I am a Canadian octogenarian who has enjoyed a lifetime listening to my compatriots Glenn Gould and Angela Hewitt play the piano. Now that I have heard all of Marta Czech’s perfect performances, I think that she should be made an honorary Canadian. 🇨🇦

Sometimes we find ourselves saying more than we know, and only later realise just how truly we have spoken. When I first came across this astonishing artist a few days ago, and played some of her magical, wonderfully-perceptive performances, I found myself, quite spontaneously, calling her miraculous Marta. But when I began playing through her great readings of Beethoven's thirty-two piano sonatas, and the three he wrote as a twelve-year-old, I noticed after a time what had been staring me in the face: the dates of the recordings. Many were the same. So I went back and checked the ones I had already played, then checked each as I played the rest, and was staggered. Marta turned twenty-two on the 25th of November 2020, and on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of that month, and the 11th, 12th and 13th of August in the same year, she played, superlatively well, and recorded, superlatively well, every one of Beethoven's sonatas -- and all from memory! Miraculous Marta, indeed! For lesser mortals that is beyond impossible, but for Marta the beyond-impossible, achieving that ravishing triumph, needed only seven days. Seven miraculous days! This splendid girl, this glorious young woman, this beautiful young lady has been blessed with a cascade of gifts, the gifts that come only from God. Watching her I feel like Schumann when he first he saw Chopin playing, and exclaimed, 'Hats off, gentlemen. A genius!' MARTA: Miraculous, Amazing, Ravishingly Triumphant, Astonishing. You are a rich gift to the world, and give richly to it. Thank you, thank you, thank you...

Wow. I did not know this.
Just more reason to appreciate what a gift we have to be able to access these masterpieces.

All of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas in a mere seven days, then in two other days the Ninth Symphony via Liszt and the Diabelli Variations. Miraculous Marta, indeed! A phenomenal talent, a true genius. The Lady of Fazioli. The Queen of Beethoven.

Huge inner peace from every sound. God speaks behind every sound in Beethoven's message and Martha's performance.

Thank you Marta for all these riches, for sharing with the world your great and wonderful gift. I am very glad that TH-cam's algorithm chose in its blind random way to send your channel to me. It was like finding in the desert a golden pool filled with water rising from some sublime depth. All thirty-two of Beethoven's sonatas! And Bach, and more! Played on a Fazioli! And recorded superbly. I feel like the man in the poem; 'O frabjous day!'

Since I last eleven-year pensioners' time, I listen my beloved music mostly at You Tube during the cooking for lunch at You Tube, at the moment almost always piano pieces by J.S.Bach from my most honored piano player, especially Friedrich Gulda, Tatiana Nikolayeva, Maria Tipo and as pop music Yuming and Kate Bush. Listening to the music from the piano players or singer song writers always bring me mental stability, satisfaction or brave joy in order to increase my motivation to better cooking and I have little failure when cooking. Your piano playing almost always have such effects get me to better cooking, but this time it is different by listening to No. 32.
When listening to fourth and fifth variations in the second set, my concentration on cooking would almost have been lost in a short time because your piano playing in these places so strongly absorbed my listening concentration.

Give stunningly different view angle into the music. Re-discovering of the music. High voice and low voice make two perfectly separated streams, then come back to one, separate again, and so on. Wonderful.

Sonaty Beethovena w Pani interpretacji działają bezpośrednio, subtelnie a zarazem mocno. Dzięki Pani interpretacjom odnajduję w sonatach to, czego szukam: rozpiętości beethovenowskiego geniuszu. Dziekuję! Życzę dalszych sukcesów....
