i think they changed it so that crouching is actually better for recoil than proning, to not encourage dropshotting as much. i don't remember the exact values, but its between 5% and 10%

My only real complaint about the A1 is that when I was last using it, putting a sight on it would flatten the top of the scope portion and that really made it weird to aim down (in MY OPINION). Just a minor aesthetic thing lol but from what I can tell that's not a thing anymore
The Aug's scope rly is an S tier sight, I kinda wish the A2 and A3 versions had it by default as well. (unless they do and I'm dumb, I haven't used either of them in a while.)
the Aug A1 is so underrated basically no recoil and it just feels super clean to use, can beam people from basically all ranges I even run it on Desert Storm. My setup is Delta Sight, Blue Laser, ARS Suppressor, Angled Grip, and Armor Piercing.
i prefer the aug a1 from the a3 because you can have 2 sights without having to grind like 300 kills for the canted ones (also, you can have 3 sights if you have the default, one on top, and a canted sight)
insanely good? nah its goated. the first gun i ever did more than a 1000 kills on is this, right before the other goated, Remington 700. i basically spent so much time on this gun its the gun i get my most average good games with, that being 50 kill games. also just use 9x19 its great
Fun Fact: Crouching actually reduces recoil by 5% (I think) and shooting while prone shows a decrease of 15%!
