prayed a lot

I have autistic traits, including sensory issues, and I'm the same way with my cat. Her fur is also calming and so is the cool feeling of her little nose. It gets sometimes where the feeling of my chair feels like it's cutting me and my leg hairs all feel like ants trying to burrow into my skin, but even then her fur is comforting.

We got a new 11 week old kitten a few days ago, and my six month old tortoiseshell cat would not stop hissing at him and was scared of him. I eventually got them to stay on the bed together, and I put this on and left the room. When I returned, she was cuddling together with the new baby boy and they were both fast asleep! A cat's purr actually has various healing effects, it can heal physical, and inner injuries, help you breathe, and having a cat and hearing it purr a lot will actually give you a 40% less chance to have a heart attack. They do this to heal themselves and if you listen to it the effects can be shared, they will purr when injured or dying to heal themselves. They still purr when being pet or content, it isn't necessarily clear why. Look it up if you don't believe it, it's the same amount of htz used in vibrational therapy. Cats basically have a kind of overpowered mechanic to use to their will. If you don't have a cat listen to this when injured it may help.

This video makes me cry but feel comfortable and loved. I had a cat named Tara that I found outside. I took her in, and we instantly clicked. She became my best friend, and I was hers. She would only sleep with me, in my room, and she would only let me hold her. I had her for 10 years. She started having some health problems. She went completely blind, and I knew I had to put her down. When I took her to the vet, she was so scared and I was so sad. She ended up dying of a fear induced heart attack when they took her into the exam room. (With covid, I couldn’t be in there, that’s why she had a heart attack, she couldn’t hear me or smell me) I will never forget her and my heart still hurts. I have a necklace of her paw print that I have not taken off in 9 months.

I always cry when I think about my dear Beau, who I grew up with and lived to be 17 years old. He had the most peaceful purr. I wish I had the ability to record his purr before he passed. I just layed down and my cat was at the foot of my bed opposite from where I’m laying resting his little body. I turned this on and his little head popped up and he let out a tiny “meow”. He got up from his rest and plopped on my lap. I started rubbing his velvety ears and head. Typically after a few minutes of me petting him his tail begins to twitch and swish back and forth like he is getting ready to attack. Then that’s what he does. Bites and grabs onto my hand like it’s his prey. NOT TONIGHT! I’ve been rubbing and petting him for 15 minutes now and he is fast asleep on my lap. I love my life 😍

My Mr.Kitty passed away March 2nd, and he had the loudest purr!!! I only had the pleasure of knowing him for 5 years until an illness got the best of him. When he became really sick he could no longer purr. I was just getting into binaural beats when I noticed these kitty purr video sessions, so I quickly made a playlist for him, and they helped him when he felt his worst, I wanted to return the favor because he showed up on my doorstep sick and stray when I was mourning the loss of another cat I had for 20 years. Mr.Kitty would purr me to sleep those restless nights I longed for Pugslee Sr. Fast forward to today, my neighbors cat came around right after Mr.Kitty passed, and visited me every day since then. Her owners don't believe in fixing cats, and they give her babies away too early...so she started sleeping on my deck, and slowly moved into my bedroom where Mr.Kitty used to stay. Her old home was a very noisy place to be and she did not feel safe. So now she has four kittens 19 days old, and she listens to Mr.Kitty's two playlists. She is so happy and this video will be added to the list. In November everyone including the mom will get fixed, wormed and shots. If I do anything right I want her last litter to be happy and healthy, and I want her to give them up to meet others when she is ready.
Thank you for making such a lovely calming video, I'm sure it reminds her of when she was a kitten and her mother was purring for her. That's the least I can do is play nice sounds for these little angels in fur coats! They are little drops of sunshine!♥=^.^=♥

AND exactly 5 years to the day when Pugslee SR. passed and after Mr.Kitty showed up, another pregnant Mama appeared, who also had a litter under a porch a street away. She led me to them and i rescued everyone, only one was pure grey like Pugslee Sr., and it was the same location my dad found Pugslee Sr. as a kitten in the rain 25 years ago. so this family all got fixed too and are happy spoiled and thriving.(However Mr.Kitty must have been abused and teased for all he wanted to do was bite my hands. I couldn't hug him and cuddle him it took a whole year to establish a friendship of trust) I can remember crying to the sky one rainy night asking the universe to send me a cat i could love, that would love me back, Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it, I got more than one, that's for sure....

