I long to be back in the Philippines while walking with you. There's a sense of peace, harmony, prosperity, respect and love. The Philippines may be a developing country but America is on the decline.
People are so much at ease, see the children they are so happy being there squatting, running around, yelling and talking happiness is overwhelming I really love them.
The children learned to accept poverty to survive. They will be a lot happier if their living conditions are better.
There you are, you got the point exactly that's where I was hinting at.

All those low electrical wires..how do they keep from getting shocked by those? How do they keep fire from spreading if one catches fire? Did that man at the end give out free ice cream? lol

These little alleys and slums reminds of something out of Bladerunner.
I try to tell my friends why they should be ecstatic to live in the USA, I live in Thailand and there are many places like this. Seeing the looks and the eyes of the older folks you can see that living has sucked the life out of them. Some of the looks you got while walking would have made me stick to the wider streets @20:00 but I too have ventured into some most unsavory places in Bangkok and been surprised at the friendliness and openness of the folks I met .
Great look into the back allies and for the ride along...Question do you speak Tagalog? It night be handy to know in those back allies... :)

One thing I'd like to see is a subtitle telling us how much it costs to buy out a street food vendor, ice cream, etc. Only one time I saw you actually pay the vendor. I got an idea of cost for a bigger stall but that is it. I kind of know prices for some of the things. You do a wide variety in a number of different cities. For me it would be nice to see how much it costs in different areas. I love the feeding videos. I occasionally do it through my family over there but I'm the only one who sees the videos. It's pretty cheap when we buy snacks from the Sari Sari store.

Haha at the kid taking a wee, who you then noticed and turned the camera away. But this is what it is, true life. Fantastic to see just normal day to day life of normal people doing normal things. I would love to just walk the streets like this when i visit, would being a white foreigner bring a different ambience? Would i get noticed?

Ano ba yan = literally "what is that" but if used as a violent reaction it means wth
Para saan(san) ba yan = what is that for
These expressions are from people who are camera shy or are insecure in front of a camera, they're not confident in front of a camera because they're privacy they think is violated or they're ashamed or embarrassed of something the camera sees and they dont like it, hence the expression "ano ba yan"