My cat just passed away today, I had to put him down as he was suffering from late-stage kidney failure. I don't know how I'll make it these next few days, weeks, months, etc. but the purring sounds almost exactly like his and has helped tremendously to soothe me, and will hopefully help me sleep my first day without him cuddling up beside me. My thanks.

I had to have my baby put down from low white blood cells and being very sick. It takes months to heal, just know they forgive you for anything. The way I healed was "forgetting" for a few months then preparing myself to think about him again and thanking him for everything. Maybe watch a tarrot video on what your pet thought about it could help

the frequency that cat's purr at 25-90 Hertz can help mend broken bones, torn tendons, muscles, lower blood pressure ( same as petting a dog). I believe only Jaguar's are the only big cat that doesn't have a purr.

Jaguars are not the only cats that are not able to purr. In short, cats can either purr or roar. Not Both.
Only the smaller cats- - not just house cats, but also bobcats, ocelots, lynxes, cougars and others- - have what it takes to purr. One big cat that purrs but can't roar is the cheetah.

My baby girl, Ringo passed away earlier this year. She had breathing complications due to short nasal passages. She had the cutest squished up face. She was never not purring. If we couldn’t find her, we listened for the purring and slight wheezing. I miss her so much. Purring audio like this helps me remember how happy she always was, sleeping up by my head just purring away.

Since people are sharing their beloved cat stories, I thought I would share mine too!
So before I was born, my parents had just moved into the house we're currently in. At the time, there were a lot of stray cats in the area. My mom started to put out food bowls for them, and surely enough, cats came to our back deck to eat! My mom and dad actually got some regulars on the deck!
This has been happening for a short while now, and my mom starts to notice a cat sitting off on the side, not really eating anything. The stray is a fluffy orange tabby cat, with stunning green eyes.
Anyways, he's just sitting there, and my mom gets worried for him. She tries to give him some food, but he doesn't eat it (later, we find out that my cat didn't eat meat!). She eventually got him to eat a (meat free) meal, and got him some water.
So, my mom had fallen for this cat instantly. But since both my parents are allergic, my dad had to stop her from adopting. But, they still took him into the vet when they were sure he was, in fact, a stray. He didn't have any sort of chip, and there was no collar. My mom, around this time, started to call him Charlie.
A couple days later, my mom comes home from work. And who's waiting there for her? Charlie, with a red bow around his neck. My dad decided to adopt him after all!
Now, this is where I come into the picture. When I was born, Charlie just decided "fuck it, this kid is under my protection now." He was my best friend. My first word was "Kitty." He was the best cat I could ever ask for, and no one can replace him, or even try. Charlie was my very first friend.
Though, he had always been sick, and had health problems. After years of struggle, we had to put him down. I miss him so, so much. It's been nearly 9 years without him.
And this cat video brought it all back. The goods, the bads. I still miss my Charlie dearly, but I feel closer to him when I'm listening to this video.

When I was a child before I was born Jet was born into the family. He adopted me after I was born. Protected me from my family abusers. Was always close to me lay with me played with me. Best friends. Came to me for everything. Purring helped me feel relaxed n safe. But I’m learning now about purring n healing so maybe it was healing trauma too while I was enduring it. My abusive narc mother wanted rid of him. But family disagreed. Caught her once out of envy trying to snap jets neck after bitterly stating to him I loved Jet more n that he stole her child. I came in to stop it. I was 9 years old. All I ever got from her was physical verbal n emotional n psychological torture n abuse from her. My dad n sister n cat were the only ones who loved me n were looking out for me. N yet my mother was envious of that. All she had to do is treat me right. But her abuse just got worse n worse. She used me as a scapegoat then punished me for being affected by it n not being close to her. Anyway she wasn’t the only abuser in my family. And in the end she wasn’t the last. After leaving abuse at 22. My whole family became abusers slanderers n etc. but as a child still she took me from my dad n my cat n sister. I wasn’t allowed to see them except for once a year. This after when social workers were called by school after teacher spotted bruising on my body. She threatened social care would take me away from my precious dad sister n cat if I ever told anyone about abuse at home again. Then in the end at 9 she took me away from them. My cat jet lay between me n my sister on one holiday to see my dad. But woke up suddenly n had a heart attack n passed away frozen like that in agony. I was 11 years old at the time. Jet suffered his whole life in pain n agony he had a hole in his stomach. But at 14 he outlived his brother who died at 10 and was healthier. His brother would fight him a lot. His mother was sweet but had bladder problems. My oldest sister got her from a friend. Where Jet n Tom came from. Maybe why my mother hated Jet was because my oldest sister got Dainty Jets mother just before she left home to get away from the abuse she got from mother. The abuse I got more or less. She resented it. N so even got my dad to murder all her bunnies to spite her.
One time I caught my mother telling Jet to take care of me. I was confused by that too since she wasn’t nice usually.
After killing the bunnies I was 6 n it wasn’t the only things she did while I was growing up. When I was 7 my older brother at 18 killed a bunny she loved. N blamed it on me. This was so to get me back after mother found out he had been sexually abusing me. My mother called me down called me a murderer said I would kill people when I grew up…. (usually a projection with narcs was this a confession from her ? Now thinking back) ….and that I will be in prison for the remainder of my life. N how to never call her mummy because she is no longer my mother nor me her daughter n she disowns me. I remember freezing n then I must have blacked out. When I came around I couldn’t remember any of what happened until I was older n my brother brought it up in a nasty way to make fun of me. But I think now it was so traumatic to a 7 year old brain n it shut down n forgot the trauma. Anyway
There’s more I can say but I won’t
But Jet was my healing escape from abuse, as with my dad who loved me n protected me n acted as both mother n dad in my life, as was my sister at the time who took care of me much like a mother figure one needs as a child. Except for when I grew up n left abuse different story then with her.
I can tell this cat is a male just by it’s purring.

Everybody talking about their cats so i'll share my story
Growing up i had a bunch of cats. I believe we got our first cat when i was in 1st grade. Anyway, we kept on getting cats and then we got our 3rd cat. He was my cat. He was the peak on light in my life. When i was feeling down, he'd come and cheer me up. My mom was a fan of Irwin Goodman so we named this beautiful black&white cat Irwin. We moved houses together, we would sleep together, we basically did everything together until he got old. He started having problems with bladder control so while i was at my dad's house, my mom gave him away. She didn't say anything until i asked her where Irwin is and she responded with "He ran away". I'll never forget that. The next 6 months i spent searching for him with no results, obviously. About 3 years later my oldest brother told me the truth and i was upset. I still miss him to this day and i really wish he was still here.

Two and a half months ago I was given a couple five month old kittens that had been mistreated. The first few weeks they didn't want to be touched at all but they have been learning to trust me and my family. Today I turned on this video and hid the phone under my hoodie. While this video was playing, my cat who still tends to not want to be cuddled too much curled up in my arms and purred.
Lately when I want to feel calm or focus or try to sleep, I put this on.
While I'm unable to have a real pet, this comforts me a great deal.

My anxiety have been through the roof 24 hours a day for the past 4 days. I love leaning my head on my cat to hear his purring but obviously I can't keep my head on him for 8 hours. This video is a very good replacement and it is helpful to lower my anxiety. The only thing missing is the vibration caused by purring.

I love this particular cat purr vid. The sound is crisp and one can hear the "details" of the purring. It's not overly sharp, not soggy, but is the closest (imo) that one can get to the nearby cat purring experience. Thank you!
My kitty has severe anxiety to the point that he has to sleep in a stroller at night otherwise he walk around crying all night, Everynight, today he started crying at 5am and it was a continuous cry that nothing I did got him to stop, I tried petting him, Feeding him, Offering him water and playing with his toys and he still wasn’t happy, I found this sound and played it for him and he’s calmed right down and is resting in his stroller..THIS IS CURRENTLY THE BEST SOUND IVE FOUND ON HERE TO HELP CALM HIM DOWN, I love it 💓💓

I fostered a kitten found on a sidewalk wet with her umbilical. I got her when she was only 4-6 hours old. At day 2 she developed diarrhea (which probably completely normal). My grown lady cats wanted nothing to do with her, initially. My Cane Corso became enchanted. He did all the “Mom Duties”, helped show me the right way to help stimulate her potty. After a few more days I realized I had all the warm fuzzy snuggles, but not a Mama purring. I turned this on, popped it under her at night. She’s almost 4months old. She is a foster fail. My Corso can’t do without her. She thinks she’s a large dog and is afraid of nothing. I turn this on, she climbs up on my chest and sounds EXACTLY the same. Thank you, you helped save a life.
2 year followup. Lulu is a 10lb boss lady. I give her anything she dreams of. She sounds like this when she purrs, same little cycle hitch. She is a lovely kitty with a big dog swagger. And has zero fear of dogs, thanks to her big dog daddy. Thank you, you saved her life.

Yeah me too because I've been in alot of pain because I was hit by a car when walking the crosswalk and the light was on the walk thing and a car tryed to get hurry and get pass before I got in his way, this helps so much so thanks. Ever since Sammy died I have these nightmares about what happened and so I want to talk to someone and they said to listen to music when you go to bed. I eventually found this and the nightmare have yet to come. Thank you for you and your cats kindness 10/10! Sammy was my grey and white cat. H was sadly run over when my step father wasn’t paying attention and ran him over backing out of the driveway. I miss you Sammy I hope he is doing amazing in heaven.

i have PTSD due to abusive adult behavior; and everytime after im mentally or physically abused I cuddle with my cat. she passed away a few days ago, and i got a new one that looked just like her. This made me tear up because it sounded just like her. Thank you.

I listen to this to fall asleep on nights when my kitten sleeps with my parents. He goes back and forth but is one of the first to sleep in the same bed as me at all so I take what I can get. Still though some nights I get lonely and this helps me feel like he's right next to me and makes me feel less anxious so thank you very much for making this

We found this purring sound on TH-cam. We found a Pre-weened kitten in our barn with no mom cat...we heard him mewing for two days but couldn’t find him. Until about dusk yesterday when I found him in our yard. He is nay about three or four months old so we are feeding him with a syringe and keeping him in a cat carrier, but the best part was finding this video/sound on TH-cam! Thank you for recording it for 8 hours...it puts him right to sleep...

I, like many other children (well I’m 18 now but you get the point), have divorced parents. I go between my mom and dads house. I used to have a cat at each house, my cat Chimay at my mothers, and my cat Fergie at my fathers. About a year ago we had to put Fergie down due to a diabetic issue where she refused to eat. I still think about her everyday, and my heart still aches when I’m at my dads, unable to pet her to sleep like I did in the past.
Being able to use this video allows me to remember when I used to snuggle with my cat to fall asleep, as she always had a loud and happy purr. Thank you.

My family had to put my 15 year old cat to sleep today, it’s breaking my heart, she always was there for me and would purr right next to my face as we went nini together. We tried to treat her, we spent a lot on a vet visit for her and that medicine but she continuously would be sick, and lost so much weight so fast. She threw up almost daily. She had random accidents. Would have a lot of shakes I noticed. I just miss her so much. I wish I had more time or could have done more for her. I also felt it was selfish to keep her here when she was most likely progressively getting more ill. I love you Zoe. I will be with you again someday. 😓
Such a sweet relaxing sound.... i took in an old street cat not so long ago. Though she does not like to be picked up, she has learned that I give great belly rubs and now comes and asks for them. She also sleeps on the bed and regularly her purring wakes me up. I recorded her purring so that I will have something to remember her by in addition to all the memories.
I switch houses because my parents are divorced and this reminds me of my special cat, bunny, I love her and miss her all the time. She waits for me to get home and is always near my side and hates everyone else but me. And we had a special connection when I first saw her. She always understands me too.💜💜💜💜💜 I need her more then anything in this terrifying world.

Awesome. One way to gain the trust of feral cats and kits quickly is to purr at them as much as you can. And instead of apologizing in English when you step on a cat, they understand better if you just purr at them. Purring is magic. It also makes me wonder- have any of you ever seen the youtube video about 'God's Cricket Chorus-' how the chirping of crickets slowed down actually sounds like a heavenly symphonic chorus? Someone with the audio tools should experiment with a recording of a cat's purr to see if there's something similar with cats. By the way, one of my kits hopped up here looking for the new cat. She started purring just as loud as the video. I told her that she has a secret admirer, and she was pleased. Happy purring everyone!
I have two cats. They both purr loud enough to be heard across a mid-size room and are very affectionate, both to their humans and to each other. You would think I wouldn't have to look for purring sounds on TH-cam, but they refuse to sleep in separate rooms and Baloo the Baby MUST sleep by mommy so Skitty goes in my parents room because has to know where her brother is at all times.
We put a cat door on my bedroom door. We took the flap off. There's literally a hole in my door for my cats. I've seen them use it; I know they know what it is. I have a ribbon tied to my fan so it'll blow in the wind and I sleep with a disco lamp on because it's basically a giant ball of laser pointers. The only thing left to try is making them jealous. I hope they hear this (it's on full volume with no headphone) and do what they always do when they see my phone near me; sit on it and demand to have my attention.
This has helped sick kittens I am caring for...just came back from the vet who can't believe they are still alive and have improved....they provided the necessary meds for the illness but this provided a large part of the holistic approach which always increases the chances for survival

My indoor/outside kitten pie, named Mr. Kitten, is on one of his rare journeys on the inside of the house! With a full belly, he snuck in bed with his momma, exactly what I was hoping for!!!
